IBM data studio not connecting to local DB2 databases - db2

I have installed DB2 10.5 version on my local Ubuntu 12.04 Machine. Now i need a GUI. I already tried squirrel-sql & Db-Visualizer. While Db-Visualizer give me the view-only database structure, squirrel-sql give me some more options to manage. But now I need a DB2 administrator tool, which can handle all this tasks plus backup/restore, import/export etc.
I have listen a lot for IBM Data Studio as de-facto tool for DB2. So I installed it. After install completion, I am unable connect to my DB2 databases/schemas. It is surprise As I am easily can connect my Dbs through squirrel-sql & Db-Visualizer but IBM Data Studio refuse to connect. It give following errors during try.
Full message content: [jcc][t4][2043][11550][4.17.30] Exception java.net.SocketException: Error opening socket to server localhost/127.0.0.1 on port 50,000 with message: Malformed reply from SOCKS server.

Ensure that the specified database name exists in the system database directory. If the database name does not exist in the system database directory, either the database does not exist or the database name has not been cataloged. If needed, issue a db2start command and then resubmit the current command. SQL4499N A fatal error occurred that resulted in a disconnect from the data source. SQLSTATE: 08004
I have specified,
Local : Db2 for Linux, Unix & Windows
Database : <mydbname>
Host : localhost
Port Number : 50000
UserName : db2inst1
Password : XXXXXX
Default Schema : db2inst1
Anybody can suggest if extra steps needed to connect.
UPDATE : Pastebin Link for Stack Trace : http://pastebin.com/ySmrFKNV
UPDATE 1 : Search online for DB2 forums for same problem, Somebody suggested to check system proxy settings. So yes, My system have proxy settings enabled. But even after set proxy to NONE in Netwrok Settings in Ubuntu, problem still persists.
UPDATE 2 : Issue resolved after reinstallation of Data Studio. No idea what problem came, But now it working with same settings.

Not really a answer. But issue resolved after re-installation of Data Studio. No idea what problem came, But now it working with same settings.

Mongosqld runs fine, but ODBC fails on test and PowerBI throws error 10060. Connector not working. Windows to two seperate RHEL Servers

The Goal
I need to get data from a MongoDB updated every 15 minutes to use to build into a PowerBI report.
The Gear
I am connected from my windows machine via ssh to an RHEL server (server a). This server is running powerbi connector (SQLD) which is connected to my MongoDB that is running on a different server (server b). I'm also running MySQL on server b. My powerBI connector is installed on server b.
Exactly where I'm at
I am using the steps listed here (and all the associated pages) and have tried everything listed short of writing a config file, as the fact that things are working on mongosqld's end makes me think I don't need it... and if I can't get it working manually, having a config file won't exactly help.
https://docs.mongodb.com/bi-connector/current/connect/powerbi/
Using:
mongosqld --mongo-uri="mongodb://10.xxx.xxx.xx" --auth --mongo-username="ThisGuy" --mongo-password="test"
I successfully map the schema and show an active connection in the command window. I can also access my database from compass using an authorization enabled URL.
When I set up an ODBC connector I use the IP of server a, the user and password from my url, and port 3307. Nothing shows up in the dropdown, when I click 'test' I get the following message:
Connection Failed
[MongoDB][ODBC 1.4(w) Driver]Can't connect to MySQL server4 on '10.xxx.xxx.xxx' (10060)
I have also tried 3306, 27017, and 27015. Just to be safe I also added firewall rules for all traffic on these ports. I've tried this many times, including (just for the hell of it, and I'm kind of new to this stuff) the ip of server b, the ip of my machine, the credentials for MySQL, basically any combination of these things that I can think of.
In powerBI, my odbc driver shows up, and when selected in the dropdown, it asks for a username and password. I have tried both mongo credentials and MySQL. Not sure which I should be using?
regardless, I get the following error inside PowerBI:
Details: "ODBC: ERROR [HY000] [MySQL][ODBC 1.4(w) Driver]Can't connect to MySQL server on '10.xxx.xxx.xxx' (10061)
ERROR [HY000] [MySQL][ODBC 1.4(w) Driver]Can't connect to MySQL server on '10.xxx.xxx.xxx' (10061)"
Thoughts
I don't control either server, although I have root access, being new to this tech and company I am wary of screwing anything up that a co-worker will have to fix. I read in a different SO thread that maybe I need to downgrade the version of MySQL that is running on the server and that it could fix the problem, but I don't think that it will actually help and am afraid I might screw up something else on the server if I do this:
The C Authentication plugin was developed against MySQL 5.7.18 Community Edition (64-bit), and tested with MySQL 5.7.18 Community Edition and the latest version of MongoDB Connector for BI. The plugin is not compatible with MySQL Server or Connector/ODBC driver version 8 and later.
https://dba.stackexchange.com/questions/219550/access-denied-when-connecting-to-mongosqld-with-mysql
Maybe the problem is that server B is listening to server a on port 3307, and that there is another unknown port (not mentioned above) that my ODBC driver must be listening to? I'm not sure how to test for this when you get a step away like this.
So that's it. I'm really stuck and would love some help, I am going to try the downgrade tomorrow if nothing else shakes loose and will keep this thread updated.

Connect Postman to Postgres

There is a problem.
I need to access Postgres Database from Postman. Database isn't local, it is on a server, but I have full connection string (host, db_name, user_name/password, scheme).
Any chances to do it?
I tried PostgREST, but I can't install it. I have LIBPQ.dll is not found error. I installed it but it was no help, I still have 0xc00007b error.
So that I can't install PostgREST.
Should I install it on the server where DB is located?
And is there any other way?
update: I managed to overcome all the errors (here is the note how to overcome 0xc00007b error: https://postgrest.org/en/stable/install.html).
Now I can call postgrest from cmd with the flag --help, but it's still not connected to the database.
update2: I managed the connection by putting postgrest.conf filled file in the same directory as postgrest.exe file and running in from cmd.
search for app and browser control in start menu, then select exploitation control :
set randomize image ASLR to off

SQL Developer missing a library

I'm fairly new to Oracle SQL developer. As I'm trying to make a new connection via TNS, I'm getting this error down below which I've been looking to solve for a while fruitlessly.
Error Message:
Statut : échec -Echec du test : no ocijdbc18 in java.library.path
Assuming MySQL is a typo (You are using port 1521, which is the default port for Oracle database, also its giving you ODBC error, so I assume its an Oracle database. Remember that you can connect SQL developer to a MySQL database, so please clarify if you want to connect to a MySQL database rather than Oracle) your problem is due to lack of Oracle Data Base Connector driver (ODBC). From this link download the latest version of Oracle Instant client and install it on your machine. Then define ORACLE_HOME to the path of Instant client installation (To the actual installation folder, the one that contains folders like bin, network and so on) and restart SQL Developer, then you should be good to go.
P.S. : as #thatjeffsmith has mentioned correctly in the comments, it's not necessary to have Oracle Client and/or ODBC (or similar) drivers in order to connect to an Oracle database. Using basic as the connection type and adding the correct connection info would suffice. This Article in Oracle Magazine has extensively talked about the different connection types.

Postgresql and ssl start up error

I am new to freenode and postgresql. I am trying to migrate from mysql to postgresql. Currently trying to set up server for ssl. Have created my server certs and configured the .conf files for ssl according to the manual as far as I can see. Trying to restart postgre sql service fails. Windows event log gives me an event ID of 0 and says
pg_ctrl could not start server examine the log output.
I can't find any log detailing the failure to start in the postgresql folders.
I have tried to register the pgevent.dll as advised by the postgresql manual (18.11 of most recent version), but I get an error message
The module "C:postgreSQL\pg10\lib\postgresql\pgevent.dll" was loaded but the entry-point DllRegisterServer was not found
I believe that means it is either not a registrable dll or it's corrupt.
Can anyone please advise how I can track on Windows the error that is causing Postgre to fail to start?

db2fs shows exception TypeError: netscape.security.PrivilegeManager is undefined

After successfully installing IBM DB2 Express V10.5_01 on an Ubuntu 14.04 LTS machine I tried to follow the next step and start
db2fs
in an X-Windows session. I am asked to create a profile for firefox and a browser window comes up with an error message dialog showing
exception TypeError: netscape.security.PrivilegeManager is undefined
When pressing ok for a few times the "create sample database" button disappears and instead a warning appears:
First Steps was unable to connect to the online DB2 Information Center and could not find an instance of a locally installed DB2 Information Center for this version of the product. To access product information, one of the following types of connections to a DB2 Information Center is required:
Internet access to the online DB2 Information Center
A locally installed version of the DB2 Information Center
Access to a remotely configured DB2 Information Center
As a workaround I tried to use
db2sampl
after adding my user to the groups dasadm1 db2iadm1 and db2fadm1 that had been created by the installation procedure.
db2sampl -force
Creating database "SAMPLE"...
Existing "SAMPLE" database found...
Dropping and recreating database "SAMPLE"...

db2 list db directory
shows:

unfortunately
db2cc
is not available anymore as an admin tool in V10.5 see DB2 Express V10.1 and db2cc binary and before downloading
IBM Data Studio I'd first like to check the basic integrity of my installation.
db2help
e.g. gives the errormessage
/bin/sh: 0: Illegal option -p
In all I have the feeling that Ubuntu 14.04 LTS is not a properyly supported platform for IBM DB2 Express V10.5_01.
How feasible is it to get IBM DB2 Express V10.5_01 running in this environment?
