TFS workspace with a new user account with same user ID - version-control

My user account was removed, but I still needed it. So a new user account was created with the same ID and a different display name.
When I open Dynamics AX 2012, I always receive the message that a workspace is already used by my old user account:
The working folder is already in use by old_user workspace_xxx.
So I can't use TFS version control.

I solved this by giving the old workspace a new owner, my new user account, with the following command:
tf workspace /collection:http://tfs.yourtfslink.com:8080/tfs/DefaultCollection
yourWorkSpace;"old_user" /newowner:"new_user"

I can't switch github accounts in visual studio code terminal

I was logged previously on different account and then successfully logged out of github and logged in to my main account.
But the problem is: when I set up origin, branch, etc it pushes the commits using the credentials that I was logged in as previously.
I tried removing credentials in control panel a few times, restarting the PC and using commands to set github username and github email so they correspond to my main account. Unfortunately, it didn't work.
Every time when I remove the credentials, a windows pops up after the command git push -u origin main
Then I log in to my main account and push some changes, but the commits are not credited to my main account (which it's supposed to be), but instead commits are shown as having been done by the account that I was previously logged in to.
But the commits are not credited to my main account
"Main account" is about authentication (the username/password you enter in the credentials popup)
"commits are about authorship (see the output of git config user.name/git config user.email)
If it a local configuration of your repository (in myrepo/.git/config) that you will find the user name/email used when you create new commits.

DevOps Organization disappeared after linking to Azure Active Directory

I created a number of organizations in Azure DevOps to experiment with.
They were all visible under existing Microsoft accounts (subscription accounts).
Then I created an Active Directory and linked one of the organizations to the newly-created directory.
After signoff and signon, the organization can no longer be found.
When I select the new directory in DevOps, there is only a default organization without my test project.
When I tried the same with another organization, this one also disappeared.
Where did my DevOps organization go?
And how can I get them back?
You can try the following two ways to see if the organizations can be displayed.
1.Please try to access https://aex.dev.azure.com/ and change domain to see if your organization lists here.
2.Sign out completely from Azure DevOps by completing the following steps. Closing your browser might not sign you out completely. Sign in again and select your other identity:
Close all browsers, including browsers that aren't running Azure
DevOps.
Open a private or incognito browsing session.
Go to this URL: https://aka.ms/vssignout.
You see a message that says, "Sign out in progress." After you sign
out, you're redirected to the Azure DevOps #dev.azure.microsoft.com
webpage. If the sign-out page takes more than a minute to sign you out, close the browser and continue.
Sign in to Azure DevOps again. Select your other identity.
I had a similar issue when I previously logged in using "Personal" account, created organisation, and when logged out and logged in again selected "Work or Department" account, so I wasn't able to see my organisations because they were created and visible only on "Personal" account 'plan'.

VSTS: add domain user that is not in Azure Active Directory

I am trying to add a user into our VSTS. This user is a domain account on the company's Azure AD, which is connected to VSTS. The user does not show up in the directory. I imagine they no longer are with the company. However, I am trying to add them so that I can use git-tf to import a repository in TFVC format and use the --keep-author argument.
How can I add this user to VSTS and if I cannot, how should I proceed? I suppose I could create a nondomain email and map this user in the git-tf USERMAP file, but I'm not sure of the best course of action here.
Update: the git-tf mapping is not always working for me. I have added many users from the source repository but only some of them moved to the [mapped] section. Several are still in [unmapped] and one user I cannot add to VSTS because I believe it is a deactivated/deleted Azure AD account, so the add user process fails, saying "Aad guest invitation failed".
Thanks for your help!
You can add guest user to AD in azure portal.

Rename alias in jazzhub

I want to change https://hub.jazz.net/project/user1 to https://hub.jazz.net/project/user2 ... i.e. just change the name from user1 to user2.
I have checked update profile section and it allows update to a lot of fields but not profile id (i.e. user1).
I am not looking at changing ownership since Bluemix id is same ... just renaming user1 to user2.
Aliases are permanent and cannot be changed. However, you can create another alias and link to it from your DevOps Services account.
Create a new alias:
Log in to DevOps Services, click the Profile Settings icon, and
click Profile.
On your profile page, click EDIT PROFILE.
Click PERSONAL INFORMATION and change your email address to another email address that is not associated with your IBM id. Note:To verify which email address is associated with your IBM id, click here.
Unlink your email address:
Log in to DevOps Services by using your IBM id.
Go to the Unlink your Jazz ID and IBM id page and click Unlink Accounts.
After your accounts are unlinked, log out of DevOps Services.
Associate your new alias with your IBM id:
Log in to DevOps Services by using your IBM id.
Enter your new alias, accept the DevOps Services terms of use, and click Finish.
On the Success page, click Continue. Then, click the Profile Settings icon and click Profile.
Verify that your new alias is listed with your name.

cpanel full account restoration without whm access

Is there anyway we can restore a complete (or partial, but with the email settings intact) cpanel backup to a new account without the help of WHM?.
I have two reseller accounts - shared (hostgator). Have already downloaded the entire files (/ssl, /ftp, /mail, /public_html etc. ) using FTP from account 1.
Also created an account in 2nd hosting package with the same domain, username and password. Will it work if I upload all the files to the new server?.
Please note: I dont have root access also.
Yes, You can restore your account files through "Backup Wizard" feature. With this feature you can restore your partial backup zip file(s).
Please check it : https://documentation.cpanel.net/display/ALD/Backup+Wizard#BackupWizard-PartialBackup
