After installing Thunderbird v32.2 (for the first time ever), I tried to add email account using Account Settings -> Add Mail Account.
However, the wizard does not come up. No error messages, nothing in the System Event logs basically nothing happens.
I have Windows 8 64 bit laptop and noticed that Thunderbird is 32 bit app. Is that an issue?

You're probably seeing bug 1107902.
To get it working, follow the instructions from https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1015941#answer-660970:
Run this within PowerShell in the context of the affected user account:
Set-ItemProperty -Path HKCU:\Software\Microsoft\Windows\DWM -Name ColorizationColor -Type DWord -Value 3297742735 -Verbose
OR (the hard way):
List item
Open the Control Panel
Open "Color and Appearance"
In Category View, this is under "Appearance and Personalization » Personalization » Change the color of your taskbar and window borders"
in Icon views, this is under "Personalization » Color"
Select a color
Save Changes

Laptop Model: Sony, Vaio SVE141D11L
Hi! I have two problem. first is when I turn on my laptop I see this Operation System Not Found, and the second problem is, I can't boot bios page, because my keyboard is not working. so, now how can I fix my problem? I mean how can I get into the bios page?
not sure why your keyboard is not working, could use more information - best way to access bios would be to plug in a basic USB keyboard and press key as says on bios screen.
Wireless keyboards/dongle keyboards most likely will not work.
Some other easier things you could try:
It sounds like your memory device(HDD/SSD/M2) might still be working but OS is corrupt so insert an OS installation media (usb, cd etc) if your on Microsoft windows you can get an windows iso tool online, as your computer cant detect OS it should boot into any bootable media.
open up your laptop remove cmos battery for over a minute which should reset your bios in-case keyboard is messed up due to settings
remove your internal media device and plug it into another computer to check if its readable.
Hope this helps

Can't even open ps1 files in vscode from File Explorer. With both (json and ps1) I get a tone with no message that I can find. Everything opens fine if I open directly from the "open file" menu item in vscode. I don't think it was like this before installing PowerShell.
It sounds like a permission error or a bad installation of vscode.
I recommend you reinstall vscode & make sure to check all these 4 boxes in this image below, we will see how it goes after.

Here's the problem:
somehow a folder on my MS Outlook got deleted (don't ask...)
Fortunately, Outlook compacts and stores all the info from inbox, sent, and all folders.
This is saved as a DBX file under "Documents and settings / owner / local settings / application data / identities / (identity)
I can find these files, but how do I restore them?
I cannot import or export them.
Is there a way to restore / convert or other?
To recover your email do the following
Sign in to your Outlook.com account (via a Computer/Laptop)
Go to your Deleted folder (found on the left pane under Folders)
Look for "Lost a message?", and click "recover deleted messages"

How can I prevent Gnome from intercepting the Alt+Shift+~ key? [closed]

I often want to type Alt+Shift+~ while using emacs (to run its command "not-modified"). However, since upgrading to Debian Wheezy (which upgraded Gnome to 3.4), I find that when I type those keys, Emacs doesn't "hear" the keystroke; instead, I see a popup window that looks like the window I see when I hit Alt+TAB (except this window only ever has a single icon in it, for Emacs, as opposed to the window that Alt+TAB brings up, which has one icon for each application).
I've fixed many similar stolen-keystroke problems like this in the obvious way: I click my name in the upper-right corner of the screen, choose "System Settings" from the dropdown menu; click the "Keyboard" icon, click the "Shortcuts" tab, and examine every entry on the right side to see if it's the guilty party; if so, I disable it. However, in this particular case, I cannot find any entry that refers to the tilde or the backtick key, so I don't know what to delete.
I've also tried examining the output of gconftool-2 --recursive-list to see if I could find anything likely, but saw nothing that looked relevant.
Some diligent googling for "gnome alt backtick" found this:
gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.wm.keybindings switch-group "['disabled']"

What single command (for use in a batch file) will change the PC's
time zone to GMT+10
Is there a line command which will do this directly?
I have started to look at the "Time And Date" control panel but it
doesn't quite do what I want ...
The following command opens the "Time And Date" control panel and
selects the time zone tab. But what do I do to automatically select
the GMT+10 setting and then close the control panel?
rundll32.exe shell32.dll,Control_RunDLL timedate.cpl,,1
Use this for Windows XP:
runDLL32.exe shell32.dll,Control_RunDLL timedate.cpl,,/Z (GMT+10:00) Brisbane
Or this for Windows 7:
TZUTIL /S "E. Australia Standard Time"
I suppose that Powershell CMD-lets can solve your problem. Here you can get more information about it: Technet Support
