error while posting payment record to QBO via the IPP API - BILL_PAYMENT_REQUEST_BAD - intuit-partner-platform

while posting payments to QBO via the IPP SDK API, we notice that some of the payment records we are posting are failing with the following message,
errorCode: BILL_PAYMENT_REQUEST_BAD
reason: BILL_PAYMENT_INVALID_VENDOR_ID
we looked up this error code in the intuit error code list, but do not find it. Also as per the error, it seems the vendor to which we are posting the payments are not present in QBO, but on further research we found that the vendors are indeed present in QBO.
Has anyone encountered this error or has any clues as to what this error means.

Is the Vendor Id in BillPayment same as that of the Bill?If not, you will get an error. I believe that might be the issue with your request.

Looking for examples for error handling on Paypal payment status code (other than 201)?

Hello Paypal experience experts,
Since about 5 months I'm trying to implementate version /v2 of the Paypal payment SDK.
I am looking for examples of what you should tell a customer what to do when receiving an error code in the Paypal payment response status code (HTTP?), other than 201.
I'm using the Paypal javascript SDK and PHP SDK with CreateOrder.php and CaptureOrder.php.
A basic test in the sandbox does function okay.
In PHP I will use a self created object from the Paypal response for easier error handling on the client side.
The only example which Paypal gives on their site is about code 422 'Instrument Declined'.
However Paypal also shows a number of other status codes, like 200, 202, 204, 4xx.
To be able to complete my error handling script I would like to have some examples of what the customer should do if any of the other error codes occur.
I would have expected that Paypal would have given those examples, but they seem not to exist (Paypal assumes they will not occur (?) ).
(There are other questions on this forum that look similar, but they are not about /v2)
Can somebody please help me with those examples?
Thank you in advance.
Martin
The best error-handling example for a server-based integration is at https://developer.paypal.com/demo/checkout/#/pattern/server
This shows how to restart with client-side JS in the case of the recoverable instrument declined. For all other cases, it simply shows the error message details returned. If you want to show a different message, you can customize it to your needs, but it is not necessary. The important thing is that in the case of errors you do still return some details from the backend to the frontend that your frontend knows what to do with, which is particularly important for the case of INSTRUMENT_DECLINED.
Other possible error types are documented toward the end of each API reference, for the case of the Orders API that can be found here.

GET transaction information from a specific PayPal transaction using Webhooks and PayPal API in Zapier

UPDATE: After troubleshooting on postman, I've found that start_date and end_date are nessesary fields. Everything now works fine on postman with 200 code. However I am still getting a 400 error on zapier...
I've managed to POST my API credentials and generate an access-token from the previous step in my zap sequence using a Webhook. I then used this token in a GET Webhook in the next step to try and retrieve transaction information (PayPal processing fee, etc...) using transaction_id and fields queries. The transaction ID I am using is being pulled from an actual Woocommerce order on our store, where the customer decided to use PayPal (I've also searched the ID in paypal and it is valid).
The reason I'm doing this is to try and pull extra information from PayPal- Such as payment processing fees about the transaction that Woocommerce does not provide through their app on Zapier.
Unfortunately I am seeing the following error 'The app returned "Invalid request - see details."'
I suspect it is because I am calling for the information incorrectly. In my mind, I am using transaction_id as the unique identifier for the specific transaction, and fields to retrieve all information regarding the transaction.
Error code in Zapier: "Status Code 400 Bad Request" - PayPal docs state: "INVALID_REQUEST. Request is not well-formed, syntactically incorrect, or violates schema"
Update: If you use this method to pull transaction information, you will need to set a delay long enough where the activity time on your paypal dashboard switches from a time to a date (meaning it is the next day). If you don't do this, no important information will be pulled.
I've figured it out. If anyone has a similar issue, set it up like this (probably use more dynamic dates though):

IPN Delivery Failed:I/O error

been trying to wrap my head around an issue I have with the IPN tester, not 100% sure if its my hosting company's problem or Paypal Developer 'beta' to be honest but my IPN's have worked fine on a few sites I have for atleast a year and now it doesn't on any of them. I've not changed anything and now im getting
IPN Delivery Failed:I/O error: www.mywebsitesname.co.uk; nested exception is java.net.UnknownHostException: www.mywebsitesname.co.uk
and none of my NotifyUrl.ashx handlers are working.
any ideas what this actually means in english? any more info. from me required to help you diagnose my issue?
#
AS AN UPDATE (27-08-2013), I thought I would try out the original C# SDK sample code from Paypal that I used to set up my IPN's with about a year or three ago (ie. it worked great with the IPN simulator). I have put it onto two different hosting companies servers to check its not an issue with a particular hosting server and my results using the IPN Simulator show "error 500: internal server error" for one and "IPN Delivery Failed:I/O error: www.ang##########.co.uk; nested exception is java.net.UnknownHostException: www.ang############.co.uk".
In short, I have the same identical sample file from Paypal (that used to work) in the root of each hosting companies servers and im using the same IPN simulator settings, with the exception of the IPN handler URL has the webaddress of the server followed by '/Handler.ashx' (which is the handler file) but i'm getting different errors.
Also to make this a bit more interesting, today I correctly received an IPN from Paypal to one of the same hosting server webaddress, with a 'transaction_subject : PayPal money request from xxxxxxxx' which was received and processed by my existing IPN handler (not the sample one from Paypal) and returned the correct info. to receive 'IPN Response: VERIFIED DateTime: 27-08-2013 19:05' so this got through and worked fine.
So in conclusion, I wonder if Paypal have either changed something and not informed the community or have an issue with their IPN simulator / CART IPN. If anyone can help or if a Paypal support engineer would like to work with me to try out some code, etc, please get back to me as I will keep trying to solve this but to be honest I see not what else I can do from my end as I've seen working IPN and a non working IPN simulator.
As extra info. here is an IPN Message as from my sandbox seller test account, that can't get through to my IPN handler on one of the same hosting servers (returns error 500) yet this used to get through and nothing has changed.

Paypal Error Please try to contact merchant?

I am facing the same problem as seen in this http://forge.prestashop.com/browse/PNM-1165
It says this following message after I click on 'pay with paypal'
Error occurred:
Please try to contact the merchant:
PayPal response:
->
I don't know what to do T^T
Im using prestashop 1.5.4 and paypal module 3.5
There is one reply suggestion from Francois Gaillard added a comment - 29/Mar/13 9:29 AM
He said that
This issue occurs when your server IP has been blocked by the PayPal's API. If you are running share hosting environment the server can be banned blacklisted by PayPal.
Please, try to contact PayPal support they should be able to help you.
Let us know when you have more details please.
Thank you,
Kind regards.
That answer is incorrect in as much that we do not block IP addresses to our API endpoints without making the merchant aware.
It is correct, from our experience, that the above error occurs in PrestaShop when your server is unable to establish a successful HTTPS connection with our API endpoint.
I suggest you take a look at General troubleshooting - API timeout and run the tests provided in it.
Pay special attention to the AT&T block we mention in there, as we've seen a large number of API callers getting blocked at that level.
Unfortunately that block is beyond our control - but we've heard good reports of merchants getting in touch with AT&T and getting that block lifted (if confirmed to be blocked there).

PayPal Pro NVP API Error Localization

I am creating an english and french website that will be using paypal for payment processing.
I have all of the PayPal API working properly, and currently I am just outputting any error messages to the user (L_LONGMESSAGEX). However this is always english, is there a way to output the error messages as french?
I saw a LOCALECODE parameter but that seems to be something else.
Or am I going to have to setup my own lookup table based off the error codes?
No. This is not possible.
The PayPal API error messages are intended for your use only; you're supposed to properly handle these exceptions within your own application, and output a more meaningful message to the buyer.
(For example; "L_LONGMESSAGE0=This transaction has already been approved" means nothing to your buyers. Yet "This transaction has been processed previously. Did you order twice? Give our support team a call if you have any questions regarding your order!" is a lot clearer.)
