I have a splitapp application with two cols.
On the left I have a tree that i can navigate level by level.
I want indicate to user the current position in the menu tree by a path.. now I use this trick: insert a button to show the current path
but i don't like this solution. Any suggestions?
P.S. The path could also be very long and I can't see it in the detail page because the content of the detail page could not always sync with the master page.
This really sounds like a breadcrumb. If the path becomes too long you could limit it to show the two latest dives within the object hierachy which would be like ... > Product A > Info D. The individual links can be used for back navigation. From technical perspective the path can be obtained from the binding context.

My requirement is as the title. Basically there are three parts: Search Page, Master Page and Detail Page.
I want to include all of these pages into one page and make them navigable. I considered Splitter layout but it could loose the navigation?
Any ideas??

I think this is a common requirement. I would suggest a full-screen layout, having a search bar and a result list on the landing/first page. From there, when a list item is clicked upon, you can navigate to the detail page.
I'm creating a web-site using GWT for the first time. The aplication has two Composite class, one of them is a menu and the other one is where I show de info about the specific menu that has been clicked. I'm using MVP, the class History and the interface ChangeValueHandler to switch among different pages.
I have one pair presenter-view for each Composite. The app begins well creating the menu and the section info. When you click in the menu it works fine showing the information and the token browser is changed. The thing is that if you load a page(eg: myapp.com#register) without loading the home page, it doesn't show you the menu. It loads the Composite section info, but not the Composite menu (the Composite menu is load with myapp.com#home).
I think it's because of a bad design of the application, but I don't know how to do that in other way. If the app only had one Composite it wouldn't be a problem, but when there are 2 or more Composite per page I don't know how to manage the whole thing to work properly.
It's difficult to tell what exactly is wrong, because of the lack of code. So I'm guessing. You should design to act on the PlaceChangeEvent instead of the ValueChangeEvent. That means a menu click should fire the place change and then the application will handle this event. That way you unbind the menu actions from your content pages. And think more of each page as a separate entity. Also take a look at the GWT Activity mechanism and how it helps having a main page that is always the same and on that main page a content area that changes depending on the page actually shown.
You should include your menu in each page instead of creating it once in the home page and then keeping it on screen. I assume you create the menu and add it to the DOM via
RootPanel.get().add(myMenuWidget);
If you are using UIBinder it should be pretty straightforward to include the menu in each page, just a matter of adding the corresponding tag in each .ui.xml file of your pages.
I'm trying to build some sort of visual workflow in JavaFX. I want my application to have one main screen with the next and previous buttons, something like an installer. When a user clicks next, all the elements of the next screen appear in the same element. All previous choices of the user have to be saved. So when a user clicks on the previous button that all of his choices are still there.
How would I go on to do this?
I found these links on Google, but they don't seem to help me. Something like this is a bit the direction that I want to go, but the code in this tutorial isnt't really that good for scene's with a lot of elements.
The DataFX Framework provides a Flow API that can be used to define workflows. By doing so you can simply navigate between MVC Groups by only using annotations or configurations. You can find some examples of the API here:

I haven't worked with JavaFX in a while, but I'll start by saying I really hope you are using the JavaFX scene builder.
The way I would do it off the top of my head without going back and relearning JavaFX is to create a main window in the scene builder, and have a sort of central content display area, which holds another custom JavaFX container that contains the content you want to display, of which you can then create several of and swap out which one is being displayed programmatically.
Basically, create several smaller components representing each step or screen and display them programmatically in an owning container.
I am building a jscript-based Windows 8 Metro app. The main screen of this application is a scrolling "panorama" view with several list views showing various aspects of the app's state. In some cases the user will select something on the page which results in a navigation to another page (using the WinJS.Navigation.navigate method.
When the user hits the back arrow on the other page, it returns to the main screen, and I use "scrollIntoView" on to position the screen to the section that the user was working on before the navigation occurred.
Unfortunately this hardly ever results in correctly positioning the view. It seems random. I suspect that the page isn't finished being built yet and that the scroll values are set based on the state at some snapshot in time.
Now the question:
Is there some what to be notified by WinJS ListView objects that they are completely rendered and layed out? Or is this the job of the page's ready function?

Putting multiple list views side by side is Not A Good Idea(TM). I would recommend putting one list view, and placing your content in a grouped data source to get the groups. If the items have different templates, then you can use a custom item Template selector to dynamically select a template.
Additionally, to ensure that the list view is scrolled to the right position, you need to use the indexOfFirstVisible to set the items the name suggests.
I have a dojo layout that creates a sidebar on the left with a list of pages and a center area which is a tab container.
When a user double clicks a page in the sidebar, it creates a new closable tab in the center with a form to edit that page (the form is loaded via the href attribute on the ContentPanes, it's a standard Zend Framework request). However, if I open two or more pages, it creates all the elements and form controls with the same dijit IDs which creates conflicts. (This is expected I guess)
Aside from manually appending the current page ID to every element/dijit on the tab contents, does anyone know of a cleaner way for me to do this? Will this be an issue with the form element name attributes still being the same?
I guess the other approach is to not put id's on any of your widgets.
