Do you how I can do to print a session variable in my view as:
<?php echo $this->session->user_id; ?>
Thanks you very much !
Edit:
To call a session variable in your view, you have to use this code:
$session = new \Zend\Session\Container('session_key');
echo $session->user_id;
try
$session = new \Zend\Session\Container('session_key');
echo $session->user_id;

OK so im trying to get exec() to execute a script that works fine from idle.
If I try a simple script it works fine, such as:
hello = "hello"
world = "world"
print hello + " " + world
But the script I actually want to run wont work and I can only assume its because of the module import, the code is as follows:
import serial
port = serial.Serial('/dev/ttyAMA0', baudrate=19200, bytesize=8, parity=serial.PARITY_NONE, stopbits=1, timeout=5)
port.open
port.write("\x02\x00\x00\x00\x00\x02")
My PHP code is:
<?php
$result = exec('python python.py');#This works fine
echo $result
?>
<?php
$result1 = exec('python proOn.py');# This wont work
echo $result1
?>
Try this:
<?php
$command = escapeshellcmd('proOn.py');
$result1 = shell_exec($command);
echo $result1;
?>
refer this.
I have a PHP if/else statement. This is the code I'm trying to echo under an else condition.
<?php $locked = ForumData::is_topic_locked($post->topic_id);
if ($locked->topic_locked == 1) {echo '<td align="right"><font color="#FF0000">Topic Locked</font><td>';}
else {
echo '<td align="left"><img src="<?php echo SITE_URL?>/lib/skins/flyeuro/images/forums/t_reply.gif"/></td>'; }
?>
The bit I'm interested to echo is this.
<img src="<?php echo SITE_URL?>
If I try this... 'echo SITE_URL'
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_ECHO, expecting ',' or ';'
But this doesn't parse the image, and if I try parsing anything else, it's giving me parsing errors, which I can't fix?
How can I therefore produce an echo inside another echo?
why did you open a <?php tag again, you are already in echo line?
echo '<td align="left"><img src="'.SITE_URL.'/lib/skins/flyeuro/images/forums/t_reply.gif"/></td>';
and what is SITE_URL? Is that a variable, did you forget to put $?
echo prints out the string that you gave as parameter,
echo "foo";
As #hakre mentioned about it, . is used to concatenate strings.
$var = "foo"."bar"; //foobar
So you can use it in echo line,
$var = "foo"."bar"; //foobar
echo "foo "."bar ".$var // foo bar foobar
And It's not important weather variable defined as a string. It would be a constant variable.
define('SITE_URL', 'localhost:8080/phpvms');
echo "my website URL is ".SITE_URL; //my website URL is localhost:8080/phpvms
Remember:
<?php echo "View"; ?>
" and \
this!
Hope that's enough of a hint!#
Your problem is probably solved this way:
echo '<td align="left"><a href="',
url('Forum/create_new_post?topic_id=' . $post->topic_id . '&forum_id=' . $post->forum_id . '') ,
'"><img src="', SITE_URL,
#######################
'/lib/skins/flyeuro/images/forums/t_reply.gif"/></a></td>';
In PHP you can use constants quite like variables, e.g. to output them. You don't need to stack echoes inside each other or something.
Is it possible to use the ZF2 forms a as standalone component? This was possible with ZF1, but I can't figure it out with ZF2.
I can create a form and a validator, but can't figure out how to render the form:
$form = new AddressBookForm('address_book'); \\ extends Zend\Form\Form
if ($this->input->isPost()) {
$validator = new AddressBookValidator(); \\ implements Zend\InputFilter\InputFilterAwareInterface
$form->setInputFilter($validator->getInputFilter());
$form->setData($this->input->getPost());
if ($form->isValid()) {
echo 'valid'; exit;
}
}
// Render form somehow here???
I tried creating a view, but couldn't figure out how to give it the view helpers. Thanks.
I have a basic solution, that seems to do the job
$zfView = new \Zend\View\Renderer\PhpRenderer();
$plugins = $zfView->getHelperPluginManager();
$config = new Zend\Form\View\HelperConfig;
$config->configureServiceManager($plugins);
and then render the form
echo $zfView->form()->openTag($form);
echo $zfView->formRow($form->get('name'));
echo $zfView->formSubmit( $form->get('submit'));
echo $zfView->form()->closeTag();

Form Render in View file
you can do simply by zend framework form view helper.
$form = $this->form;
$form->prepare();
$this->form()->render($form);
#CodeMonkey's method is a good one but the code is incomplete. I cobbled together a working example from his and other answers I found with partial code.

You can use the Zend\Form\View\Helper view helpers to render the form inside a view.
Example: (view context)
My Form:
<?php echo $this->form()->openTag($this->form); ?>
<?php echo $this->formCollection($this->form); ?>
<?php echo $this->form()->closeTag($this->form); ?>
Note that $this->form is the $form variable assigned to the view. Also, view helpers are always available in views as far as they are registered as invokables (this is always true for built-in helpers).
This would render all elements inside a <form ...> ... </form> tag.
Check the other view helpers for further information.
Also, see the example docs: http://zf2.readthedocs.org/en/latest/modules/zend.form.quick-start.html
There's a lot more you can do with this.
None of the simpler answers helped me since I did not have Service Manager set up nor the View Helper methods.
But in a hurry this worked for me:
$checkbox = new Element\Checkbox('checkbox');
$checkbox->setLabel('Label');
$checkbox->setCheckedValue("good");
$checkbox->setUncheckedValue("bad");
$form = new FormCheckbox();
echo $form->render($checkbox);
I am trying to figure out a way to do the following:
I want to make an action which will be loaded through ajax and also its the internal part of the page when page is reloaded.
I know this in ZEND framework by using View Helper, But don't know how to do in Kohana
I am new to Kohana.
EDIT:
Example of what I am trying to do http://www.espncricinfo.com/west-indies-v-india-2011/engine/current/match/489228.html?CMP=chrome
In above webpage when the whole web page is loaded the live score board is loaded with it. But when u click on "Refresh scoreboard" button only the live score board is replaced through ajax.
I want to create an action say action_scoreboard which will be used to bring scoreboard data. And action_index to load the whole page, but while in the view of action_index i need to call action_scoreboard.
Thanks
Not sure if this is the best way to do this, but this is how I like to handle the situation.
public function action_index($raw = 0) {
$records = Jelly::select('scores')->execute();
if ($raw == 0) {
$view = new View('purdy');
$view->records = $records;
$this->template->content = $view;
} else {
$this->auto_render = FALSE;
$this->request->headers['Content-Type'] = 'text/xml';
$view = new View('raw');
$view->records = $records;
$this->response->body($view->render());
}
}
### THE PURDY VIEW ###
<table>
<?
foreach ($records as $record) {
echo '<tr>';
echo '<td>'.$record->name.'</td>';
echo '<td>'.$record->value.'</td>';
echo '</tr>';
}
?>
</table>
### THE RAW VIEW ###
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<scores>
<?
foreach ($records as $record) {
echo '<score>';
echo '<name>'.$record->name.'</name>';
echo '<value>'.$record->value.'</value>';
echo '</score>';
}
?>
</scores>
I used Kopjax - Pjax jQuery ajax module. Its code is available on gitgub
Contoller iscalled MaintainusersController.php
View is called maintainusers/listusers.phtml
How do I push values from controller to view.
foreach ($users as $value){
/// do something here
}
You push values to the view from the controller by creating variables on the $this->view object, which is a member of Zend_Controller_Action. The variables you create on $this->view are accessible in the view script from $this, since the view object is encapsulated within the view script.
For example if you wish to bring the username from the controller to the view, you could this from your action method:
$this->view->username = 'fred';
Which you can access from the view script as:
Username: <?php echo $this->username; ?>
In your example you're pushing an array of values, which you can store directly on the $view in the action method:
$this->view->users = $users;
And then iterate over from within the view script:
<ul>
<?php foreach ($this->users as $user) : ?>
<li><?php echo $this->user; ?></li>
<?php endforeach; ?>
</ul>
