How to Create Hyperlink to Open iPhone/iPad App? - iphone

I would like to create a hyperlink that when clicked, it will open an iPhone/iPad application.
Forgive me if this post is already out in the database, but I could not find it. I am not the developer for application, but I need have a link that I can send in email or leave in Google Docs (for example), that when clicked, the app will open.
Is this possible, and if so, how can I accomplish this? I understand I may be over my head as I am not a developer of any sorts; just wondering if there was an easy way to do this, or if there is a free website out there that can generate this for me.
Thank you for any responses.

Open the app from an external link with universalLink or deeplink

I want to open app from an external link, for example a link that I get in iMessage, the question is, I should use deepLink or universalLink, I want to open the app when I tap on the link, then having ability to read the url in the app is enough for me.
And for this matter, I should set a Json file in the website as well? something like this:
https://developer.apple.com/documentation/xcode/supporting-universal-links-in-your-app
It's a bit confusing for me, could anyone gives me a real example and steps?
Thank you
Yes, basically both the app itself and the website need to be aware that you are going to be using Universal Links. There are a few steps to do this:
First you need to include the website as an Associated Domain inside of your Xcode project.
Then for the website you do have to create what is known as the apple-app-site-association file. This lets the the website know which apps are associated with the website.
This tutorial has a step by step on How to setup your website to work Universal Links.
Lastly you will have to have to update your AppDelegate file to handle when a Universal link opens the application.
More info can be found in the official Apple Documentation on Creating Universal Links.

How to link to page inside a flutter app?

When I click on the link I created on the website; If the application is installed, I want it to open and go to the page I want in the application, if the application is not installed, I want it to go to the app store or play store. I searched a lot but couldn't find it. Can you help me.

The solution for you would be deep linking or custom scheme. Them are practically, the same thing. Here you can find a link how to use them:

This is exactly what Firebase Dynamic links was created for.
You can configure urls to redirect based on whether the user has the app installed or not.

Register app to open from Safari's "share" or "open in..." dialog not working. (though works from other apps)

I am trying to register my application to show up in Safari's "Open-in..." dialog when a user clicks the share button on any html webpage.
I have added the public.html (and public.data for good measure) content types to the Document Types in Xcode, as suggested in many answers: (See this question, this question, or this apple documentation.)
And, it seems to work. If I open a .pdf in Safari, I get the "open in My App" dialog at the top.
I can also use the "open in..." dialog from other apps to share the document with My App.
To test it, I built DocInteraction as recommended in this answer, and if I create an html file, My App shows up in the share dialog.
However, My App still doesn't show up in the share dialog in Safari.
When I run it in iOS7 on the iOS Simulator, I only get Mail, Twitter, and Facebook showing up:
The same goes when I test it on my real iOS device:
BUT, I would like you to note that it does seem to be possible! Look at the above screenshot.. SOMEHOW, Weibo has managed this feat. I don't know how, but for some reason Weibo shows up in this list even though My App doesn't.
And you know, actually, this sort of makes sense, given how many apps can probably open html pages. Here is DocInteraction running on my iOS device trying to share an html page:
There it is! My App! (It's actually called "Wulu Podify"). But there are so many apps who are hungry for .html pages, I guess Safari thinks it might be a bit overwhelming to provide them all.
BUT, this still begs the question, how did Weibo get themselves on that list? But, some further digging seems to show that actually Weibo seems to have gotten itself on EVERY list.
I'm not sure how they managed it, but maybe they are going about this differently.
Weibo's "I-will-open-any-document-you-throw-at-me-c'mon-try-it-c'mon" approach might solve this problem, but it's not ideal. I really only want to open html pages.
So. I guess my questions is three-fold:
Is there a way to actually have my app show up in Safari's "Open In..." dialog?
If not, how can I achieve what Weibo achieved, and show up in ALL the dialogs?
Should I want to do that? It seems like it might be a bad idea.
Thanks for any help! I've been at this for a while!!
Update:
So, actually, I didn't realize it but I think Weibo might be a built-in option just like Facebook and Twitter. I assumed it was just there because I have it installed on my phone, but maybe it was one of the iOS6 defaults. I say that because when I test on the iOS6.0 Simulator, I suddenly see Weibo show up in the share screen, even though I definitely haven't installed it on my simulator.
So maybe there is no way around this except for having it built in to Safari by apple..
I know this is years later, but if anyone runs into this old question, as of IOS 8, Apple now allows app creators to make "extensions" which do allow you to add your app to the share menus.
Here is some documentation:
https://developer.apple.com/library/prerelease/ios/documentation/General/Conceptual/ExtensibilityPG/ExtensionScenarios.html
I fear what you want is not possible.
There is a difference between the Share dialog and the Open With dialog.
For the latter it's possible to register your app with document interaction, but the Share dialog only provides the native types (which Weibo is one of - see here: UIActivityViewController).
Also see this question on StackOverflow: is-it-possible-to-add-an-app-to-the-native-share-dialog
its , called extension , fist create a new project and than -->
file ->new -> target -> application Extension -> ####
and select your required extension and done....

App-store: Is it a good idea to include a youtube video link in the description of an app?

Will the viewers be able to click on a link from a description or is this not possible as far as how the app-store works?
I'd like to show the users what the app will look like before they buy it by showing them a video of it on youtube.
Thanks
p.s and no, this is not a marketing question. Only programmers know the answer to this question because we're the ones that are usually writing the description and hooking it all up. I want to know if feasible or not as far as apple is concerned. If you don't like the question, let someone else answer it.
I don't think Apple will like the users being taken out of the App Store, especially on the devices. Also, as the description is text only and there is no way to copy&paste text, putting a link will be pointless.
I would rather embed the video on the website referred as the developer website.
I don't think it is possible to have clickable links in the app store description. I have seen clickable links in updates notes for an app.
Most Links to YouTube I have seen in the App Store use a url shortener as plain text in the description.

iPhone-SDK: How to make iPhone format website?

Is it possible to make my own website as iPhone friendly format when user launches my website in an iPhone browser?
Currently if i launch my website in iPhone, it doesn't look more readable and i need to zoom it to see clearly. If i want to provide my website link will be more clear and readable with bold fonts and buttons ( moreover it is like iPhone friendly format) in the first launch itself in iPhone browser, how to make it success? I could able to see some third party websites like http://tringapps.com and all provide the same logic. How to achieve this and what should i do for that? Where to code?

You'll need to make a separate version, or at the very least an extreme re-CSSing of your existing site.
Apple has some good tips on getting started here.
There are several toolkits to assist in developing the web apps as well, like this and even this.
There is a good book to get started. Building Applications for Mobile Safari
There are many PDFs available from Apple.
