Alfresco Data Lists and E-Mail notification - email

I have created a custom Data List and now I would like to send a notification every time that a record is created or updated. The thing is that I would like to include the information inside the record in the e-mail body and I have no idea how. I tried with rules but I can not add the information of the record to the e-mail. Some ideas about it?
Thanks in advance!

You can create policy which will fired when you user is creating node of particular type of datalist.
Take below example
Node inside data list is of type "dl:customNode" Than create policy which implements OnCreateNodePolicy(This will be only called when user is creating node of type "dl:customNode")
Inside Write your code to send mail notification. You can inject your required services in same.

What is the best way to create a form with a confirmation page?

I would like to create the following form:
Step 1: The user enters his contact details.
Step 2: A confirmation page, where the user has the possibility to confirm or edit his entered data again (back to step 1)
The contact details are stored in an entity domain object. The properties have annotations for validation.
My problem:
When I pass the contact object to the confirmation page, I get the message
Could not serialize Domain Object Vendor\Extension\Domain\Model\Object. It is neither an Entity with identity properties set, nor a Value Object.
I understand that I cannot pass a non-persistent domain object. A tip I found was to convert the object to an array and back again later. This works to display the input on the confirmation page. But if the user edits the data, I lose the validation functionality when converting to an array.
Another possibility would be to persist the object already after step 1 (temporarily?) . The problem here is that the data must not be displayed in the backend (they are not yet confirmed). In addition, unused data is created if the user cancels the process.
Is it possible to save objects temporarily?
What is the most elegant solution to this problem?
If you only wan't to create a form, why don't you use a form plugin like Ext:form or Ext:powermail? These have a summary page by default. And you have the possibility to write the entered data into you're database.

Token is not getting a value when the form sent by email

I'm developing a basic recruitment-type website.
I have an "Apply" CustomForm attached with a contenttype("Job"), but I can't get access fields outside of the CustomForm widget. I'm trying to add the reference number or the url to the email within the workflow. Orchard shows {Content.Fields.Input-Reference} token, but it returns no value when used.
Should I overwrite the handler when the form is created or how can I access fields of other zones?
As far as I understand the question, you don't actually need to add a custom token to your module. Custom Forms module takes care of that for you and adds the tokens for fields itself. You just need to use them in the email module.
Just look for a tokens named like this:
Content.Fields.[FormContentTypeName].[FieldName]
Not that the tasks of adding custom tokens to the system and accessing them inside the workflow are particularly hard, mind you.

Force.com email service

I have created an email service in force.com.Can anyone help me out of how to use thta in apex classes.say,i wanna send mail when user registration is successful??
Many Thanks,
Sandhya Krishnan
I assume you want to send an email directly from Apex code, either in a Trigger or from a page controller ... ? If so, this page can get you started:
http://www.forcetree.com/2009/07/sending-email-from-your-apex-class.html
Clearly you don't want to hard-code your email template into your classes, so make sure to read at least through the part that shows how to look up the template dynamically. That should be enough to get you on your way.

Need help with Zend Framework dynamic Namespaces

I want to make my system redirect unknown requests such as
www.address.com/a_company
to the adress
www.address.com/companies/company/ and display the company a_company if it exists in the database, otherwise throw the user to a 404 not found page.
So in detail, I want to make namespace that is as the first example dynamically, if the company exist in the database, I have no problem connecting to the database and retrieving information or finding a way to parse a company name, I just need help how to make my system check and run a function every time the address doesn't exist and show the second page (/companies/company/)..
I am using an Acl as well, but I think it should be fine if the page is /companies/company and then possibly add /?c=a_company or similar.
Thank you.
/Marcus
simply create a front controller plugin which checks the request params agains the database before the request is dispatched.

Drupal email users

I'm using Drupal 6.16: When a user creates an account on my site I have them select a category (ie children, youth, adult, etc). This is done with the select list box using the content_profile module. I have a content type that posts an announcement. In this content type is a check box that says 'email group'. Right now it does nothing, but what I would like for it to do is e-mail all the users that are associated with the group they chose when signing up for their account. If this will require extra code please be specific as I am not a strong php programmer.
Thanks for the help!!

There might be some module that do it exactly, but I don't think so.
I would have done it using few building blocks:
Retrieve the list of emails using Views - define a view that gives you the addresses according to a given group argument.
Use Rules module that will send an email notification after node is created.
Combine the two (this is the hard part) - insert the values from the view as the recipients for the email. You might be able to do it using PHP inside the Rule definition, plus view execution.
Try to accomplish it, and if you get into troubles, you are welcome to contact me via shushu.i#gmail.com
I would try http://drupal.org/project/subscriptions module + http://drupal.org/project/messaging module. You can set preferences for automatic subscribing to content type. Maybe Rules module can subscribe users automatically after creating or updating content_profile. Or maybe Rules can flag users after creating or updating content_profile and Subscription module could autosubscribe flagged users.
