Bluemix top menu bar disappears - ibm-cloud

Sometimes the menu bar (with menu items for DASHBOARD, SOLUTIONS, CATALOG, PRICING, etc.) at the top of the Bluemix masthead disappears when I re-size my browser window. How can I access these menu items when running with limited screen space and a narrow browser window?

The functions move to the "hamburger" menu selector in the upper left corner based on the responsive design

This is on purpose. The Bluemix console has a responsive design so features degrade as the browser window gets smaller. This is on par with what bootstrap does.
If you have any feature suggestions please leave it as a comment below and I can get it to our design team.

How to open a popup on click of button placed in menu page in master detail page in xamarin forms?

I am working on xamarin.forms. I am using Master detail page. In menupage of MasterDetailPage I have some menu items that are listed. At the bottom of the Menu list I placed a button on menu page. Now I need to open a popup on click of that button. I am trying with PopupLayout but not able to get any success.
Please tell me how I can open a custom popup box at the click of the button that is placed in menu page?

Without going into separate, native projects for all platforms you are targeting (such as Android, iOS, UWP...), you cannot pop out custom UI content over existing pages in Xamarin.Forms out of the box. You would need to bring in additional references or get creative with the AbsoluteLayout control.
Here are a few options you have:
Simple popup with message and or option selection
If all you need is a simple popup message or a list of buttons, you should look into the native DisplayAlert and DisplayActionSheet methods. They are built into Xamarin.Forms and work really well for these simple cases.
More complex popup dialogs
For anything more complex than that, there is the excellent UserDialogs project: ACR UserDialogs github page
It will give you support for various loading dialogs, date, time pickers, action sheet, success/info/error toasts and more.
Fully custom UI markup with AbsoluteLayout
There is a technique where by you prepare the underlying page with a root absoltue layout, which enables you to dynamically add new UI on top of all other controls on your page. This is fiddly and can ruin your performance if you are not careful. This is also the approach that the PopupLayout control that you mentioned uses. If done properly, this can be a good solution, but I don't recommend it as it involves additional complexity on each page that hosts the popup content.
Fully custom UI popup on native projects
Your most flexible option, as always, is to fall back to the native projects. This would involve coding up the popup logic on each separate platform that you are targeting, then using DependencyService (or one of the other techniques) to call into it from the shared project. For this you should look at samples and tutorials for popups on separate native platforms as it gets pretty broad and goes way outside the topic of this question.

GWT - Move panel to new browser tab/window

I'm working on a GWT application that has the following layout:
- on top there's Menu Bar
- below that screen is separated into two panel by Split Layout Panel
When user clicks on a label in Menu Bar relevant information is show below in the left part of the screen. Then user clicks on an action item on that left part of the screen, and relevant information on that action item is displayed on the right part of the screen.
Clicking on an action item on the right part of the screen may also change relevant information on left part of the screen.
I want to extend on this by giving a possibility to drag/drop the panel on the right part of the screen to another browser tab/window. After that the right and left part of the screen should remain connected as if they are in the same browser tab/window.
Also, that new tab/window should only display that right panel, while Menu Bar and left panel, along with Split Layout Panel should not be present (this is less important but it would be great if it can be done).
Another important thing is that current visual representation of application is not changed but only extended with this functionality.
Is that something that can be done and if it is how to do it?
Thank you for your help.
I think you would have to use "HTML5" native drag and drop to drag between browser instances, so that would limit browser support. Both tabs would already have to have your code loaded into them so they could respond to these events.
If you have a server back end (not just static HTML/JS) then you could communicate via the server. Otherwise maybe "HTML5" client side storage to store blobs of data describing the panel contents. Probably easier re-render in the new browser/tab.

Blackberry 10 Left Slider

The menu slider that the menu is popping out from the left side of the screen is awesome.
"I was just trying to see how it can be emulated in my application.
Any one has a clue how it can be achieved?"
I want it to look exactly like on the picture, with menu items on the left.
There is a similar Android Question
You can use TabbedPane for that purpose, having left menu populated with set of Actions. However, usage of TabbedPane means you have to use Tabs.
In your case, you'll most likely have to use Actions menu which pops out from the right side as this complies with Blackberry Design Guidelines and fits your goals as I can see it from the screenshot provided better.

Google Chrome page bottom cut off

Since google chrome updated to 11.0.696.60 some days ago, it cuts off the bottom of popup pages ... the status bar is displayed OUTSIDE the window at the bottom. Here is an example how it happens on the Facebook share popup, like shown in the screenshot:
On the left window the share and skip button disappear totally. The page seems to be larger than the window but resizing the windows does not uncover them. When you hover over a link, the status bar appears outside the chrome window ... strange! Maximizing the window or going into fullscreen mode shows the bottom. I detect this behavior on different popup pages on different systems ...
Is this a setting thing or a bug?!?
Since I code something with this fb share function (fb jsSDK)
ok, i found now there is a thread at the chromium forum regarding this issue:
here
Just managed to fixed this issue by reverting the theme back to the default.
options > personal stuff > themes > reset to default theme
For me the problem was occurring due to a zoom level exceeding 100%. Setting the zoom value to 100% fixed it.

Drag/Slide div inside overflow:hidden container on iPhone

I am creating a wepapp, that has a horizontal menu. The menu is limited to 320px and has overflow set to hidden. Inside the links are wrapped in a div which has a width set to it. The list overflows on the x axis. I have applied a jquery plugin called OverScroll so you can drag this list left and right to reveal the hidden menu items.
It works great on a desktop browser but I am having difficulty on getting this to work on the iphone.
I have set up a demo at www.irfanyasin.com/iphone/
Any ideas?
Thanks
Apart from general usability issues (will people know it's slidable? I could see how this can be annoying if you use that menu often and have to slide it a lot), dragging doesn't work on most touch interfaces. You could try adding left and right buttons that scroll the menu when they click them maybe?
Also your demo doesn't work in Chrome on my desktop. Is the menu supposed to slide? It won't.
