I have installed Win7 on one machine. After some days, if I put that hard disk in another machine, it keeps restarting and does not boot up. How can I solve this?
Does the hard drive have the Win7 installation on it? If so, it probably won't boot in another machine, as each installation is customized to whichever machine installed it. You will probably need to repair/re-install the OS to make it boot.

I have just installed Apache NetBeans on my Arch Linux desktop, and on the first run it is taking a very long time to load. Is this a problem with NetBeans? If so, how do i fix it? My computer has 4gb of ram and a 2-core CPU.
I have done some research on the Manjaro forum here and found that running _JAVA_AWT_WM_NONREPARENTING=1 netbeans in a terminal will make the editor work.
I have an apache-tomcat (8.5.35) that runs a web app. It runs on different computers (Windows 10, Mac OS X) without a problem but won't work on a specific computer (also Windows 10). I am not really sure why and have spent hours trying to find out why it won't work. The log files display
org.apache.catalina.loader.WebappClassLoaderBase.clearReferenceJdbc The web application [web-app] registered the JDBC driver [org.postgresql.Driver] but failed to unregister it whenthe web application was stopped. To prevent a memory leak, the JDBC has been forcibly unregistered.
Any idea why it won't work with this specific computer? I have postgresql 10 (x86) installed in this computer. I thought Kaspersky would have been an issue so I disabled it and uninstalled both the Small Office Security and Secure Connection but the problem seems to be linked into Windows or something.
I also tried different versions of tomcat, postgresql, and jdbc drivers (postgresql jar files).
I installed CentOs to VirtualBox. However, after installation finishes, i reboot the system but i get black screen again installation. There is no CentOS start command/button. All are about installation again. How can i fix this situation ?
You have installation media (CD/USB drive) before HDD in boot order. Just remove/unmount ISO and let VM to boot from HDD.
I want to change my operating system from Windows to Ubuntu.
But I don't want to lose my Virtualbox. Does anyone have an idea if this is possible?
Best,
Miriam
You can export your VMs in the OVA/OVF format using VirtualBox (File->Export Appliance, File->Import Appliance). This way you can get a fairly portable VM and back it up on some external hard drive. Then when you replace your host operating system from Windows to Ubuntu, you can import the VMs from the OVA/OVF file back to your Ubuntu host.
I have windows xp in my work and i programming on zend framework.
I need to install ubuntu for execute doctrine orm commands from linux console, I faile to do it on windows.
I thinking about 2 option of UBUNTU installation:
1.install ubuntu 10.04 on Virtual Box (Sun Virtual Machine).
2.create new primary partition and install ubuntu 10.04 directly.
Which options do you suggest to do?
Thanks
If it's something you won't be using much, just stick it in a Virtual Machine.
It's slower because it's running inside another system, so you'll have the windows stuff running as well as the ubuntu stuff, but if you're not going to be using it all the time, then not installing it as a stand alone means you don't mess with your MBR, and it's easier to get rid of when you don't need it anymore.
It's more easy, quickly, and safe if you use a VM, so you don't have to mess with the disk partition and so on.
