application express web service - enable RESTFul Service - apex

I´m working on applicatin express 4.2.1.00.08. I would like to create a web service via the "Enable RESTful Access" field, but it wont show up. The "Enable RESTful Services" field under "Set Workspace Preferences" is set to "Yes" and i started a new application (page is set to "Page Is Public"). Do i need to install the APEX Listener for having access to that field?

You are right that the APEX Listener (now called 'Oracle REST Data Services') is necessary for RESTful Services.
Download and Install Oracle Application Express Listener
You also need to configure your installation of APEX to enable the APEX_LISTENER and APEX_REST_PUBLIC_USER users in your DB.
Configure RESTful Services
These steps are also described in this Blog post by Anand Bitra.

Connecting to MS Forms connector using Service Principal within logic app

I am creating a logic app that will trigger when a form request is submitted.
The MS Form connector requires me to sign in. This is acceptable during development, but we have a lot of logic apps and so use DevOps to automate deployment.
With the current connector, after deployment we still have to:
manually open the logic app in the portal.
connect using authorized credentials.
save the logic app.
This manual process completely defeats the point of using DevOps with Logic Apps.
Its a similar issue when using the Outlook connector.
Is there a way to supply server principal credentials to these connectors, so that they are correct at deployment time and require no manual intervention?
It seems that it's not supported to login on MS Forms connector with service principal. Connectors that can use service principal authentication will have "Connect with Service Principal" option, like Azure Data explorer. You can give your voice on this feedback to promote this feature.
API Connections with OAuth authentication, like Office 365 and Microsoft Team connectors etc, require manual consent. Unfortunately, at this point in time, authentication for those cannot be fully automated.
Here is a ticket you can refer to.

IBM Cloud API Connect Secure Gateway

Recently, I started seeing an issue when trying to setup secure gateway within API Connect on IBM Cloud, I previously had it working but looks like they changed this wizard interface and its broken since then
here is what I did to recreate the issue:
Setup new APIC instance on IBM Cloud
API connect Manager UI > Admin > Secure Gateways > Add (name & save)
once created, in Secure Gateway Clients section, click on +Set Up
I see no ID or Token generated
no matter what type of client I choose (DataPower, Docker or Installer)
Anyone facing the same issue?
Empty ID and Token when trying to setup Secure Gateway Client
turned out that creating SecureGateway from within the APIC is deprecated feature anyway.
you will need to create standalone SecureGateway resource on Bluemix and call it from your API assembly.
here is the instructions

Retrieve logged user information from cloud foundry web application

We developed a web application using SAP Web-IDE Full Stack; we need to retrieve the details of the user logged into application (as defined in SAP Cloud Platform Identity Authentication Administration), for example display name and assigned groups.
We tried the userapi/currentUser API, but it seems to work only on NEO environment, for this reason is working fine while debugging in Web-IDE, but we get a 404 error when deploying the app on Cloud Foundry.
Do we need to add a new destination to make userapi work also on CF? Or is there some kind of similar solution available on Cloud Foundry?
I highly suggest using the SAP S/4HANA Cloud SDK for such tasks. It is an SDK developed to make building applications for SAP Cloud Platform easy, by providing easy to use mechanisms for all the Cloud Platform mechanisms.
Regarding your task at hand, there is a UserAccessor class that you can use like this:
final Optional<User> user = UserAccessor.getCurrentUser();
This works on Neo as well as on Cloud Foundry, i.e. there is a single interface for both platforms, which allows you to develop your app in a platform agnostic way.
If this sounds like it could solve your problem, I recommend checking out this blog post series to get started.
Alternatively, you can also simply add the following dependency to your project to start testing the SDK:
<dependency>
<groupId>com.sap.cloud.s4hana.cloudplatform</groupId>
<artifactId>scp-neo</artifactId>
<version>2.7.0</version>
</dependency>
For Cloud Foundry use scp-cf instead of scp-neo.
Hope this helps!
P.S.: To answer your question also on a technical level, Cloud Foundry uses so-called JWTs for authentication and authorization. You can check whether a JWT is present by looking at the Authorization header of the request. The JWT should hold the information you're looking for.
In SAP Cloud Foundry if you develop a MTA using XSUAA service to manage User Authentication and Admistration, defined for example in the mta.yaml,
...
resources:
- name: uaa_myapp
parameters:
path: ./xs-security.json
service-plan: application
service: xsuaa
type: org.cloudfoundry.managed-service
...
you can use the UAA API published from XSUAA service self to manage user authentication and authorization (e.g.: retrieve user info, groups assigned, password management etc..). also in the case the application is federated with another IDP.
To consume this API for example to retrieve user info you need to:
Determine the XSUAA endpoint bound to your app (SCP Cockpit > XSUAA service detail > take the value url)
Create a destination (xsuaa_api_destination) of type OAuth2TokenExchange bound to your app with url url took before, and fill OAuth2 authentication parameters with the data contained in XSUAA service detail (step 1).
From your app execute the call xsuaa_api_destination/userinfo, for example using an ajax if you are using JS.
You can find other info in Account and Authentication Service of the Cloud Foundry Environment SAP doc.

Lotus notes enable api/data

I am currently trying to develop an app for a company which uses a lotus notes 9.0.1 server. I am trying to work with their contractor who setup the server and I have no experience with lotus notes. I am going to use rest api to interact with the server but when I call GET on /api I see this the data is not enabled it seems to me that the Domino Data Service is not enabled for it can someone explain the steps to me for turning it on for the data view. So I can tell the contractor how.
Thanks

What about using a search engine?
Each accessible database must be enabled to support the Domino® Data Service.
Tags: Enabling Domino Data Service on a database
To be able access a database with the Domino Data Service, each accessible database must be enabled to support the service.
Note: Remember to also make sure that the Data Service or any other service that you wish to access is first enabled on your server. The Core service is always enabled. Unlike the other services, the administrator does not have to intentionally enable the Core service. As long as the HTTP task is loaded, the Core service is available.
In Domino Designer or Notes®, do the following for each accessible database:
Open the database properties.
Click on the Advanced tab.
For Allow Domino Data Service, select either:
Views only to restrict access to views
Views and documents for full access
In Domino Designer, do the following for each accessible view:
Open the view properties.
Click on the Advanced tab.
Check Allow Domino Data Service operations.
Attempting to access a database that is not enabled typically returns error code 403 The Domino data service is not enabled for this database.

How can I enable login button of identity provider (external) on SP login page

I am using WSO2 Identity server product version 5.0.0. I use SP1. In our latest architecture we use a specific login page for each service provider. Each service provider can be configured under different tenant domains, eventually with differences (for an example, for a tenant is configured the internal and the facebook login but for another tenant just the internal login).
I want to know if it is possible to visualize on the login page the external Identity provider login button according to the Service provider configuration under the specific tenant domain. Please help me to solve this, I am stuck on this advance configuration. I could not find any documents for this.
Yes, according to my knowledge your requirement is possible with WSO2-IS.
Please refer document [1] for Customizing the login page for SAML SSO service providers.
And you can get more custom configuration details using this blog as well. [2]
Also if you need to re-theming wso2 management console, that also possible with WSO2-IS. Please find the reference document [3].
