User enters time on timecard page and clicks on ‘Continue’ button.
On the review page he does not ‘Submit’ or goes ‘Back’ or ‘Cancel’. But clicks on other links such as ‘Home’ or ‘Preferences’, etc.
Requirement is to provide a warning message to the user on the Time card review page when he does not save the timecard but navigates off the page. How it can be done?

Are there ways to get user profile picture and name as you can get in "Continue as {name}" button? I would like to get such info in my custom login button, is it possible?
I know I can get such info if user is connected to facebook and to my app, but that "Continue as {name}" button shows such info even if user is not related to my app at all. So is there a way to get it? :)
Created a Static HTML Tab for a Lead Page in Facebook, asking for a form to be completed.
When the user clicks the "Submit" button, data is sent to my Salesforce Account, and the user then needs to go to a 2nd Facebook Tab which I've set up as a Thank-You Page.
Problem is that with iFrames, I can't get the Return URL to work as the user is already on the Facebook tab page when clicking "Submit."
Here's the code for the Submit Button... any advice would be appreciated:
(input type="hidden" name="retURL" value="https://facebook.com/member/thank-you/" /)
i have this app that asks the user to take a quiz and after that quiz (on the result page), the user has to like the page to continue using the app.
so, i need to retrieve $_REQUEST["signed_request"] on that page.
the problem is.. i can print $_REQUEST["signed_request"] only on the index page, but NOT on the result page...
and, by the way, when i click on the "like" button of the page, it redirects me on the index (again) instead of staying on the result page.. causing the user to begin the quiz again!
what should i do?
Store whether or not the user has liked the page in a session variable and access it in the second page
Not sure if this is a bug or if I'm missing something in the docs, but when I set show-faces="true" for the Facebook Login Button plugin on my website, it seems to stop paying attention to the registration-url parameter.
This one works as expected:
<fb:login-button registration-url="http://mysite.com/my_registration/"></fb:login-button>
Result:
if user is not logged in to FB, will display "Login". When clicked,
will prompt user to login. Once user logs in, if they are not registered with my site, will redirect to http://mysite.com/my_registration/. If they have already registered, will just close the auth dialog.
if user is logged in to FB, but not registered with my site, will display "Register". When clicked, will immediately redirect to http://mysite.com/my_registration.
if user is logged in to FB and already registered, will display "Login" but won't do anything when clicked.
All of this is fine and good. But, when I add show-faces="true" like so:
<fb:login-button registration-url="mysite.com/my_registration" show-faces="true"></fb:login-button>
Result:
the faces show up, so that's good. However...
if user is not logged in to FB, will display "Login". When clicked, will prompt user to login. Once user logs in, if they are not yet registered with my site, it will register them, but it will not redirect to the url specified by registration-url.
if user is logged in to FB, but not registered with my site, will display "Login" (instead of "Register" like the example above). When clicked, again, does not redirect to the registraiton-url.
if user is logged in to FB and already registered, it will show the faces, but it will not display the login button.
I haven't been able to find anything to explain the behavior. Anybody got any ideas or links? Thanks in advance.
I'm hoping that someone can help me out with this problem that I've been trying to solve all day. It appears as though there is a new 'Like' button on certain Facebook Fan Pages. When a user hits this button a dialog box appears that says.... "Help your friends discover great places to visit by writing a recommendation for 'Fan Page Name'". There is space to include a recommendation and 2 buttons; 'recommend' or 'skip'.
My team have developed a fangated promotion for this client (which lives on a separate canvas page). With the typical 'Like' button functionality the user likes the page and is automatically taken to the canvas page promotion. As a result of this new 'Like' button (whether the user chooses to recommend or not) the are automatically redirected back to the main Wall and can only access the canvas promotion by clicking on the correct icon in the left column.(Needless to say this is resulting in a lot of traffic being lost.)
I have 3 questions here;
Any ideas on how to remove this 'Recommend' dialog box and revert back to the normal 'Like' button
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to allow the user click 'Like' (recommend or not) and arrive at the correct canvas page without the redirect back to the Wall?
Do you have any insight on how FB are choosing which pages to roll this new 'Like' button out to?
Thanks in advance!
It's a facebook bug for places pages
