Server-Sent Event with Jersey and weblogic - rest

I am experimenting with server sent event. Am following this link https://jersey.java.net/documentation/latest/user-guide.html#d0e8376. When I make request to the resource representing Server Sent Event, I get 500 Internal server error.
According to following error, I have to register the body writer for org.glassfish.jersey.media.sse.EventOutput. But, how to do it?

Here is solution for my own question.
To register SseFeature, getSingletons method should be overridden in Application derived class, as show in below code.
#javax.ws.rs.ApplicationPath("webresources")
public class ApplicationConfig extends Application {
//....
#Override
public Set<Object> getSingletons() {
Set<Object> singletons = super.getSingletons();
if(singletons == null){
singletons=new java.util.HashSet<Object>();
}
singletons.add(new SseFeature());
return singletons;
}
//....
}

to use jersey latest version ( jersey 2.8 ) we should get rid of com.sun.jersey.api
Jersey APIs are now in org.glassfish.jersey package.
I suggest you to go through the following post and resolve the issues
check the update in question and comments
NoClassDefFoundError ProcessingException while migrating from jersey 1.x to jersey 2.x ( 2.8 )

Oracle ADF: Scheduled Gantt Chart Non-Working Days

I have created a Schedule Gantt chart using Oracle ADF technology. I am trying to specify and show non-working days in a different color based on Oracle's instructions.
The problem is that when I specify non-working days using the backing bean below method:
public int[] getNonWorkingDaysOfWeek(){
return new int[] {Calendar.SATURDAY, Calendar.SUNDAY};
}
and
I face below error when loading the page:
The content of this page failed to load as expected because data transmission was interrupted. Please try again, or contact your system administrator.
When I specify sun in the NonWorkingDaysOfWeek property, then the page loads the error:

I am sure that the error because I return a list of integer but i don't know the solution.
any help would be helpful, thanks in advance
Returning a
List<Integer>
or a
List<String>
does not give JAXB enough information to marshal the XML or JSON.
You generally want to return a domain object with more information than just ids.
Therefore :
public List<Integer> areThereNewOrders() {
should change to
public List<Order> areThereNewOrders() {
#XmlRootElement// this gives the root element the name order
public class Order {
private Integer id;
private String name;
..
}
This allows the JAXB marshaller to convert into
{"order":[{"id":"1","name":"Order 1"},{"id":"2","name":"Order 2"}]}
To unmarshal from Json the name "order" is used.
Try to create a JAXB-annotated wrapper, e.g.:
#XmlRootElement(name="list")
public class JaxbList<T> implements List<T> {
protected List<T> list;
public JaxbList(List<T> list){
this.list=list;
}
#XmlElement(name="item")
public List<T> getList(){
return this;
}
}
and return that from the Jersey method
return new JaxbList<Integer>(r);

EJB3 Stateless Bean is always null in REST-WebService (Glassfish3, EJB3, Stateless Bean,)

I hope you can help me with this:
I have a WebProject created with Eclipse as a dynamic web project, running on a Glassfish3 Server. I’m using EJB 3.0 to create a stateless Façade(#stateless Annotation) that implements my business logic:
#Stateless
public class Facade {
public void test(){
System.out.println("test hat geklappt!!");
}
}
Additionally I’m using a RESTRessource to offer my REST WS that uses my EJB with (#EJB Annotation) the business logic:
#RequestScoped
#Path("/prescriptions")
public class Ressource {
#EJB
private Facade facade;
public Ressource() {
super();
}
#GET
#Path("/user/{userid}")
#Produces(MediaType.APPLICATION_JSON)
public void getUser(#PathParam("userid") String userid) {
facade.test();
}
}
Although I can get into the REST WS and call it, my EJB is always null and I cant find a reason why.
I would really appreciate it if you could help me. In case you need more information about the code or something just ask.
Thanks in advance,
Florian
PS: I always get the following error in my log:

Ideally RESTFul class design should be stateless, as explained in this article:
A stateless service not only performs better, it shifts most of the
responsibility of maintaining state to the client application
If you add the Stateless annotation to your Ressource class, you can inject your Facade session bean, and the container will care of the lifecycle of your session bean.
This will make your code run smoothly without the exception.
Don't forget to make your getUser method return a value!
public String getUser(#PathParam("userid") String userid) {
facade.test();
return "{" + userid + "}";
}

GWT: RPC Failure (StatusCodeException)

in my project an RPC interface was implemented to communicate between GWT and a server as described here:
http://code.google.com/webtoolkit/doc/1.6/DevGuideServerCommunication.html
All the existing methods can be invoked fine, but lately i introduced a new method which when calling it results in an RPC failure:
com.google.gwt.user.client.rpc.StatusCodeException: The call failed on the server; see server log for details

(This excecption stacktrace is shown when running in hosted mode).
Here's the changes I made:
I extended my service interface with the new method:
#RemoteServiceRelativePath("myservice")
public interface MyService extends RemoteService {
// ...
Boolean isSomethingValid(String paramToCheck);
}
I implemented my method:
public class PMyServiceImpl extends GWTSpringController implements MyService {
// ...
public Boolean isSomethingValid(String paramToCheck) {
// do something ...
}
}
I added the method definition to the asynchronous interface:
public interface MyServiceAsync {
// ...
void isSomethingValid(String paramToCheck, AsyncCallback callback);
}
That's it. Am I missing anything? Any hints why the RPC failure occurs? In my server log, I can see the following exception:
[7/26/11 11:48:16:618 CEST] 0000004a WebApp A SRVE0181I: [myapplication.war] [/istoolset] [Servlet.LOG]: Exception while dispatching incoming RPC call: com.google.gwt.user.server.rpc.UnexpectedException: Service method 'public abstract java.lang.Boolean com.ubs.istoolset.front.fet.gwt.businessmodel.client.service.MyService.isSomethingValid(java.lang.String)' threw an unexpected exception: java.lang.NullPointerException

I'm not familiar with the com.ubs namespace (is that your code?), but this NullPointerException in your stack trace (server side) is a problem:
Caused by: java.lang.NullPointerException
at com.ubs.istoolset.front.fet.gwt.businessmodel.server.MyServiceImpl.isSomethingValid(MyServiceImpl.java:1906)
what is going on there?

'#{customer.all}' Error reading 'all' on type com.corejsf.CustomerBean] with root cause java.lang.NullPointerException

I googled but can't find a solution for this. It is from Core JSF 3rd.
I did:
1) Included JSF Mojarra in Build path.
2) Included MySQL JDBC driver in Build path.
3) Copied MySQL JDBC driver to Tomcat "lib" folder and "ext" JDK folder.
4) I tested JDBC driver with a small Java app and it succeeded.
CustomerBean from corejsf source code:
public class CustomerBean {
#Resource(name="jdbc/corejsf")
private DataSource source;
public ResultSet getAll() throws SQLException {
Connection conn = source.getConnection();
try {
Statement stmt = conn.createStatement();
ResultSet result = stmt.executeQuery("SELECT * FROM Customers");
// return ResultSupport.toResult(result);
CachedRowSet crs = new com.sun.rowset.CachedRowSetImpl();
// or use an implementation from your database vendor
crs.populate(result);
return crs;
} finally {
conn.close();
}
}
}
Error:

You need to configure a JNDI datasource with the name jdbc/corejsf in Tomcat.
I suspect that datasource is not injected, since nothing in your class path interprets the #Resource annotation. As far as I know, #Resource is an EJB annotation, but Tomcat is no EJB container. Try looking up the datasource programatically.
