If I try to extend fe_user table by creating a new Model Object on extension builder in Typo3 6.1.7, it overwrites TCA by writing those lines in ext_tables.php of my extension:
\TYPO3\CMS\Core\Utility\ExtensionManagementUtility::addLLrefForTCAdescr('fe_users', 'EXT:voiwizard/Resources/Private/Language/locallang_csh_fe_users.xlf');
\TYPO3\CMS\Core\Utility\ExtensionManagementUtility::allowTableOnStandardPages('fe_users');
$TCA['fe_users'] = array(
'ctrl' => array(
'title' => 'LLL:EXT:voiwizard/Resources/Private/Language/locallang_db.xlf:fe_users',
'label' => 'prova',
'tstamp' => 'tstamp',
'crdate' => 'crdate',
'cruser_id' => 'cruser_id',
'dividers2tabs' => TRUE,
'versioningWS' => 2,
'versioning_followPages' => TRUE,
'origUid' => 't3_origuid',
'languageField' => 'sys_language_uid',
'transOrigPointerField' => 'l10n_parent',
'transOrigDiffSourceField' => 'l10n_diffsource',
'delete' => 'deleted',
'enablecolumns' => array(
'disabled' => 'hidden',
'starttime' => 'starttime',
'endtime' => 'endtime',
),
'searchFields' => 'prova,',
'dynamicConfigFile' => \TYPO3\CMS\Core\Utility\ExtensionManagementUtility::extPath($_EXTKEY) . 'Configuration/TCA/User.php',
'iconfile' => \TYPO3\CMS\Core\Utility\ExtensionManagementUtility::extRelPath($_EXTKEY) . 'Resources/Public/Icons/fe_users.gif'
),
);
This code overwrites the original fe_users's TCA configuration and the back-end [website user][1] table becomes inaccessible.
Is there any way to prevent this or do I have to delete those lines every time I want to save the changes in the extension builder?
I've found an error in my relationship:
To properly extend fe_users table with a Model Object in Extension Builder, I had to "extend existing model class" \TYPO3\CMS\Extbase\Domain\Model\FrontendUser instead of "map to existing table" fe_users.
In this way, everything works as expected!

I have a TYPO3 extension for some products which uses inline records to add documentgroups to a product. Deleting the product should also delete the documentgroups (inline records).
The documentation says behaviour.enableCascadingDelete is set to true by default, but the documentgroups are not deleted. Setting this value in the TCA does not make a difference.
'documentgroups' => [
'exclude' => 1,
'label' => $ll . ".documentgroups",
'config' => [
'type' => 'inline',
'allowed' => 'tx_product_domain_model_docgroup',
'behaviour' => [
'allowLanguageSynchronization' => true,
'enableCascadingDelete' => true,
],
'foreign_table' => 'tx_product_domain_model_docgroup',
'MM' => 'tx_product_mm',
'MM_match_fields' => [
'tablenames' => 'tx_product_domain_model_docgroup',
'fieldname' => 'documentgroups',
'table_local' => $tableName,
],
'foreign_sortby' => 'sorting',
'minitems' => 0,
'maxitems' => 99,
]
],
enableCascadingDelete has no effect on MM related tables. In \TYPO3\CMS\Core\DataHandling\DataHandler->deleteRecord_procBasedOnFieldType the inline type is checked and only if it's of type field (foreign_field must be set in the TCA) or list (MM and foreign_field must not be set in TCA) child entries will be deleted.
I have a running TYPO3 installation (7.6) with with the latest realurl and news extension. All working fine. I now created a simple extension tx_ffscarexample and struggling to manipulate the paths for it. In tx_ffscarexample I have 'list, show, new, create, edit, update, delete' actions. Now, when first calling the page /car-example/ with the List View ... my path looks like:
List View
/car-example/
... I get all records showing in a table.
But already when I hover over the links I get like
/car-example/?tx_ffscarexample_carlist[car]=3&tx_ffscarexample_carlist[action]=show&tx_ffscarexample_carlist[controller]=Car&cHash=0b3f5b986dsdf95f33465e3d324e1e83a
When I then go into a detail view ... I get e.g.
Show View
/car-example/?tx_ffscarexample_carlist[car]=3&tx_ffscarexample_carlist[action]=show&tx_ffscarexample_carlist[controller]=Car&cHash=0b3f5b236dd5295f5f6234d324e1e83a
New View
/car-example/?tx_ffscarexample_carlist[action]=new&tx_ffscarexample_carlist[controller]=Car&cHash=4df2347378f318530423761f7627394a6
Edit View
/car-example/?tx_ffscarexample_carlist%5Bcar%5D=15&tx_ffscarexample_carlist%5Baction%5D=edit&tx_ffscarexample_carlist%5Bcontroller%5D=Car&cHash=72344542eaf1c64c12347dd3c7714
List View

In realurl_conf.php I've added for the extension:
...
'postVarSets' => array(
'_DEFAULT' => array(
'car' => array(
array(
'GETvar' => 'tx_ffscarexample_carlist[action]',
'valueMap' => array(
'list' => 'list',
'show' => 'show',
'new' => 'new',
'edit' => 'edit',
'create' => 'create',
'delete' => 'delete',
'update' => 'udpate'
),
'noMatch' => 'bypass'
),
array(
'GETvar' => 'tx_ffscarexample_carlist[controller]',
'valueMap' => array(
'car' => 'car',
),
'noMatch' => 'bypass'
),
array(
'GETvar' => 'tx_ffscarexample_carlist[car]',
'lookUpTable' => array(
'table' => 'tx_ffscarexample_domain_model_car',
'id_field' => 'uid',
'alias_field' => 'name',
'addWhereClause' => ' AND NOT deleted',

'transOrigPointerField' => 'l10n_parent',
'autoUpdate' => 1,
'expireDays' => 180,
)
)
),
),
)
...
What am I missing?
What I would like to have is sth like ...
/car-example/car/
/car-example/car/new
/car-example/car/audi/
/car-example/car/audi/edit/
/car-example/car/audi/delete/
/car-example/car/bmw/
/car-example/car/bmw/edit/
/car-example/car/bmw/delete/
Seems like here are similar issues:
typo3 7, bootstrap_package, RealUrl and own extension
Fixed it. What I did was:
I deactivated and removed the extension.
Deleted typo3temp and all realurl tables.
Cleared caches in InstallTool
Installed the extension again.
-> Now everything works as expected
*Please make copies of records and tables before removing them just in case.
It might be due to the installation order:
"The order you will install the extensions matters! Make sure the RealURL extension is installed first, then the bootstrap package and afterwards the rest of the extensions which contain RealURL rules including your new one." (Source: https://aimeos.org/tips/tag/realurl/ )
I am using TYPO3 7.6.11.
I wrote an provider extension to add some ts-code, templates, and viewhelpers.
After that, I wanted to add a custom data record (to use in the Backend).
I added the table in the ext_tables.sql.
I have a TCA-config under /[extension]/Configuration/TCA/tablename.php
I added
TYPO3\CMS\Core\Utility\ExtensionManagementUtility::allowTableOnStandardPages('tablename');
TYPO3\CMS\Core\Utility\ExtensionManagementUtility::addToInsertRecords('tablename');
to my ext_tables.php
Did I miss something?
I get a new record type under "System Records" in the List Module. I can add such an record, and the TCA-config seems to work fine for the record form.
But after saving, I have no record in the list view. The DB is looking fine. The record is saved correctly in my new table. What am I doing wrong?
Thanks

Since Typo3 7 it is possible to mask the list-view. This is configured via PageTSConfig, have a look at your info-Module (select the correct page in the page tree) and check the TSConfig there.
The configuration can be found in the following path:
mod.web_list.allowedNewTables
Check in ext_tables.php if you have everything needed for your new table : Typoscript inclusion, language file, exemple :
\TYPO3\CMS\Core\Utility\ExtensionManagementUtility::addStaticFile($_EXTKEY, 'Configuration/TypoScript', 'My TS configuration');
\TYPO3\CMS\Core\Utility\ExtensionManagementUtility::addLLrefForTCAdescr('tx_myext_domain_model_mytable', 'EXT:my_ext/Resources/Private/Language/locallang_csh_tx_myext_domain_model_mytable.xlf');
\TYPO3\CMS\Core\Utility\ExtensionManagementUtility::allowTableOnStandardPages('tx_myext_domain_model_mytable');
Are you sure the new records are stored in the current page : have a look at the TS "persistence.storagePid".
You can check in the database wich pid is used for your new records.

I have set up a small extension with the extension builder containing a few fields, one of which is the internal_type: 'file_reference'.
'dokument' => array(
'exclude' => 0,
'label' => 'LLL:EXT:publikationen/Resources/Private/Language/locallang_db.xlf:tx_publikationen_domain_model_publikation.dokument',
'config' => array(
'type' => 'group',
'internal_type' => 'file_reference',
//'uploadfolder' => 'uploads/tx_publikationen',
'allowed' => '*',
'disallowed' => 'php',
'size' => 5,
),
),
The field appears in the backend, but the Element browser is unable to show any files to select:
If I remove the "bparams" parameter from the URL shown above, it is able to see the files that are there.
How can this be brought to work?
FAL fields require complicated configuration. To make that easier, there is a function returning the TCA config for such a field.
Its usage for a field that allows only one file looks like this:
'dokument' => array(
'label' => 'LLL:EXT:publikationen/Resources/Private/Language/locallang_db.xlf:tx_publikationen_domain_model_publikation.dokument',
'exclude' => 0,
'config' => \TYPO3\CMS\Core\Utility\ExtensionManagementUtility::getFileFieldTCAConfig(
'dokument',
array(
'maxitems' => 1,
'minitems' => 1,
'appearance' => array(
'enabledControls' => array(
'dragdrop' => FALSE,
'localize' => FALSE,
),
),
)
),
),
A look into the source code of that function makes me not want to do that manually.
I have made in backend a TCA form, what will change depending of the value in select field "type":
This select field contains basically the options:
rte text
url
picture
I can make the system working so, that when "rte text" is chosen, it shows specified fields for "rte text", when url is chosen it shows specified fields for "url" etc..
In my case the content is always saved in database in field "content" and the selected type is saved in field "type".
My problem is that I have not found a way to change the "content" form field / configuration, depending on the selected type.
For example when I choose "rte text" it should use for the content field this kind of configuration (rich text editor):
'content' => array (
'exclude' => 0,
'label' => 'Content',
'config' => array (
'type' => 'text',
'cols' => '30',
'rows' => '5',
'wizards' => array(
'_PADDING' => 2,
'RTE' => array(
'notNewRecords' => 1,
'RTEonly' => 1,
'type' => 'script',
'title' => 'Full screen Rich Text Editing|Formatteret redigering i hele vinduet',
'icon' => 'wizard_rte2.gif',
'script' => 'wizard_rte.php',
),
),
)
),
and when I choose "picture" it should use for the content field this kind of configuration (file uploader):
'content' => array (
'exclude' => 0,
'label' => 'Content',
'config' => array (
'type' => 'group',
'internal_type' => 'file',
'allowed' => '',
'disallowed' => 'php,php3',
'max_size' => $GLOBALS['TYPO3_CONF_VARS']['BE']['maxFileSize'],
'uploadfolder' => 'uploads/tx_uploadshere',
'size' => 1,
'minitems' => 0,
'maxitems' => 1,
)
),
Is there a way to change that configuration depending of the value in the selectbox. I have tried to put two contents in an array but haven't got it working on that way.
Unfortunately you cannot change the properties of a single field via type.
You can however influence what's being displayed. So you can configure two independent fields and switch the display:
ext_tables.php:
$TCA['tx_yourextension_yourtable'] = array(
'ctrl' => array(
//...
'type'=>'type',
//...
),
);
TCA.php:
$TCA['tx_yourextension_yourtable'] = array(
'ctrl' => $TCA['tx_yourextension_yourtable']['ctrl'],
'types' => array(
0 => array('showitem' => 'content_rte'),
1 => array('showitem' => 'content_image'),
),
'columns' => array(
'content_rte' => array(
'exclude' => 0,
'label' => 'Content',
'config' => array(
'type' => 'text',
'cols' => '30',
'rows' => '5',
'wizards' => array(
'_PADDING' => 2,
'RTE' => array(
'notNewRecords' => 1,
'RTEonly' => 1,
'type' => 'script',
'title' => 'Full screen Rich Text Editing|Formatteret redigering i hele vinduet',
'icon' => 'wizard_rte2.gif',
'script' => 'wizard_rte.php',
),
),
)
),
'content_upload' => array(
'exclude' => 0,
'label' => 'Content',
'config' => array(
'type' => 'group',
'internal_type' => 'file',
'allowed' => '',
'disallowed' => 'php,php3',
'max_size' => $GLOBALS['TYPO3_CONF_VARS']['BE']['maxFileSize'],
'uploadfolder' => 'uploads/tx_uploadshere',
'size' => 1,
'minitems' => 0,
'maxitems' => 1,
)
),
),
// ...
);
(Note: I've removed system fields like hidden, sys_language_uid etc. for simplicity's sake)
