can you explain me this button in my typo3 backend-page-tree:
It looks like a forward-button. How can I make it disappear in the page-settings?
Thank you,
Chris
It appears when at Access tab in page properties you will check Extend to Subpages checkbox.

I need to add button on TYPO3 backend list view (here for example):
Purpose of this button is similar to hidden button, I want to change flag Top News from 1 to 0 and from 0 to 1.
I have no idea where to start, I found how hidden button working but I have no clue how to add own button and work with it. If possible, please add any links to extension, which have solution for that problem, or code which solved that or anything else will be great.
Thanks!
You could use the $GLOBALS['TYPO3_CONF_VARS']['SC_OPTIONS']['typo3/class.db_list_extra.inc']['actions']hook.
This way I added a custom toggle button and controlled the display of other buttons via TypoScript.
I am pretty new in Typo3 world (I came from Joomla and WordPress) and I have a doubt related to well understand what is the difference between disable a page and hide the page in the menu in Typo3.
I have create a new test page and I don't want that now it appears in my left main menu.
So I click on the Access tab of this page settings and I tick the Hide (In Menus) "checkbox" so the page exist (I can access and see it using its URL) but don't appear in my main menu.
This is pretty simple but, near to the previous options, I also find the Disable (Page) checkbox. So I have try to tick this checkbox (instead of Hide (In Menus)) and happens something that I did not expect:
My test page appear again in my left main menu (I have no hide it but if I thought that if I disable a page, it is as if this page does not exist, evidently the typo3 operating logic is different from what I expect)
If, in my left main menu, I click on my test page link: the page is open but on the right top corner on the page appear to me the following textual message PREVIEW!
What it mean? I am logged as administrator, maybe the normal visitor can't see the disabled pages whereas administrator\editor see these pages? Or what?
Tnx
Andrea
Disable page = Nobody can see the page. The page is removed from the menu and it can't be accessed with the URL. You see it because you're logged into the backend. That is also why you see the red sticker 'Preview', because it is a preview.
Hide in menu = Page is hidden from the menu and the sitemap, however, it can be accessed with the URL.
Check the following documentation:
http://docs.typo3.org/typo3cms/GettingStartedTutorial/
There is a very short mapping between TYPO3 and Joomla:
TYPO3 "disable" = Joomla "Unpublish Article"
TYPO3 "hide" = Joomla "Unpublish Menu Item"

I would like the popout to go to the left instead of the right if possible, as it's sometimes hidden by other UI elements.
No. Since it's a social plugin, the only styling you can change is what you see on the plugin configuration page.
In my application, I am using UIWebview to display some url say "Google". The problem is that, it is displaying the web page correctly but the links present on that page are not working.
Say if on Google page I click on map or gmail, then nothing happens. I know, I am missing some minor things, still need help from you.
Check in Interface Builder your .xib with UIWebView, in Attributes Inspector (4th tab of the right panel) in section Web View Detection Links checkbox. It must be checked on in order to make links work.
You also want to make sure that "User interactions Enabled" (in the View section of the attributes tab) is checked.
Make sure your link is constructed exactly like this:
Google
It should just "work".
I would like to create a new page in Elgg where I can put my own content. I would like to have there all the default menus, etc. but with empty space where I can put my code. I would like to have a link to this page on my profile page. Should it be done as a new plugin? If yes, how to create empty page with my current template settings?
Check this out:
