I am building an application that exists of two different "versions". Each version has a different layout (different strings, images, colors and fonts). I accomplished this using macro's: there's one header file (let's call it Layout.h for now) that is included in all classes. Layout.h contains a #define statement that determines what version should be built. If this statement, let's call it DARK_STYLE, is true, DarkStyle.h is imported. If the statement is false, BrightStyle.h is included. Both DarkStyle.h and BrightStyle.h contain the same defines, but with different values. For example:

So far so good. Now I have come to the point where the application has to be shipped. Unfortunately, each version has a different app icon and different splash screen. What I'm trying to do now is to get the app's Icon.png and Default.png files generated automatically based on the DARK_STYLE macro from Layout.h using an Xcode build script.
The build script I have at this point is able to determine whether DARK_STYLE is set to 1 or 0. The next step is the one I have trouble with: copy the Icon.png and Default.png assets belonging to the dark style to the application's bundle (the build script is executed after the "Copy Bundle Resources" phase).
The following does not work:

Create a separate build target in your Xcode project for each version of the app. Make sure each target includes the correct version of each asset.

Changing the path of a Yocto environment is not a good idea, as I found out. This also explains why e.g. bitbake can be run regardless the current working directory. Absolute paths are stored in many places during the build process, even subdirectory structures are created into the tmp directory tree. I ended up in rebuilding from scratch - which takes a long time.
A documentation of how I tried to modify all paths:
find . -name *.conf -exec sed -i 's/media\/rob\/3210bcd4-49ef-473e-97a6-e4b7a2c1973e/home/g' {} +
This step replaces absolute paths, within many dynamic conf files (from xx/xx/linux to /home/linux - where linux was chosen for historical reasons. I could mount the partition also as /home/yocto or whatever name).
Next was deletion of subdirectory structures with the old path in the hope that the build process would recognize these deletions, and still rebuild quickly:
find . -name *3210bcd4-49ef-473e-97a6-e4b7a2c1973e* -exec fakeroot rm -r {} +
It was not recognized. Then I gave up.
From a user new to Yocto, familiar with former/classic crossbuild environments based on make menuconfig etc.
My question is:
Why are absolute paths generated & used throughout tmp instead of treating everything as relative?
Or, asked differently:
Why not use something like ${TOPDIR}/tmp throughout the build configuration, instead of hardcoding the absolute path to tmp?
Question: In Git Bash on windows, how would you run the following in a way that it will also search folders with spaces in the name, and execute on files with spaces in the name?

Context I'm running Git Bash on windows, trying to execute a command on all found .png files to convert them to .webp format. It works for all files without spaces in the path, but it's failing to find files with spaces in the filename or files within folders that have spaces in the folder name.A few considerations:

Could you please help me with find syntax. I'm trying to replicate the effect of this command, which opens all files in each of the specified subdirectories:

I'd like to make it work for any set of subdirectories below mockups.
I can show all subdirectories with:
find mockups -type d -print
But I'm not sure how to use xargs to add in the "*". Also, I don't want to separately execute open for each file with "-exec open {} \;", because that launches 50 different copies of Preview, when what I need is one instance of Preview with the 50 files loaded into it.

The version of find I have at hand allows to specify a + sign after the -exec argument:
From the man page:
-exec command {} +
This variant of the -exec action runs the specified command on the
selected files, but the command line is built by appending each
selected file name at the end; the total number of invocations of
the command will be much less than the number of matched files.
The command line is built in much the same way that xargs builds
its command lines. Only one instance of `{}' is allowed within
the command. The command is executed in the starting directory.
That means that as few instances of open will be executed as possible, e.g.:
find mockups -type f -exec open {} +
I'm developing a large web application in Eclipse and some of the resources (I'm talking about files, NOT code) are getting deprecated, however, I don't know which are and I'm including them in my ending war file.
I know Eclipse recognizes file paths into its directory because I can access the link to an image or other page while I'm editing one of my xhtml pages (using Control). But is there a way to localize the unused resources in order to remove them?
Following these 3 steps would work for sites with a relatively finite number of dynamic pages:
Install your site on a filesystem mount'ed with atime (access time).
Try harvesting the whole site with wget.
Use find to see which files were not accessed recently.
Done.
As I know Eclipse doesn't have this (need this too).
I'm using grep in conjuction with bash scripting - shell script takes files in my resource folder, put filenames in list, greping throught source code for every record in the list and if grep find it it is removed.
At the end list is printed on console - just unused resources retain in the list.
UCDetector might be your best bet, specifically, the custom marker aspects of this tool.
In Eclipse I have not found a way. I have used the following shell command script.

The only way I've ever had different files, is having a separate Target, and only include certain files in certain targets.
EDIT WITH AN EXAMPLE
Ok, I've done exactly the same in another project. We had a DefaultProperties.plist file, which was included in the target.
We then had 3 copies of this, NOT included in the target, ProdProperties.plist, TestProperties.plist, UatProperties.plist.
We built for environments on the command line, using xcodebuild, as it was built using an automated build server (Bamboo).
Prior to executing xcodebuild, we would run this:
cp -vf "./Properties/Environments/${environment}Properties.plist" ./Properties/shared/DefaultProperties.plist
touch Properties/shared/DefaultProperties.plist
with $(environment) being passed into the script.
You could do something like this with the RunScript phase in Xcode.
