CACert add domain - email

I've registered at CACert to get a trusted certificate for my domain example.com, when I want to add the domain in the CACert control panel I have to select a email adress that is used for this domain:
The CACert FAQ states that there is currently no other way than getting an email at one of the specified email accounts. I currently don't have an email server running on my server to receive that email, but I tried to run one and it didn't work. Of course I could have read the documentations for the email server and try to get the server working, but is there a simpler way of receiving that email, because I just need that one email and it would be a realy big effort to run a full email server for this? Can I maybe redirect a email that is send at admin#example.com to my email adress at yahoo? With OS I'm flexible, I can use Windows or Linux, I just want to know the easiest way of receiving that adress.
Thanks in advance

No, there isn't another way of verfifying. But you easily setup an smtp server with postfix to receive the email

PHPMailer hosting site using 123-reg

basically I'm hosting my site on 123-reg and have a contact form on my site which i want people to send me emails to my live.co.uk email address, i was using the basic php mail() but found all emails are constantly going into junk folder which i rather it go into inbox so was told to use phpmailer
looking into phpmailer i get to the code which asks for smtp but I'm lost with this as I'm not sure what i should be putting for the host username and password as i want the website to send emails to a given email address , any advice on what i should be putting this and why would be great
Thank You
You don't need to use SMTP - you can use a local mail server and call isMail() instead of isSMTP() - though you don't even need to do that since it's the default. In the examples folder provided with PHPMailer, look at the one called mail.phps.

How to send Email to every host in scala play framework?

Right now, i am able to send my email to current host where i have declared in the scala code application.conf
smtp.host=apps.hubino.com, smtp.port=25
but i am unable to send my mail to other host like gmail and yahoo. Can anyone help me how to achieve sending mails to every host in scala.
I am sending email through google smtp server with these configuration.
smtp.host=smtp.gmail.com
smtp.port=465
smtp.ssl=yes
smtp.user=“********#gmail.com"
smtp.password=“**********"
This should work. Also if you make small changes in host and port you should be able to send email to any other smtp servers.
Which scala plugin you are using to send email? You can check MailerPlugin of Play or Courier plugin. Both are very simple to use.
And first time google will block sending email through you application as it is less secured so you need to make changes in your gmail account settings to allow sending email through less secure clients. This link can help you do that or else if you try to send email without making these setting you will received email from google saying securing 'Blocked sign-in attempt' which will contain URL to make changes in your account setting to allow sending email through api client.

How to set from mail address other than smtp authentication mail in java mail

I am specifying "FROM" address usinf setFrom() method, But i still receive mails having "FROM" address of SMTP authentication mail id. and want to set the "FROM" address dynamically. which keeps changing. What is the RFC282 standard to achieve this.
The solution from google is this
Gmail lets you send messages with another of your email addresses listed as the sender instead of your Gmail address. This feature helps you manage multiple accounts from the Gmail interface; it works only if you already own the email account linked to the alternate address
Select the Accounts and Import tab (or Accounts tab, if you're using Google Apps).
Under Send mail as, click Add another email address.
In the 'Email address' field, enter your name and alternate email address.
Choose one of two options:
Use Gmail's servers to send your mail (this is easier to set up)
Use your other email provider's SMTP servers (we recommend this option for professional mail accounts or domains). Note for Google Apps users: Depending on your domain2 type, this feature may be disabled by default. Talk to your administrator if you have any questions.
If you choose to use Gmail's servers:
Click Next Step >> and then click Send Verification. Gmail will send a verification message to your other email address to confirm that you own it.
Open your other account and either click the link in the message Gmail sent or enter the confirmation code in the Accounts section of your Gmail settings.

The overhead involved is that any new from address needs a alias to be set in Gamil authentication mail account. Its not suits for enterprise salable app.
Other solution is You can install a mail server (hmailServer). This server allows you to set the custom from address
If any body knows other solutions, please suggest me.
It's up to your mail server. Often mail servers will prevent you from using any From address other than your actual login name. This helps prevent spam. Depending on your mail server, there may be ways to convince it that you should be allowed to use other From addresses.
These are two different things that you are talking about:
The id that you are mentioning is part of smtp handshaking protocol which usually is mapped to "Return-path" field in mime-header.
Whereas the id that comes in "FROM" field which actually is displayed in mail-list is been appended by the mail server when u compose the mail.
So if you can modify the mime header then make sure that "FROM:" field contains the id that yuou want to set not the smtp authentication id.
btw its rfc822
Have worked for rediffmail technical team in order to develop and enhance smtp, pop and imap protocols
Its depends on your mail server and configuration setting

Send email from server without SMTP enabled

I have written a couple of web sites that contain a "contact us" form.
However, our host recently switched SMTP off. Their excuse is "security issues".
The solution they offer is that they implemented rules whereby all mail generated from the platforms must be sent using the sendmail/phpmail functions and pass through a mail relay which checks the mails and their content and ensures malicious content and activity is completely blocked and they recommend I use "A virtual or dedicated solution".
I have no idea what it is they want me to do to get emailing working again and this is quite urgent as many clients are not getting their emails.
Is there an easy way to go around this in order to get emailing working again?
Many thanks in advance
It generally means that you will have to specify the new mail server they are providing instead of localhost in your code. Further, earlier, you were able to send the mail without authenticating but now on, you must have an account and you must authenticate before you send the mail. (I am not sure though, may be they allow relay to their own servers and you might not need authentication).
Go to the control panel of your hosting account and check for the mail panel. Check out the new smtp server name there and code your site to use this smtp server with credentials. This will let you send mail again.

Development SMTP Server

I need a cross platform (at least windows and mac) development utility that runs as an SMTP server that acts as an SMTP server but will redirect all mail to a single address that's configurable. It would also be helpful if it wrote the contents out to a file or gui. Long ago I configured Apache James to do this but it wasn't that straight forward to figure out. Hoping there's something really simple out there.
I need the emails to be forwarded (to the single address) so I can see how they are rendered on different clients (gmail, outlook, etc.)
Thanks! -Mike
We used Mailtrap for this. It give you remote smtp server account and direct access to all mails in it. So you just enter given smtp credential in your application and after that all email sent by your system will be visible on mailtrap.
On mailtrap you can have as many smtp account as you want( different account for different application environments, or different application) Also you can manage access to your account ( so only trusted people will se your emails) and you can forward some emails to real email addresses.
It doesn't do the forwarding you are looking for, but for most of my testing I make use of fakemail (http://www.lastcraft.com/fakemail.php) it's simply a script that listens on a port an acts as an smtp server, writing any incoming mail to a directory.
You could use Python's smtpd library and override the process_message function to only send to the desired address -- i.e. replace the "to" field with your desired constant email address.
Here's a page with some examples of using smtpd (with asyncore) to actually send out mail.
