I'm trying to make fade in and fade out animation for popup element in WinRT application (for windows 8.1).
I tried with this: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms752079(v=vs.110).aspx
but I can't set this to my popup:
AllowsTransparency="True"
PopupAnimation="Slide"
Is there a way to do it in WinRT?
You can apply Transitions and ChildTransitions for Popup in WinRT. There are several Transitions available like PopupThemeTransition, ContentThemeTransition etc. You can refer similar answer in following link,
How to animate a Popup when it hides?

I'm implementing a screenshotting app that captures a portion of the screen. I'm currently:
listening for a keyboard shortcut
drawing a transparent view on top of the entire screen
having the user click and drag to select an area inside of that view
screenshotting the coordinates inside of that bounding area.
Here's an example of what it looks like (the transparent view is tinted blue):
This works, but it causes the mouse to stop focusing on whatever it was previously focusing on. In other words, if I'm hovering over a tooltip and I hit the screenshot shortcut, the tooltip vanishes before I have a chance to screenshot it.
It looks like macOS's own screenshot command does not have this problem. If I hover over a date in StackOverflow in order to see the time tooltip, I can press Cmd+Shift+4 and screenshot it pretty easily:
If I try and do the same thing with my own code, the tooltip vanishes after I render my transparent view, even if I haven't moved my mouse.
Is Apple doing something specific to maintain the focus state of the mouse that I could be doing? Alternatively, should I somehow take advantage of Apple's own screenshotting flow myself inside of this app? If it helps, I'm currently using CGWindowListCreateImage to actually take the screenshot.
So i have been trying to create a pause menu for my project, however the resume button is un-clickable (the same i believe for another button on this menu). The event system does not show anything when hovering over this button or attempting to click it.
Screenshot of Event System not showing button object
The button itself is set to interact-able and has the button's image as it's target graphic. The canvas it is also placed on also has the Graphic Ray-caster component attached. I also do not believe that there is any UI object covering the button preventing it from being clicked.Screenshot of Pause Menu UI as seen from scene view to show no blocking objects I am making use of the first person character controller starter asset by unity as well as the new input system.
I am unsure as to what could be causing this, I have also tried locking the cursor of the starter asset inputs.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Is it possible to edit a group of animation transitions at once? When I select several animation transitions (as in the screenshot below) and change some properties in the Inspector (such as Transition Duration), the changes don't seem to take effect. The properties look like they change, but when I click elsewhere in the Editor and then click back on the transition, the property still has its old value.
No. Multi-editing for animation transitions isn't supported.

I've just started on a new project of my own.
What I would like to do is, on large screens, having a button activating a modal window BUT, on smaller screen (mobiles), I would like that modal window to become an off canvas section and when the button is clicked, the off canvas slides in from the side. Within that modal/off canvas part, there will be a form to fill out. (there will actually be multiple buttons that will need to activate the feature. Think something like multiple thumbnails with each a button to let viewers add comments)
I'm using Bootstrap 3 as my base framework. I would like to minimise the javascript (jQuery) functionalities but I understand I can't completely.
Questions I have,
do I have to create two HTML sections, one for the modal and one for the off canvas and then programatically hide/show according screen size?
Would it be best to create the form and then thru javascript, add the proper HTML around it according screen size? (though I think this option would be a tough to implement as my javascript skills are "advance beginner" at best)
How would I make the same button switch activation of the modal window or the off canvas form?
It seems to me that I need to detect screen size, no matter how I do the above, what would be the best way to detect the screen size, the safest and surest way?
Thanks for any insights you guys might have on this.
You will have to show code in your questions here, so i also vote to close your question.

Angular JS decouples Twitter's Bootstrap from javascript. See: http://angular-ui.github.io/bootstrap/

Take a look to the Responsive Utilities: http://getbootstrap.com/css/#responsive-utilities
The screen detection of Twitter's Bootstrap is based on CSS media queries.

To give the same button different function based on sceensize you will need javascript / jQuery. See: Get the size of the screen, current web page and browser window you also could consider to use something like enquire.js, see also http://bassjobsen.weblogs.fm/responsive-banner-ads-2/
Or create two buttons and hide / show them with the the Responsive Utilities.
I can not solve my problem. As example, my website : www.mananaseguro.com.
In the home page, I have some popup appearing just under movies's poster (when the mouse is over the poster). But when I scroll UP (for example), the popup will not appear just under the poster. Their is a space between them. I tried to add the popup to the home's page panel but it did not succeed.
So is it possible to simulate the good popup behavior? (the popup must stay under the poster).
Or more precisely, is it possible to attach a DecoratedPopupPanel to another panel inside the page in order to have the popup scrolling in the same way that others elements?
Try using the PopupPanel#showRelativeTo() method.
You can achive good popup behavior by using below property.
popup.setPopupPosition(left, top)
Pass movie image x and y index position in top and left. and make consistent look and fill.
