JPA criteria, where count > 0 - jpa

I have 2 tables:
Client
Invoice
Client has an OneToMany association, to list the invoices.
I want to use CriteriaBuilder to create this select:
select
...
from
Client c
where
(select count(1) from Invoice i where i.id = c.invoiceId) > 0
How can I do this?

with JPQL you can use :
Query query = em.createQuery
("SELECT c FROM Client c WHERE (SELECT COUNT(i) FROM Invoice i WHERE i.client= c) > 0");

but with Criteria API as you are using subquery in where clause you need something like below (maybe it's not exactly what you want I'm not sure because didn't test I just write it):

Root<Client> client = q.from(Client.class);

CriteriaBuilder JPA: Multiselect in Subquery / groupby / maxresult

Currently I'm working on a "filter"-function for a customer list.
I have this following subquery and I'm not sure if there is a way to build this with the CriteriaBuilder. It would also work without the multiselect b.date, ... but I need Group By, Order By and Limit in order to select the min value. The result should be a single number.
SELECT (COALESCE(SUM(b.account1),0) + COALESCE(SUM(b.account2),0) + COALESCE(SUM(b.deposits),0)) AS SUM FROM customer_balance b WHERE b.client_nr = '123455'

After talking to some colleagues I refactored the query to:
SELECT min(COALESCE(b.current_account,0) + COALESCE(b.overnight_deposits,0) + COALESCE(b.term_deposits,0)) FROM customer_balance b WHERE b.client_nr = '123456'

Other than #BillyFrost mentioned, I'm not sure if every sql query is buildable with the Criteria API.

JPA Criteria orderBy: unexpected AST node

I have the following criteria query, which retrieves some fields from Anfrage and Sparte entities and also the translated string for the sparte.i18nKey.
This works as expected if I dont use orderBy.
Now I have the requirement to sort by the translated string for sparte.i18nKey and using the orderBy as shown below, results in QuerySyntaxException: unexpected AST node
So the problem must be the subselect in the orderBy clause!

how to flatten out webapi EF using DTO and linq

I am trying to flatten out my webapi EF using a DTO and linq but not quite sure how to do it. My end goal is to say, I want to return ALL four accounts where USERNAME = x.
In this example there is 1 username with access to 1 client, and that 1 client has 4 accounts.
How can I make the result come back with 4 entries, 1 for each account?
Here is what I have so far...

JPA Query with GROUP BY, HAVING and COUNT

So the query below is probably not the most efficient, buy still, I am wondering why it is returning no result, even though the SQL counterpart does. There is no error, I am just getting no result. Is it maybe not the correct equivalent for the query I wrote in MySQL?
This is the JPA JPQL.

The two queries are not the same. To use the actual query use the NativeQuery createNativeQuery() instead of Query.
In your case the JPA version seems to have syntax errors.
After the AND you are missing the IN operator.
In the nested query you are selecting i instead of something like i.idInvoice
The JPA query should look like

Using a multiselect from the CriteriaQuery like this generates the proper SQL when executed, but the following exception

A few issues,
you call, sq.from(GpsCoord.class); twice
using device.fetch(Device_.gpsCoords); will also fetch the object, and will join it twice
you IN is incorrect it should be,
select.where(criteriaBuilder.get(path).in(sq));
