where i can find an available link to download Qt for eclipse because this one is not available anymore and all references from google are to that link.
Here is a very similar question: Is the Qt Eclipse integration plugin still available for download?
Short answer:
You should use QtCreator instead, because the Qt Eclipse integration is outdated
There's a link in that question's comments where you can still download the Qt Eclipse files

After the Google Plugin for Eclipse has been deprecated the options are to install Cloud Tools for Eclipse and/or the GWT Eclipse Plugin:
Developing Apps Script Projects in Eclipse
I have installed both as recommended in Eclipse Oxygen but now I couldn't find a way to import Apps Script Projects from Google Drive.
Is this still possible or has been removed as a possibility?
If it's possible is there any documentation on how to do it?
Don't use the plugin by Google.
Use the one from branflake instead : https://github.com/gwt-plugins/gwt-eclipse-plugin
On the github page there are links to excellent video tutorials of how to use this plugin : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DU7ZQVLR5Zo&list=PLBbgqtDgdc_TqzA-qXrjgTFMC_6DKAQyT
Installation is done by simply clicking the install button on the github page under the "Marketplace" header.
I have downloaded .tar.gz install file for C/C++ eclipse IDE.
Can it also be used for java or do I need additional ?
Yes it is, you should install the right plugin - JDT (look at Help->Install new Software)
Base on wiki link:
In computer programming, Eclipse is an integrated development
environment (IDE). It contains a base workspace and an extensible
plug-in system for customizing the environment.
That means Eclipse is just a platform, and you can install any plugins for eclipse. On Eclipse site, you see some packages such as Eclipse CDT Eclipse JDT ... Because they just want you to have a convenient environment for working: just download and run. You can download any versions, and install enough other plugins and they will works well. Here is some tutorials: official link and another nice link
But my recommendation is:
you don't know how "enough" is (as newbie). So the result will be hard because you don't choose enough packages for supporting your languages. And Eclipse Foundation has made it for you.
You shouldn't use many languages in same Eclipse distribution (although you can switch to other workspace easily). Many languages mean many installed packages, and this will slow down your eclipse so much because eclipse must loads more plugins into memory, loads more projects ... This is my experience. So, each language, each eclipse distribution, each workspace. That's a trick.
And answering directly to your question:YES. You can use that version for programming java, but will need to install JDT (Java Development Toolkit) plugin.
Hope this help :)
As per the JSystem documentation it's stated that the installer of JSystem has a little checkbox which install the eclipse plugin, but the screenshot on the manual it's for Windows XP(http://www.jsystemtest.org/sites/default/files/help/Chapter%203%20Getting%20Started%20with.htm#_Toc206753837) and right now I'm using ubuntu 12.04 with Eclipse Juno. I just installed JSystem here and can't find that little checkbox.
Also the documentation is sparse and short. Does anybody know how to install the JSystem plugin for Eclipse?
Thank you!
Actually, the Eclipse plugin is no longer part of the JSystem installation.
If you still want to use it, you can grab one of the older installation packages from SourceForge
(Version 5.7.02 would do the trick).
If are having problems with the Linux installation, you can install it on windows and copy manually the com.ignis.eclipse.plugin_5.7.02 jar from the jsystem/runner/Eclipse folder to the Eclipse plugins folder.
After restarting the Eclipse, you would be able to create a new JSystem project using the plugin.
One of the main reasons that the plugin is no longer provided and supported is that JSystem is now using Maven and most of the plugin functionality is now done via Maven archetypes.
To learn more about it please refer to the Getting started guide
I am trying to learn about eclipse plugin development.I downloaded Eclipse IDE for Java EE developers in Helios distribution. I am able to create plugin development project using plugin development wizard. Now the problem is am not able to view the source code of eclipse plugin dependencies.I searched the internet for source attachments, but didn't find it.Any help is appreciated..
If you just want to play around with plug-in development, then you really don't need to integrate the different IDE capabilities, and can probably live with separate Eclipse installations and workspaces.
Actually, the more capabilities/Eclipse editions, you try to integrate, the more limits you set up for other plug-ins/features/capabilities. At some point, it can get impossible to integrate 3rd party capabilities such as those from TaskTop and Atlassian...
If you don't need the Java EE capabilities, consider using either the classic
Eclipse edition or the RCP edition.
For Eclipse plugin development download Eclipse Classic distribution which includes SDK from here.
Eclipse IDE for Java EE description:
Tools for Java developers creating Java EE and Web applications, including a Java IDE, tools for Java EE, JPA, JSF, Mylyn and others.
Eclipse Classic description:
The classic Eclipse download: the Eclipse Platform, Java Development Tools, and Plug-in Development Environment, including source and both user and programmer documentation.
Cheers,
Max
Also, if you want to see the sourcecode of any plugin dependency, you can check it out from CVS at :pserver:anonymous#dev.eclipse.org:/cvsroot/eclipse
Be careful to get the right version, though.
Cheers,
Rob
Usually when one wants to create a new file in the Eclipse IDE , Java, Javascript, Colsdfusion PHP etc are provided as the options for the new files.
I recently downloaded Eclipse for Coldfusion 8 and excecuted the file "software/dw/java/europa/J2EE-SDK-Europa-33-win32.zip" .
Now when I want to create a New File "only JAVA " option is available. There is no coldfusion or HTML!
So can any one provide me the Exact/correct link for Codfusion related Eclipse?
(On the Eclipse website there are many Eclipse related downloads but I am not sure which one is specific for Coldfusion.)
There's CFEclipse, a free, open-source Eclipse plug-in for working with CFML. And of course there's Adobe's ColdFusion Builder, a commercial product that works as either a plug-in for an existing Eclipse installation, or as a full stand-alone product (with Eclipse already baked in).
CFEclipse 1.3.6, the current stable version, works with Eclipse 3.4.x or 3.5.x. Here's the CFEclipse wiki.
The stated Eclipse versions required for ColdFusion Builder are 3.4.2 or 3.5. Here's Adobe's requirements page.
If you're using one of these as a plug-in and you don't need a lot of the other Eclipse features, the J2EE version of Eclipse is probably overkill (it's the biggest package). You can try out a more minimal Eclipse install, then update and add plug-ins as you need them. Try the Eclipse Platform Binary, for example.
There's also Adobe's ColdFusion Builder IDE specially created for this purpose. It proposes some features not available in CFEclipse, but not free (though there's a trial version available).
In addition to Ken's answer please note that you can already use preview builds of CFEclipse with latest Eclipse 3.6 Helios. I am using this configuration on daily basis and it is pretty stable and more efficient than previous version for me.
If you will expierience problems with preview builds, feel free to post them into the CFEclipse groups, developers usually react pretty quickly.
One more hint for you. Sometimes after installing the plugin via Add Sofware further updates do not work correcly. I've experienced this issue few times so it can be useful to know the solution.
To fix this check the Preferences > Install/Update > Available Software Sites. If needed entry missing -- create it manually using the same update URL as for installation.
Also there's an Eclipse-based version of Adobe CF manual available, see this help page for details.
Hope this helps.
