Typo3 Listview buttons inactive - typo3

i am using the dam_frontend 0.6.6 extension for my local TYPO3 4.7.7 and i have some problems with the listview.
I created a new content on my site and put the extensions plugin in it. Inside the plugin, i choose the option "Listview". So the file list shows me all the files and documents that "a user" has been uploaded.
Furthermore, the file view has two buttons, once a magnifying glass (as a view of the file) and a download button. Unfortunately, when i click one of this buttons, nothing happens.
How can I activate these buttons?
I would like to upload an image but i have a new account and first of all i have to do 10 reputations to poste an image -.-
Code in the extension setup:
link_download = IMAGE
link_download {
file = EXT:dam_frontend/res/ico/clip_pasteafter.gif
#style="border-width: 0px
stdWrap.typolink {
parameter.data = TSFE:id
additionalParams = &eID=dam_frontend_push&docID={field:uid}
additionalParams.insertData = 1
}
if.value=1
if.equals.field=allowDownload
}
link_single = IMAGE
link_single {
file = EXT:dam_frontend/res/ico/zoom.gif
#style="border-width: 0px
stdWrap.typolink {
parameter.data = TSFE:id
additionalParams = &tx_damfrontend_pi1[showUid]={field:uid}&tx_damfrontend_pi1[backPid]={TSFE:id}
additionalParams.insertData = 1
no_cache = 1
}
}

Typo3 Content Elements missing in wizard

I have some content elements in a site package which I want to show up in the content element wizard as explained here:
https://docs.typo3.org/m/typo3/reference-coreapi/main/en-us/ApiOverview/ContentElements/ContentElementsWizard.html
Basically I have done the same as shown in the section "Create a new tab"
Configuration\TsConfig\Page\ContentElement\All.tsconfig is looking like this:
mod.wizards.newContentElement.wizardItems.mci.header = MCI
mod.wizards.newContentElement.wizardItems.mci {
elements {
mci_home_banner {
iconIdentifier = home-banner
title = Home-Banner
description = Banner der Startseite
tt_content_defValues.CType = mci_home_banner
}
mci_home_banner_element {
iconIdentifier = home-banner-element
title = Home Banner Element
description = Element im Starseitenbanner
tt_content_defValues.CType = mci_home_banner_element
}
}
show := addToList(mci_home_banner, mci_home_banner_element)
}
I reduced the code to just 2 elements. They are not shown at all, but are available over the dropdown, so I can switch to one of them after choosing another element.
This didn't work when created in 9.5 and still does not work after switching to version 11.5.10
What am I missing?
#user414873 Did you try to add your custom elements to the "common" tab instead of your new one "mci"?
And did you try to use an existing icon identifier (e.g. "content-image" or an other one - see https://typo3.github.io/TYPO3.Icons/)? Just to make sure that there is no problem with your custom icons that prevents the elements from being displayed.
Does this minimal example work for you:
mod.wizards.newContentElement.wizardItems.common {
elements {
mci_home_banner {
iconIdentifier = content-image
title = Home-Banner
description = Banner der Startseite
tt_content_defValues.CType = mci_home_banner
}
}
show := addToList(mci_home_banner)
}
And I would doubt this:
I guess otherwise the content elements wouldn't be available at all.
I suggest you check it's correctly included by using the "Info" module in your TYPO3 main menu. Then select the page where the content element should be included and switch the dropdown on top of the content area to "View TSconfig fields content". Now you can search for "wizards" and check if your element is included.

TYPO3 Custom Menu Element

I am trying to create a custom menu element by using this in the Page TSConfig:
TCEFORM.tt_content {
menu_type.addItems.101 = My Menu
}
And this in Setup:
temp.my_menu = HMENU
temp.my_menu {
special = list
special.value.field = pages
1 = TMENU
1 {
wrap = <ul> | </ul>
NO = 1
NO.wrapItemAndSub = <li>|</li>
}
}
tt_content.menu.20.101 < temp.my_menu
But I get 'Oops, an error occurred!' where the menu should be.
It will render fine if I remove the Fluid includes in the template but then all the other content elements give errors.
Is there any way to have a typoscript menu element at the same time as fluid styled content?
Or if I really have to, how do I add a custom fluid menu template?
You need to move the line with the copy operation down to the bottom, otherwise the configuration is not copied, because it is not there yet.
The exception happens, because there is no rendering definition for the menu (because you never copied the configuration).
To see the real error instead of the exception, switch to the development preset in the install tool oder add the following line to your TS setup:
config.contentObjectExceptionHandler = 0
I noticed this :
TCEFORM.tt_content {
menu_type.addItems.101 = My Menu
}
as far as I know should be this :
TCEFORM.tt_content.menu_type {
types {
menu{
addItems {
101 = My Menu
}
}
}
}
I had to 'tweak' the special menus (typo3 7.6) and this worked:
Add special menu and add class="active" in TYPO3

How to hide a plugin's title via Typoscript when rendering with css_styled_content

This is probably very basic, but I'm stuck.
In TYPO3 6.1.x with tx_news, I have configured the news detail view to appear on the same page as the list view as taught on http://docs.typo3.org/typo3cms/extensions/news/latest/Main/Tutorial/IntegrationWithTs/Index.html
Also, I have pulled in the news'header as h1 as such
temp.h1 = COA
temp.h1 {
10 = TEXT
10 {
value = <h1>{page:title}</h1>
insertData = 1
}
10 = RECORDS
10 {
if.isTrue.data = GP:tx_news_pi1|news
dontCheckPid = 1
tables = tx_news_domain_model_news
source.data = GP:tx_news_pi1|news
source.intval = 1
conf.tx_news_domain_model_news = TEXT
conf.tx_news_domain_model_news {
field = title
htmlSpecialChars = 1
}
wrap = <h1>|</h1>
}
}
What I couldn't solve yet is that the plugin element has a title (in the regular "header" field). I need to display this header only in the list, but hide that plugin's header field in detail view.
How / where can I do that via page TS?
This is probably not even in the plugin, but in css_styled_content?
Something like this...
[globalVar = GP:tx_news_pi1|news > 0]
plugin.tx_news.stdheader >
[else]
But how?
A plugin is always using this prototype object:
tt_content.list
Therefore you could delete the header of this object like that
tt_content.list.10 >
But if you have other plugins on the same page, their headers would also be deleted. So that would be a bad idea.
I would suggest you use the header_layout field. By default it has an entry called "Hidden" that will hide the header of your plugin. If you don't have it, check the Page TypoScript configuration. You can add own items by using:
TCEFORM.tt_content.headerLayout.addItems.99 = My Header Layout
Then you can then define the rendering of your own layouts in
lib.stdheader.10
(it's a CASE object)

TYPO3: Trying to add link to images

On our site, other admins add images via the "Resources" tab of the main page. These images are displayed as Banners in a Slider on the main page. However, now they want the ability to add links to specific images.
My first thought on this (after receiving some help on making a loop for images to be added to the page) was to perhaps let them be able to add the link to either the "Title" or "Caption" spot I saw there. And later, on the slider "create" function, pull the said data from the image and make <a> wrap around the image before the slider finished building. I've already tested the slider plugin with this functionality, and that would work fine, however, I can't seem to pull anything from the "Title" or "Caption" and add it to the image in any way.
My other thought would be, is there a way to extend the back end to give them an actualy spot to paste links on images so that I may pull that and wrap the image via the typoscript, or can i pull from caption and wrap image in <a> "if" the link is available.
In other words, does typoscript have a type of "if" statement? What I ahve so far, thanks to maholtz is as follows:
#BANNER IMAGES LOOP BEGIN
page.10.marks.topimage = TEXT
page.10.marks.topimage {
# retrieve data
data = levelmedia: -1, "slide"
override.field = media
# we have some filenames in a list, let us split the list
# and create images one by one
# if there are five images selected, the CARRAY "1" will be executed
# five times where current is loaded with only one filename
split {
# the images are separated via ","
token = ,
# you can do funny stuff with options split, f.e. if you want to give first
# and last image a different class... but thats another topic;)
# we just say, render every splitted object via CARRAY "1"
cObjNum = 1
1 {
# just render the single image,
# now there should be one filename in current only
10 = IMAGE
10 {
file.import.wrap = fileadmin/user_upload/|
file.import.current = 1
border = 0
file.height = 670
file.width = 1800
altText = Banner
titleText = Banner
# attempt to add link to image if available
caption.1.typolink.parameter.field = image_link
caption.1.typolink.parameter.listNum.stdWrap.data = register:IMAGE_NUM_CURRENT
}
}
}
wrap = <div id="slides">|</div>
}
#BANNER IMAGES LOOP END
I was thinking perhaps I could do something like:
10 {
file.import.wrap = fileadmin/user_upload/|
file.import.current = 1
border = 0
file.height = 670
file.width = 1800
altText = Banner
titleText = Banner
# attempt to add link to image if available
caption.1.typolink.parameter.field = ???
caption.1.typolink.parameter.listNum.stdWrap.data = register:IMAGE_NUM_CURRENT
}
But as you can see, I'm stumped on how that might even work right. Can anyone help point me the right way.
As before mentioned, perhaps I could do ONE of two things:
Pull link from "Title" or "Caption" and add it to the IMAGE Date on output so that I can use that client side to wrap the image in appropriate a tag, |OR|
Pull link from there and use typoscript to wrap the image in a tags
When accessing the ressources via levelmedia = slide you're not directly accessing the FAL table. Therefore you have to load it again to access the fields you want. We solved exactly the problem you have with the following code. Insert it inside your 1 after 10 = IMAGE.
typolink{
parameter{
cObject = RECORDS
cObject{
source.current = 1
tables = sys_file_reference
conf.sys_file_reference = TEXT
conf.sys_file_reference.field = #title or description
}
}
}

Social media links in TYPO3 using typoscript

I'm newbie to TypoScript. I actually don't know how to make link like this:
By googling, I got some idea on typoscript like this:
lib.social = COA
lib.social.special = language
lib.social.special.value = 0,1,2
lib.social.1 = GMENU
lib.social.1{
wrap = <ul> | </ul>
noBlur = 1
expAll = 1
NO = 1
NO {
ATagTitle.field = title // nav_title
stdWrap.htmlSpecialChars = 1
wrapItemAndSub = <li> | </li>
accessKey = 1
}
}
lib.social.1.NO{
XY = [5.w]+4, [5.h]+4
5 = IMAGE
5.file = {$global.imagePath}facebook.png || {$global.imagePath)twitter.png || {$global.imagePath)xing.png
5.offset = 2,2
}
I'm sure I got a problem with lib.social = language and I also try different things lik directory or browse but it still does not work and I may have some mistakes with the above script which I can't figure out.
In overall, I don't know how to make it work by linking to the external urls using typoscript.
Thanks
Most of social networks has their own embedding code so you don't need to create it manually, just can put into the marker the code...
lib.social = COA
lib.social.10 = TEXT
lib.social.10.value = <fb:like send="true" width="450" show_faces="true"></fb:like>
you can also use www.addthis.com to place many different social buttons
If you need to use custom graphics anyway, use common links, each with custom id attribute, then just use CSS to set it's display as block set the width,height, float (to make sure the each button is in the sam line, and finally background-image with your buttons. Use sprite technique for the image for best results (all buttons in one file, then set correct button for link with background-position
I see u just want to have some image menu.
Create a new page of type Menu Separator in your pagetree
Create a new page for every menu item and use type Link to External URL (don't forget to fillin the url in the page properties)
Upload your image inside the page properties under Resources -> media
Use the code below to show the menu on your front-end (replace special.value = 2000 with the page ID of your social page.
Code: http://shrib.com/gRrK9uGL
(sorry didnt get the code visible here)
