currently i am having the app that has lot of functionality and it is available free for users on Appstore but i want that the user can upgrade the same app to paid version to view more functionality ? How we do this
PLZ Help

you can update your app which is currently on appstore and in that update you can include inAppPurchase for the item you need to lock so this way your app will be there in appstore and with the feature of free and paid version ;)

So you need to add new update to your app and in this version you need to directly add your app as a paid app...

Perhaps, the only way is to release free update with all the new features initially locked, but can be unlocked with in-app purchases.
The other way is to release full paid version of your app and share data between free and paid version.

I have a confusion about my Application which is removed from sale by my self by Deselecting All countries from Rights & Pricing section. The reason why i have to do this is because i want to launch it into App store with new Update.
My Question is in this scenario will Apple Approve this Update version of the Application.
If No then is there any alternate solution for it please guide me friends.
Thanks in Advance.
When you remove app from sale Apple just hide your app from App Store.
Your app is not removed from App Store.
You can go ahead and release the update of your application.
Wait for Apple to approve it.
And release it on App Store.
Removing App by Deselecting All countries will just hide the Application from the store its still there ready for sale so while Update this App Apple will treat it similar like a normal App Update & will Approve it if all the things are correct.
Hope this Helps.

Let's assume that somehow my company manages to get the Developer name changed in the Developer Account at the App Store. In this case, what would happen to the existing apps:
Will the existing apps remain happily at the App Store without any effect?
Will I need to get new certificates from the Developer portal?
If yes, will I need to submit a new build of my Apps to the App Store?
If yes, will the bundle identifier of my subsequent releases would be different?
If yes, then how would the users be able to get updates to the apps?
Any help would be great!
I asked about it here, and we made renaming.
Non of our apps were forced to be resubmitted. We used all certificates with old names and it worked fine. I can't provide info about legal information that we send to Apple (not a coders did that), but one day we just saw another company name in the App Store and we did nothing to our apps.

i've recently uploaded my first app on iTunes Store, it's been accepted and now it's on-line.
i've downloaded some promo code (redeem) and eMailed away to let them download it free and try it.
but now i saw there was a (little) error in my app and wanted to submit a new corrected version.
my question is: what happen if apple accepts my new version, will the redeem code still work, is someone has not used it before?
i know that developer can ask 50 redeem for every version of an app, so i guess that they are linked just to that version...
has someone here an experience about that?
thanks,
luca
The promo codes are still valid (but only for the rest of the 28-day-period after they've been requested) after the update is live. See iTunes Connect Promo Codes & App Updates.

I'm trying to figure out if I can update my iPhone to iOS 5 now rather than wait all the way till fall, is there a way to do this?
Your iPhone must be linked to a Apple Developer account in order to update to iOS 5. Find someone who has an account and ask them or pay $99 for a developer account and an early upgrade.
To answer your question directly, you can't: you need iTunes 10.5, a mac only application for now.
iOS betas are released for developers to test their applications, not end user to test Apple's. Unlike many other betas, a bug reporter exists but isn't the main purpose of this.
Also, developers are clearly asked not to install the betas on their main devices (their personal iPhone for example). Not only could doing so result in a very buggy day to day experience, but Apple sometimes releases versions a few days after the previous version expired, literally blocking the device in the meantime (the Purple Screen of Death).
Sorry to announce you just lost a hundred bucks, unless you buy a mac and start programming (this is a nice opportunity isn't it?).
IOS 5 is still in beta and available only to Apple Developer program subscribers.

I have been pleased to see my application updated to the new version I submitted to the appstore recently. But I was surprised to see that in itunesconnect, I could not access to the information about the first version anymore.
In particular, I would like to see the customer reviews of the previous version of my app. It seems they have been deleted.
Is there any way to retrieve them?
Thanks !
Christophe
I use App review finder which is pretty ugly, but does the job. It also allows you to find reviews for all countries on the App Store
