I have a website and a very active Facebook group.
I need a Two way sync between the Website and the Facebook Group. This means anything posted on the website should be automatically posted on my Facebook group and anything posted on my Facebook Group should be posted on my website.
At the moment i have figured out the way to post from my website using the graph api.
My question is how do i do the vice versa i.e whenever a post gets posted on my website i automatically update it on my website.
Is there a api to do this ,some kind of push from facebook or is continuous polling only way ?

After reading Graph API documentation, stackoverflow questions, etc, i'm still confused on the task i have.
In short what i want:
-i have a classified ads website and i want to publish the ad from it to a facebook group where i'm not an administrator.
I have a facebook page (which is represent my website) from the name of which i want to publish an ad in the group. The ad in the group must be published as the "sale" post.
I'm using Facebook javascript SDK for this.
So, i'm really stuck in how do i do it.
what i tried is publishing using my app, using user/page access_token, but always getting different problems.
Can someone tell me, if it is possible to make what i want? and if possible - the algorhytm, what should i do for that?
I've written a Facebook web application, which is able to post links to the app page feed (as the page) by requesting the page token and doing a post request to the /PAGE_ID Graph REST endpoint. So far, so good, but I'd like to tag the links with their authors as well. When I add the tags parameter to this request with a value of my user id (I am an admin of the page), this works fine. But when I enter another user id (even one that likes the app page), no tagging is done. Does anyone have any experience with this? Some blog post suggest this is not possible using the Graph API, even though this is possible when done manually.
Thanks!
If I understand correctly what you want to do, it is no longer possible with the new version of the Facebook's API (v.2.0).
Refer to this page for more informations.
I own a blog like website, and as part of promotions I have a corresponding facebook page. My website contents are dynamic & when it gets updated(through a bot), I want the facebook page also to be updated by an automated post/publish from the bot which shows up the updates to the page viewers.
I could create a facebook page, and my bot programme which updates the web content is also able to publish the content on my facebook page using graph apis. But the posts are not publicly visible(Visible to only me/admin).
I could learn that it could be because my app through which my bot program is publishing to my facebook page is not public.
App->Status & Review, Status (Tab)
(Do you want to make this app and all its live features available to the general public?).
To make the app public, there is a review process which checks the facebook login button used in the website but my posts are through a backend bot and not through user action. My website is like a blog without user authentication so can't think of adding a login there.
Is it possible without having user login on the page? Also, If I post using twitter apis and link/configure my twitter account to my facebook page, it works.I guess this is not a new problem and many brands have automated it already, so need to understand how.
Am I missing something?
Apologies: I have checked previous posts on the same topic, but couldn't find relevant answers for the current Facebook version & policies.
Without the Login Review process, your posts can not be visible to the public.
To get it working, just send your page management tool (with the login dialog) for the review. Once they review it and accepted, you may change the flow a bit eg: skip the login part and allow auto posting.
Facebook comments plugin - as far as I understand, if I have put the facebook comments plugin on a post web page, and the permalink of the post being commented on matches the base URL, then comments are stored via facebook using my post permalink.
Lets say if I post the permalink onto my facebook page wall (which I am the admin of), the open graph tags come into play, all the relavant data is pulled in, fb:admins, fb:app etc.
But is it possible to connect my facebook page (using my facebook page ID) to that permalink - so that comments posted on the page using comment plugin, connect/link with the post comments on my facebook page wall?
Thanks
This is currently not possible. We've implemented custom solution using Facebook Application and Facebook Javascript SDK on the website itself. You need to query the comments table of a specific Page post via FQL using your app access token from your server to retrieve all comments and render them on the page.
Then you need to provide user with several entry points for several states in order to enable posting for them. You need to solve four cases:
User doesn't like the page and didn't authorize your app
User doesn't like the page and authorized your app
User likes the page and didn't authorize your app
User likes the page and authorized your app
User needs to like your page and authorize your app with publish_stream permission in order to be able to comment on your page posts via your website. Of course you need to maintain reference between posts on your page and posts on your website.
The website where we did this a few years ago is BIGGBOSS click on "Komentáře" and find the same post on Facebook with the same comments.
As far as I understand your question its not possible to connect the comments from the commentbox, integrated in your non-facebook page (e.g a blog of yours), to the comments which are posted to a post on your fanpage.
The only solution would be to build an custom commentbox with the open-graph and publish the comments to the fanpagepost and additionally extract the comments out of the fanpage to display them on your blog.
But this requires accepting permission dialog before people are able to comment on your blog which would probably decrease the comments made. You would lose the benefit of the built-in commentbox.
I'am really new to all this Facebook development, and I wanted to integrate Facebook within my personal website.
I am now trying to test if what I want is possible.
I want to post a status from my server, via php/js to my Page in Facebook.
How can I do so?
B.W.
I saw that there is this FBJS function called "Facebook.streamPublish"
But I don't know how to integrate it.
Is there any possible way to do so?
Can you give me an example?
-Secondly, what is an access token?
You get an access_token after facebook authenticates you. You will need this access_token for all subsequent API calls. You can find the details here:
http://developers.facebook.com/docs/authentication/
You can use graph API for publishing on the wall and doing other allowed actions. Details of publishing api can be found here:
http://developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/api/post/
But do have a look on the facebook policy, because publishing automatically to a wall is considered violation.
