i'm using
var btn = dom.byId("portAid");
btn.innerHTML=omsportAid;
btn.style.fontWeight = 'bold';
How to remove/hide the div(portAid)?
Possible duplicate:
Remove element by id
var element = document.getElementById("portAid");
element.parentNode.removeChild(element);
To remove it:
btn.style.display="none";
Or to simply hide it:
btn.style.visibility="hidden";
The difference is that with visibility: hidden the component will still take up space, but it will be invisible. Display:none removes the component and collapses the other components that surround it on the now empty space.

I'm working on using treeData, but was wondering if it is possible to hide the text next to the chevron.
For example, can I hide the letters from the column in this table, and just show the chevron? Maybe using cell renderer?
You can do that even without using cellRenderer.
Include below styles in your component declaration.
styles: [`
::ng-deep [class^='ag-row-group-indent-'] .ag-group-value {
display: none;
}
`]
Working plunk: Ag-Grid treeData: Possible to hide text next to chevron
Figured out an easy fix within the column def:
cellRendererParams: {
innerRenderer: () => ''
}
i'm using AG Grid Angular to create a log view, i will add a lot of entries per second to the grid, typically this type of view's has the newest entry at the bottom, so it would be great if there is a good way where the scrolling will stick at the bottom, so i can always see the latest entry. A bonus would be, if i can manually scroll up and the scrolling will stay at this position.
Here's one way to do it:
handle rowDataChanged in your markup:
<ag-grid-angular
class="ag-dark"
[rowData]="messages"
[columnDefs]="columnDefs"
[gridOptions]="gridOptions"
(bodyScroll)="handleScroll($event)"
(rowDataChanged)="handleRowDataChanged($event)">
</ag-grid-angular>
In the handler for rowDataChanged, call ensureVisibleIndex to scroll to the last row added:
gridOptions: GridOptions = {
suppressScrollOnNewData: true,
}
handleRowDataChanged(event) {
const index = this.messages.length - 1;
this.gridOptions.api.ensureIndexVisible(index, 'bottom');
}

In that code there is also some logic around when to keep the table scrolled to the end or not based on the scroll position.
I cannot find an example to do this anywhere, although I could have sworn I've seen one in the past.
I want to add a button to a node in fancytree so that either on hovering over that node (or maybe on selecting it) the button displays (a white x on a red circle, for example) and clicking it will delete/remove that node. At all other times the delete button should be hidden for the node.
I've been unable to find any kind of example where a custom link or button is added to a fancytree node though - maybe it's not possible to do or I'm just using the wrong search terms?
Edit: I found a way to add a clickable button by appending html to the title string:
title: component.name() + "<span class='deleteButton'><a href='#' data-bind='click: myfunction'><img src='../../Content/images/deleteIcon.png' /></a></span>",
And by adding some custom css to my site file:
span.fancytree-node span.deleteButton {
display: none;
}
span.fancytree-active span.deleteButton {
margin-left: 10px;
display: inline-block;
}
But this adds the button to the title text and is therefore subject to the highlighting of the title when active. It would be better if there was a way to add this to the node OUTSIDE of the title text. Is that possible Martin?
$("#tree").fancytree({
source: [...],
renderNode: function (event, data) {
var node = data.node;
var $nodeSpan = $(node.span);
// check if span of node already rendered
if (!$nodeSpan.data('rendered')) {
var deleteButton = $('<button type="button" class="btn">delete node</button>');
$nodeSpan.append(deleteButton);
deleteButton.hide();
$nodeSpan.hover(function () {
// mouse over
deleteButton.show();
}, function () {
// mouse out
deleteButton.hide();
})
// span rendered
$nodeSpan.data('rendered', true);
}
}
});
I normally use css ':after' for such cases (https://developer.mozilla.org/de/docs/Web/CSS/::after).
If that is not enough, you can always tweak the markup in the 'renderNode' event.
I have a div
<div class="blue>;
The class blue is:
.blue {
background-color: blue;
}
Now I know I can set the background color of the div in the console using:
$0.style.backgroundColor = "#ffcc00"
But what if I want to get the value of the background color for that element using the console?
It's possible you may want computed style:
var style = getComputedStyle(document.body, null); // Gets the style for a passed element and optional pseudo selecter (eg. :hover)
console.log(style.backgroundColor);
It's important to note that computed style is the rendered result. If you have multiple rules for the same element, this will only display the ones that have been applied.
You can do :
var blue = document.getElementsByClassName('blue')[0];
blue.style.getPropertyCSSValue('background-color');
or you do:
blue.style.getPropertyValue('background-color');
I need to place several DatePicker widgets into the row. If there is not enough width to place all of them the rest widgets shift to the next row. It is the default HTML layout behavior. So I am trying to use FlowPanel. With any other widgets (Buttons, Labels, ...) everything ok, but DatePickers are placed one widget to the row. Here's the code
FlowPanel panel = new FlowPanel();
DatePicker picker1 = new DatePicker();
DatePicker picker2 = new DatePicker();
panel.add(picker1);
panel.add(picker2);
RootPanel.get().add(panel);
Any suggestions to solve this problem?
Thanks.
DatePicker's root element is a table so you'd have to give it a display: inline-table style, or put it in an element with display: inline-block style.
The following shouldn't break any other use of DatePicker, but won't work in IE 6 or 7; it's the Simplest Thing That Could Possibly Workâ˘:
.gwt-DatePicker { display: inline-table; }
If you really need IE 6/7 support, you could try the following, in a CssResource:
#if user.agent ie6 {
.gwt-DatePicker { display: inline; }
}
#else {
.gwt-DatePicker { display: inline-table; }
}
