#NAME? error after opening spreadsheet with macro - macros

I created and saved a spreadsheet that uses a macro for an interpolation task. When I open the document again all the cells calling the function are shown as #NAME? although the document still seems to contain the macro: When I open Tools | Macros | Organize Macros... | LibreOffice Basic Macros | (the document) | util | Module1 and click 'Edit' I can edit the source code as before.
Does anybody know what's wrong? How can I recover my file?
I switched the security setting to 'Low (not recommended)', just be be sure, but only after having created and saved the file.

In libreoffice or openoffice basic it is not possible to run a user defined function, which is stored in a library except the Standard libraries, as formula in a cell. Although it is possible to have functions stored in libraries, the UDFs have to be in the Standard libraries. They (the UDFs) then of course can call functions in libraries if those libraries are loaded.
The UDF can be called in a cell as =UDF(). The UDF2 can also be called in a cell as =UDF2(). It then loads the library "util", if it is not already loaded yet, and returns the result of utilUDF().

I had the same problem with a macro defined with Sub Foo. I changed that to public function Foo, and it worked.
NB: after 20 years of software development, the LibreOffice API is the crappiest one I've had the "pleasure" of working with. The documentation is horrible, spread all over the place, littered with Uyghur, or completely missing. The LibreOffice macro IDE is also extremely unhelpful.

What does ${plugin::command} mean in NSIS?

I'm trying to figure out how to modify an XML file with NSIS. So I'm trying to learn how to use the XML plugin. The examples on the forum page often use the format ${plugin::command} like:
${xml::LoadFile}
The documentation gives no indication that you need the dollar sign and curly braces. As I understand it, just plugin::command will do. So I've been trying to figure out what that syntax means.
The documentation says a $ is for variables and the {} are for code blocks, but I can't find anything about what it means when they're used together. My Internet searches have revealed that it's used for something called template literals in JavaScript. But what does it mean in NSIS?
EDIT: I should mention that the NSIS documentation does show examples of this syntax, especially in the Predefines section, but it still doesn't explain what the syntax means in general.
EDIT: Okay, now I see that the syntax is for the compiler to replace things using !define and !macro. But... what about this specific case? Is it valid to use colons in such a symbol? Why are some people writing ${xml::LoadFile}and some people just writing xml::LoadFile?
It's a !define. There is a header file for this plugin that defines it. The plugin probably needs to do more than one thing, so they wrapped a few lines together with a define that inserts a macro. Either that or it has some default parameters for the plugin call. Either way, it's trying to save you some typing with this syntax.

Go to implementation instead of TypeScript declaration

When I click an imported variable while holding Cmd on MacOS in VSCode (or Ctrl on other platforms), I often end up looking at the TypeScript declaration of that variable.
Is there any way to have VSCode take me to the definition of it instead?
I don't use TypeScript myself, so the feature isn't helpful to me right now.

This command will try to jump to the original JavaScript implementation of a function/symbol, even for code under node_modules.
JavaScript is a very dynamic language though, so we can't figure out the source location in every case. If you aren't getting results for a common library, please file an issue against TypeScript so we can investigate adding support
For faster and more accurate results, libraries can bundle declaration maps that map from .d.ts files back to source .ts (or .js) files. However many libraries currently do not include these
I found a simple solution for this after a lot of searching.
You just need to add "typescript.disableAutomaticTypeAcquisition": true to your project's settings.json (or vscode's global settings).
This will disable the automatic generation of TypeScript definitions and restore the original "Jump to" behaviour of going to the implementation.

The author provided the wrong instructions though (false when it should have been true so be careful when you read the post. Re-installing node modules was also not needed.
VSCode was updated to include a new option Go to Source Definition. If the ts source is available and ts is upgraded to > 4.7 and VSCode to > 1.67 it should work.
Many library authors do not include the ts source code unfortunately. The package often only consists of the compiled *.js files and the *.d.ts definition files. That makes this new feature of VSCode useless for these packages unfortunately.

Implementation is bundled and transpiled ro javascript and vscode is not able to take you there but instead of it will take you to interface. You can search for references in javascript file or you can clone or form the repo to see the implementation in typescript.
As other answers have already stated,
Regardless of any of your tsconfig and whether the package you are requiring/importing things from provides type declaration files or whether you installed a Definitely Typed package for it or not, you can use the TypeScript: Go to Source Definition command to go to the symbol definition in the JS file. This functionality is provided TypeScript and the vscode.typescript-language-features extension (which is built-into / ships out-of-box with VS Code).
I thought I'd try to give more interesting information that other answers haven't covered yet for fun and profit curiosity's sake (and also explain why this "often" happens to you, but not always):
You can bind that command to a keybinding. It's keybinding command ID is typescript.goToSourceDefinition.
If the package you require or import packages its own type declaration files or you installed a community-maintained type declaration file from the Definitely Typed project, then ctrl+clicking / cmd+clicking into the require/import argument or putting the caret on it and invoking whatever the editor.action.revealDefinition command or editor.action.goToTypeDefinition are bound to (F12 by default for editor.action.revealDefinition) will take you to the type declaration by default.
If the package you require or import doesn't package its own type declarations and you didn't install a types package from the Definitely Typed project, and you modify your tsconfig or jsconfig to set allowJs: true and maxNodeModuleJsDepth: <N>, then ctrl+clicking / cmd+clicking into the require/import argument or putting the caret on it and invoking whatever the editor.action.revealDefinition command or editor.action.goToTypeDefinition command are bound to (F12 by default for editor.action.revealDefinition) will take you to the symbol's definition in the JS file by default (unless you already performed this action at a point when a type declaration file declaration types for symbol was available and have not since reloaded/restarted VS Code or edited your tsconfig/jsconfig file, because it will cache that association in memory (smells like minor bug, but ¯\_( ツ )_/¯)).
The editor.action.revealDeclaration keybinding seems to do nothing here (at the time of this writing). I guess that keybinding is more for languages like C and C++.

Notepad++ and autocompletion

I'm using mainly Notepad++ for my C++ developing and recently i'm in need for some kind of basic autocompletion, nothing fuzzy, just want to type some letters and get my function declaration instead of having a manual opened all of the time..
The integrated autocompletion feature of my Notepad++ version (6.9.2) gives the declaration of basic C functionality like say fopen and parses my current file user defined functions, but without declaration.
I guess it's normal for a text editor to not give easily such information since it has nothing to parse i.e. other files where your declarations are (as it's not an IDE), but i don't want either to mess again with MSVC just for the sake of autocomplete.
Is there an easy, not so-hackish way to add some basic C++ and/or user defined autocomplete?

Adding declarations the "hard way" in some file cpp.xml is a no-no for me as i have a pretty big base of ever changing declarations. Is there a way to just input say some list of h/cpp files and get declarations? or this falls into custom plugin area ?
Edit the cpp.xml file and add all the keywords and function descriptions you'd like. Just make sure you add them in alphabetical order or they will not show up.
Another option is to select Function and word completion in the Auto-Completion area of the Settings-->Preferences dialog. NPP will suggest every "word" in the current file that starts with the first N letters you type (you choose a value for N in the Auto-Completion controls).

AutoCompletion for my DSL keywords in Geany

Geany(IDE) supports Autocompletion or IntelliSense as you program, but this is done based on the words you've used in the code so far.
Is there any way so I could have Autocompletion for my language keywords?
You can achieve this by writing your own tag file. It should be name like <somename>.<filetype>.tags and can be stored e.g. inside .geany-folder or inside global folders. You can import it via Tools-menu.
The tag file contains of a list of your methods, functions etc of your language as well as optimally some options for these commands used a tooltip. You can find some details inside manual
Of course, you could also check the wiki whether there might be already some tag file available for your language.

Is there a quick way to show the code of a method declared in the Scala Console?

I frequently use the Scala console to evaluate and test code before I actually write it down in my project. If I want to know the contents of a variable, I can just enter it and scala evaluates it. But is there also a way to show the code of methods I entered?
I know there's the UP-key to show single lines, but what I was searching for is to show the whole code at once.
There's a file in your home directory named .scala_history that contains all of your recent REPL history. I regularly copy and paste code from this file into project source files. It's not exactly the same as showing the code for individual methods in the REPL, but it might help you accomplish the same goals.

I dont know a command to load all the code from command line.
What you can do is to :load path/to/my/file.scala to load some complex code and re- :load it when you changed the code in the file.
