I am trying to get interest from Facebook Api but empty array is returned.

In "Graph API Reference" (developers.facebook.com/docs/graph-api/reference/v2.1) is defined a full list of nodes. If I click in 'user' and click in 'interest' I am redirected to "/{user-id}/interests" (//developers.facebook.com/docs/graph-api/reference/v2.1/user/interests) description. In this description are defined serveral points:
Endpoint: GET /user/interests
Permission: user_interests
Descrption: The interests listed on someone's profile under "Likes > Interests" (//www.facebook.com/me/likes_interests).
I am using Graph API Explorer for to test. I have used all api versions (from unversioned to v2.1).
If I get a valid access token with aproppiated permission and I do a request to endpoint "/me" I have a successfully response with data.
If I do a request to endpoint "/me/interests" I have a empty response:

My user in Facebook is following a list of interest for example: stackoverflow group.
If I do a request to movies or books the response are empty too. But if I do a "like action" in a book or movie and try again I have a successfull response. If I try again with "/me/interest" response is empty yet.
I believe that I do not understand concept of "interest" or something is wrong and I can not see it.
Which is the way for to recovery the interests of an user?
The interests are specified in the Profile section, and not via Like actions! The list you linked is not an interest either.
Books and Movies can be requested with the user_likes permission, so if you didn't request that the response will be empty as well.

I would like to find the id (app-scoped) for someone who has posted a comment on a public page.
For example, I get a list of recent posts/comments on the NY Times page via:

I have tried using the Facebook Graph API Explorer, using both my User Token, as well as an App Token.
Since v2.11 of the Graph API, you need a Page Token to get user data of comments: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/graph-api/changelog/version2.11#gapi-90
User information will not be included in GET responses for any objects owned by (on) a Page unless the request is made with a Page access token. This affects all nodes and edges that return data for objects owned by a Page.
In other words: You can only get user information if you manage the Page.
Edit: Since the latests update in the Graph API, you have to get the App reviewed and you must go through Business Verification or Individual Verification. (thanx #Guiman04)
Please check whether you are using the accessToken for the page you are trying to get data from, i had same issue, and was resolved by using the correct accessToken for the page.
This request returns an empty array: graph.facebook.com/773227196065108/likes, but this request returns a normal array: graph.facebook.com/576234822476425/likes.

since its a user post and probably not public, you will have to access it using a proper access token on behalf of the user . also the number of likes obtained via graph api is dependant on the the privacy settings of people who liked the post .
the second post is one from a page and is public, so its directly accessible for you .
773227196065108 is a user whereas 576234822476425 is a page. Public page posts can be inspected in the API, public user posts have certain restrictions applied to them such as, the queried user must be using the application as well. If the queried user isn't using the querying application the response will be empty.
In addition /me/likes/773227196065108 will not work as /me/likes are only for pages not posts.
Long time lurker first time poster...
We are working with Facebooks API's to integrate into our web application and we are able to pull a Companies Page Rating via the {open_graph_story} parameter in the {page-id}/ratings section, however we cannot find a way to comment/reply to the rating. The documentation states:
"If a person has rated your page and a story has been generated, you can follow up with the person by posting to the story's comment node." (https://developers.facebook.com/docs/graph-api/reference/v2.0/page/ratings)
however when we pull the variables we retrieve no ID to reference for a comment. This is what we receive back from our authenticated account:

When you have some ratings/review comments on your page and if you want to post comment to individual review comments as the Page Owner, you can follow the steps below.
1) Below request returns the json object of rating and reviews.

The response json will contain ID field for each and every rating/review comments.
2) Using the ID, trigger the below request to post a comment on the rating as the Page Owner. You will need Page access token with manage_pages and publish_pages privilege.

These requests can be tested using Facebook Graph API Explorer
You need to request the open_graph_story field with the ratings endpoint. This will return the open_graph_story data which includes an id. You can then post to the comments endpoint of this story.
You have to make http get request on
https://graph.facebook.com/v2.9/{PageID}/ratings?fields=open_graph_story&access_token={PageAccessToken}
to get detailed response.
Make sure the parameter is "fields" not "field"

So this part seems OK.
On my application I do the following to try to post somenthing on my timeline (I need to post it when I am off line).

So I tried to add client_id=APPID and app_id=APPID, I tried to put one, the other and also both arguments as GET or POST but nothing changed.
I checked the APPId ad it is correct.

You cant simply generate a user access_token by querying to a URL. What you did gives the App access token and as the error say, you are trying to do something, that needs user access_token.

And use that access_token for the rest of the processes.
I'm currently working on a facebook app which captures wall posts for a specified user, page or group, after a user has authorized the app I quote the access_token that is returned to call the method

this works fine for pages and groups as we only need a valid token, however for users the results are different depending on the relationship between the user who authorized the app the user whose posts are being captured.
For example if there is no relationship between the two users some posts are not returned even though they are public and displayed when you view the profile of the user, however if they are friends more posts are returned.
Can someone please explain this behaviour? And is it possible to obtain all posts using this method?
Yes, per the permissions listed at https://developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/api/permissions the results of the call are different depending upon the relationship.
However when things are public and you use an access token that doesn't belong to the user, then no results are returned. I cannot remember a time when this wasn't this way. For some odd reason (by design or omission on Facebook's part) using the graph API to get at public posts using a user access token just doesn't want to work.

So as you can see, it's difficult to get things via the graph that are not in alignment with your access token.
I manage to get most of the feeds from user's wall post. Although this is a old post, I hope someone can manage to get what they want from my answer.
Before getting the access token(to get the feeds), you need to add multiple correct Read Permissions "keys".
For example, you will have to add "read_stream", and "user_status" (which I found that these are the most important permission "key" to generate the correct access token, to retrieve one's so-called "public" feeds).
You can add more into generating the access token, in either you want the permission to GET, or POST, or BOTH.

One thing that I found is, the way to get the feeds result from user's "Home/About" page and Facebook Page (which is created for people to like (not add friends)) are different. The key is mentioned above, "read_stream", and "user_status". So it's better that you add both of the permissions in order to generate the access token to get everything in feeds.
Graph API doesn't return posts to the App if is not authorized to read user feed, even if posts are public.

It is working now but facebook may change it in future.
