My iPhone device has become ineligible device after upgrading Xcode to 6.3. I was able to see my app on my iPhone device before. After upgrade it is shown under ineligible device.
You need to update your device to iOS 8.3 according to Xcode 6.3.
The problem may be with the Deployment Target. Change the deployment Target
Turn off the device and turn it on again before testing app on your device.

I am having a problem with XCode and the ability to test an app on a physical device. I am running XCode v. 4.5.2 and my iPhone is OS 6.1. When I try to test on the physical device I get the following error:
"No provisioned iOS devices are available with a compatible iOS version. Connect an iOS device with a recent enough version of iOS to run your application or choose an iOS simulator as the destination."
The deployment target for the app is 6.0. I don't know what else to check. Can anybody offer advice?
Thx!
You need to upgrade to Xcode 4.6, which supports iOS 6.1 and above

We have developed an iOS application that supports both iOS5 and iOS6. The problem is that the ipa file is successfully synced and installed in iOS6 but it is not installed in iOS5. Please share your suggestion. Thanks in advance.
Probably your deployment target is 6.0. That's why it is not installing on iOS 5 devices.
If you need to install application on device then the deployment target of the application should be less than or equal to the iOS device's OS version.
Set the deployment target to 5.0.
Also check whether you added the device's UDID to the provisioning profile (if you are using development certificates)
I have iPad 1 and i want to test my app on it.
i connect the iPad to the computer, and the IOS Device not change to the device name.
when i press on Run i get this msg:
Xcode cannot run using the selected device.
No provisioned iOS devices are available with a compatible iOS version.
Connect an iOS device with a recent enough version of iOS to run your
application or choose an iOS simulator as the destination.
Any suggestion why it happen?
The top explanations for this error are
1) Your iPad is running an OS version newer than that supported by Xcode
or
2) You have not yet provisioned your iPad
Ok
I find the solution :
in IOS Deployment Target change it to the minimum version you want the app will work
You need to add the UDID of the device to your developer mobile provisioning profile.
If you have Xcode 4.2 this can be done actually automatically, else you'll have to do this manually (get the UDID, log into the developer portal, add the device's UDID to the devices list, at that device then to your developer profile, download and install that profile, select this profile as a developer profile for your current app)
I am trying to run an application in xcode 4.2 to IPhone 4.3.3. All what I see to run against are:
IOS Device
IPad 5 Simulator
Iphone 5 Simulator
I tried to change my Code Signing, but still did not work. I am getting this message:
"Xcode cannot run using the selected device.
No provisioned IOS devices are available with compatible
IOS version. Connect an IOS device with a recent enough version
of the IOS to run your application or choose an IOS simulator
as the destination"
I already have the provisioning already setup successfully for my IPhone 4.3.3.
Thanks in advance.
Select the Project's Target. Under the Summary, make sure the Deployment Target is set to the lowest version you want to support (4.0, 4.3.3, whichever you prefer).
Look at Deployment Target Settings in Build Settings. Set it to 4.3
Make sure your iOS deployment Target is set to iOS 4.3 or less
I upgraded to XCode 4 and a Verizon iPhone 4. After installing I am unable to sign and run anything on device. Yes I HAVE added it to the portal (using organizer and on the website). I've downloaded the certificates, and everything checks out.
I get the message: XCode cannot run using the selected device. No provisioned iOS devices are available. Connect an iOS device or choose an iOS simulator as the destination.
Could this be due to the Verizon iphone being 4.2.8 and not 4.3?
EDIT: Also, my ipad runs fine on it. Both devices show up in organizer, have the team provisioning certificates, and show up in the portal, etc...

The fact that the iPhone is from Verizon has absolutely nothing to do with provisioning.
Try removing all of the certificates that are installed on the device currently, and try again. If the device is included in the certificates, then you should be good to go. Also ensure that you are running a supported iOS version on the device as set in your Xcode project.
The foremost thing you'll want to do is make sure your app's deployment target isn't iOS 4.3 and is instead something lower. (Base SDK should remain as Latest iOS.)
