I've embedded the HTML5 player on my wordpress website. All my songs contain BUY links on soundcloud that link to my song page but right now it opens all buy links in target="_blank" but is it possible to change this to target="_self" ?
No. It's not possible to change this.

Background
Lately, Facebook added a "carousel" ad format, showing multiple slides in a sponsored post. This is now available for non-business users too.

Meta annotation
I am looking for a way to "annotate" my website in a way that it will be showing a carousel in a Facebook post when the url is used in a post. Currently I am using Open Graph (og) meta tags for annotation.
HTML share link
Besides that, I'm looking for a way to add multiple "carousel slides" to a Facebook share link. Currently I am using the following html for Facebook share links:
<a
href="http://www.facebook.com/dialog/feed
?app_id=123
&link=http%3A%2F%2Fmy.url.com
&picture=http%3A%2F%2Fmy.url.com/img.jpg
&name=MyTitle
&caption=MyCaption
&description=MyDescription
&redirect_uri=http%3A%2F%2Fmy.url.com"
target="_blank"
>
Share on Facebook
</a>
Both ways result in the default post format. Can anyone help me with Facebook sharing in carousel format?
This is currently a feature that is being tested and it's not possible to apply for it.
Now this feature is live & when posting on a page select Image format and select carousal, you can add about 6 images to carousal & publish.
I can't see any solutions out there that allow this specific request without a lot of scripting or meta tags so I'm hoping there's a simple way to do this.
I'm looking for a custom share links for all four social networks. Let me give a concrete example.
If someone clicks on a twitter icon link on my site, they're clicking the following:
<a href="https://twitter.com/home?status="Welcome to my site and tell all your friends! #sitename #mysiterules http://bit.ly/site">
<img src="twitter.png">
</a>
it will go to Twitter's site and produce the following:
This allows someone to very quickly promote my site with a custom message that they can change if they like but there's no effort involved outside of clicking the icon link.
This is exactly what I want to do with the other three social networks, with a custom message and links. They can also pull the default logo of my site which twitter can't do.
How can I accomplish this?
I recommend you use the proper social sharing buttons like we implemented in on our live campaign page, but here is some code I stole from a mockup of the campaign page.
<div class="leader-half kids0514-share">Share this on:
<img src="images/en/share_mail.jpg" alt="email">
<img src="images/en/share_fb.jpg" alt="facebook">
<img src="images/en/share_tweet.jpg" alt="twitter">
<img src="images/en/share_pin.png" alt="pinterest">
<img src="images/en/share_plusone.jpg" alt="google plus">
</div>
Not all social sharing buttons are created equal, some have more functionality and even old versions you can still use. Pinterest is pretty minimal. I recommend using the official buttons and full structured meta data, not doing it the way this snippet from the mockup does.
On Facebook you are not allowed to share a prefilled message according to Platform Policy 2.3: "Ensure that all content in the user message parameter is entered by the user. Don’t pre-fill. This includes posts, messages, comments, and captions."
If you want people to share on Facebook I would suggest using the Share button: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/share-button/
I have an audio stream I'd like to include on a Facebook Page, above or at the top of, the wall. Apparently BBC did this (though I can't find the link). Any suggestions on where I should start? I have the html hosted as a Heroku app right now, and can get it to display as a separate link on the Page. But how do I move it from it's own page and onto the Wall?
Thanks much from a FB Developer newbie,
Peter
Peter i believe what you might have seen is actually a page tab, with a feed app included to which they would have developed the feed itself as part of the tab..
tab http://developers.facebook.com/docs/appsonfacebook/pagetabs
if you wish to inlucude a flash movie or audio on the wall itself as a post.
https://developers.facebook.com/docs/opengraph/#audiovideo
if you can find us the link to the page you seen this on it would help alot.
This is not possible, there's no way to embed custom content into a facebook page wall, except via the existing public APIs (none of which will allow auto playing of audio content - this is deliberate)
I need an application that plays a video as the user clicks on my fan page image ..Youtube is a sample app.
I need exactly the same thing for my app.
As I click share on my fan page, it shares the fan page , I am using the http://www.facebook.com/sharer.php with params title, summary,p[url],images[0],url..
As I click on the image on the user's profile page, It needs to start loading a video.
How can I do that?
I'd suggest to use facebook's opengraph protocol, you can use og:video tags with swf from opengraph dynamically on your page:
https://developers.facebook.com/docs/opengraph/
anytime the page with og:video tags is liked - the swf is automatically embedded on the user's wall, users have to click it to start playing exactly like youtube videos.
If I am not mistaken, Facebook does not allow you to auto play in-line videos.
You know with Facebook, how you can share video on your sites and Facebook embeds the videos via flash.
Well on computers and laptop the embeded video will play on Facebook since they have Flash installed. But for iPhone and Android users will just be redirected to the site, I want to stop this and add an alt text stated something like "Flash is needed to view", is this possible?
With HTML you can just do that with something like this:
<p>
<a href="http://www.adobe.com/go/getflashplayer">
<img src="http://www.adobe.com/images/shared/download_buttons/get_flash_player.gif" alt="Get Adobe Flash player" />
</a>
</p>
But I have no Idea if that is possible or not with the mobile phones.
