(sorry if my question is not in the right place)
I'm creating a website where people can login to my website with thier facebook accounts! They join my website because they want to get new facebook friends. the members of my website all want new friends requests. and everyone of them can add the link to his facebook profile so other members can add him as a friens. by clicking the "Add friend" button in front of every member's profile ON MY WEBSITE a friend request is sent to the owner of that profile!
My clear question is: is it possible to make that Add Friend button appear on my website in front of every profile??
Thanks fro the answers
Afaik you cannot send Friend Request with the Facebook API, and there is no Social Plugin for this either. The possibility was removed with v2.0: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/dialogs/friends/v2.0
This was removed as of Graph API version 2.0

So in my app I display some Facebook posts from a predefined page. I get the posts from my server (the server gets them from Facebook directly) and this way I avoid using the Facebook SDK.
For each post, I have both the id and the URL and whenever a user presses on a post I open the Facebook app on that given post.
Now I'd like to add the possibility for users to share these posts to their profile pages, but when a user opens a post (on the Facebook app) it doesn't appear any option to share it (only like and comment). Other option would be to use the standard android sharing feature (ACTION_SEND), but whenever I share a post's URL this way the app only shares a picture from that post, not the actual post.
Any help would be much appreciated,
Regards
There is currently no way to mimic the "share" behavior that exists on the facebook.com website using graph API. The closest thing would be to use the link field that you mentioned.
Is it possible to post a comment on users facebook wall after submitting a button on my website?
On my web page users can review certain products and after they review them the press on ‘submit review’ button. I want to make the review report to be published on the user’s facebook feed.
Thanks in advance,
For a normal post, you can use the Feed dialog – this does not require that the user connect to your app first.
If you want to post via API in the background, then you have to have the user login to your app first.
If you do not want a normal post, then look into Open Graph actions: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/concepts/opengraph/
I have a reviews website where I want to integrate Facebook social plugins. I initially thought of integrating facebook comment plugin where users can write their reviews for the products I have listed on my site. But that seemed like laying waste to my own review functionality.
Here's the flow I came up with:
create a facebook app for the website
Users write a review and post it to their facebook profile
When some action happens on the review like when it is voted up or replied to, the user who posted the review to facebook gets notified via the facebook notification center
I fetch the likes, replies on facebook post and display them on my website on the review
Is it possible to implement this workflow? I basically want to send notifications to user from inside my website not from the facebook application I created.
This is possible using apprequests. One requirement for this to work is your website and facebook canvas app must be registered under the same 'app' (ie have the same appID) and be under the same base domain.
I am trying to achieve this but i dont know what i should use. I looked here first
If a new user registers to the site and non of their friends have registered when they click on a add friend button
Find friends via Facebook
Post To F/B Wall (Message "Hey all i am really enjoying this site, come visit.")
The plugin is basically an optional shout, if you want more versatility you should make your own calls on the Graph API yourself, allowing you to find out more details about the user and their friends.
With the many programming tools from FaceBook, like FaceBook connect, graph api, etc...
Is there a way to create a form on a website that does this:
I. Website visitor logs into FaceBook (from my website)
II. Form changes. Website visitor is presented with button:
"Invite FaceBook Friends to Like Our FaceBook Page"
III. Form changes to new interface. User is able to view his friends, choose specific friends and suggest FaceBook page to them. User clicks submit button.
IV. FaceBook page is suggested to friends. Data is sent to custom website application/DB to track the FaceBook info of the person who made the suggestion(s).
The whole point of this is that we want to offer a people who refer their FaceBook friends to our FaceBook page some sort of incentive (free product) and we need a way to encourage & track that.
You can refer to this for login with Facebook and knowing whether the user is connected or not: http://developers.facebook.com/docs/guides/web#login
To present the user with an "invite friends" type of interface refer to http://fbrell.com/xfbml/fb:server-fbml-multi-friend-selector
You will notice that the <fb:request-form/> tag takes a content attribute that contains a <fb:req-choice/> tag. This tag contains the url where people accepting the invitation will be directed. You can use this url to refer the person who sent the invitation. By adding a query parameter with it's Facebook id for example.
