No, there isn't. Wine depends on the xorg libraries.
Wine automatically activates a "null" driver, whenever x11driver isn't loaded.
But the "null" driver will only work for pure console applications.
In other words: install xorg libs and then try some console backends:
wine (bare linux console)
wineconsole --backend=curses (curses linux console)
wineconsole --backend=user (win32 window)

How to fix 'Unable to open file' when uploading to STM32 in TrueStudio

I am attempting to upload my written program for the STM32F411RE from my TrueStudio for STM32 IDE to the board itself. The board is connected via the mini USB b cable and the intent is to program it via SWD.
Setup
Atollic provides a nice tutorial on how to perform this programming via it's TrueStudio IDE and the ST-Link_CLI (Command Line Interface), as described in the document at this link. This requires the following steps, which I have followed and checked multiple times:
First and foremost the output (binary) file needs to be an intel .HEX and
not the TrueStudio .elf default. To change this go to Project properties -> c/c++ build -> settings -> tool settings tab -> other -> Output format
and tick the option 'Convert build output', ensure that the Intel Hex
option is selected in the dropdown.
To call the ST-Link_CLI from inside the IDE requires making an external
tools configuration. To make this config I go to Run -> External Tools ->
External Tools Configurations .... and create a new configuration, lets
call it ST-Link_CLI. For the Working Directory I specify the directory of my ST-LINK_CLI
(C:\Program Files (x86)\STMicroelectronics\STM32 ST-LINK Utility\ST-LINK Utility)
whilst for the Location I specify this directory and the file name
(C:\Program Files (x86)\STMicroelectronics\STM32 ST-LINK Utility\ST-LINK
Utility\ST-LINK_CLI.exe).
Lastly, I add the following parameters to
identify the STM32 board, have it connect via SWD and under reset, whilst
telling it to upload the .HEX file built by TrueStudio
(-c ID=0 SWD UR LPM -P ${project_loc}\Debug\${project_name}.hex -v).

When I then call this external tool configuration via the Run -> External Tools -> ST-Link_CLI link just created I get the output listed below:

Clearly the ST-Link_CLI is succesfully called from inside the IDE, but it somehow cannot digest the .hex file (inside the debug folder) and upload it to the STM32 board.
Even flashing a completely new generated project from CubeMX and setting the options above (including setting it to a .hex file) will not let this toolchain upload it to the board.

I have been able to succesfully upload the .HEX file built by TrueStudio via manually uploading it to the STM32 Board with the use of the ST-Link GUI, so I do not think the problem is in the ST-Link itself. I cannot however debug it in this manner, since I need the TrueStudio IDE tools for that and thus need the external tool configuration to work succesfully.
Instead I suspect the issue lies with my own setup, where is somehow is missing a call or has an option set incorrectly. It could also be that the GUI and CLI clients operate in a completely different fashion allowing one to read and upload the file whilst the other cannot, but that seems unreasonable to me.
I am kind of at a loss here however, as I cannot seem to figure out why others can make this work via the provided Atollic documentation and mine is throwing up these errors.

This knowledge (how to configure external tools etc) is rather useless in 99.9999% of circumstances. It is only the configuration of the Eclipse. Not too complex actually needed here.
In regards to my own code, I have not been able to get the ST-Link_CLI to work as an external tool the way I intended, [but I have been able to get the STCubeProgrammer (CLI) to work in the same respective manner as I was attempting to do with the ST-Link].(http://gotland.atollic.com/resources/applicationnotes/AN1801_cubeprogrammer_in_truestudio.pdf).
Seeing as I literally used the same procedure as before but instead specifying the location and executable for the STCubeProgrammer (rather than the ST-Link), I suspect the issue may indeed be the ST-Link CLI (connection to TrueStudio).
It now uploads successfully and immediately after boots me into the debug environment of TrueStudio :)
I simply commented "load" command in the startup script and debugging worked. I only had to load the hex using the st link first.

Matlab standalone app that was compiled using Guide and deploy tool does not work as designed when deployed

I am not sure if this info helps, but my GUI tool has text boxes for user input, push buttons, drop downs, and an axes to show histogram plot.
The deployment machine is a Windows 7 64 bit. The MCR is installed without any issues (using mcr file packaged with the GUI). The GUI opens in deployed machine. However it does not function properly. Just gives beep sound when using any functionality like pressing a button, no error messages are shown.
I ran the exe file through the dependency walker, and it shows the following errors:

I'm suspecting that some matlab routines used in your buttons were not embedded during compilation (and the beep corresponding to "warning, error in gui callback function "lalala" is undefined).
NB: I don't think there is any issue for missing dll in dependency walker ... else your exe would not run at all and would wrote "Failed to load module".
You are likely missing the Visual Studio redistributable package. Download and install it on the deployed machine.

DFS locations in Eclipse Europa after accessing Hadoop in a VM

I am very new to hadoop. I need to install it and play around with samples.
SO i referred this tutorial . I have installed Sandbox given in that tutorial. I need to configure ECLIPSE in windows mentioning VM location as specified in the image below, which is given in the tutorial.
I have installed eclipse europa and hadoop plugin.
Then in Map/Reduce Locations i gave VM Ip for host name, Linux user name in UserName and 9001 in Map/Reduce port and 9000 in DFS port.
In Advanced Tab I have set value to the mapred.system.dir as /hadoop/mapred/system
and there is no hadoop.job.ugi to give username.
After i click ok, I couldn't get HDFS file system under my DFS locations in ECLIPSE.
Please help me on this
I also got the same problem. The problem here is not related to hadoop configuration but eclipse. To fix this, go to "\workspace\.metadata\.plugins\org.apache.hadoop.eclipse\locations". Here open the XML file and just add the property "hadoop.job.ugi" with value "hadoop-user,ABC" and then restart your eclipse. It worked for me.
I tried by giving just one value i.e. without ABC but it dint work and I dont know the significance of this comma separated value but since I have just started the tutorial I hope to get this answer soon :)
I too ran into the same issue. I installed RedHad cgywin (openssh and openssl packages) and updated the "Path" environment variable with a path to cgywin/bin (c:\rhcygwin\bin). Then my Eclipse DFS location was able to connect to Hadoop on the Virtual Machine. Once that was successful I saw the option "hadoop.job.ugi".

Note: I am running the Hadoop VM on Windows Vista.
I spawned Eclipse from within Cygwin and it worked fine for me (i.e. I could see the "hadoop.job.ugi" parameter). Also, I didn't make any changes to my PATH environment variable.

How can I set up Eclipse/Selenium to run scripts on other browsers on a Mac?

Im new to Macs and Im having issues trying to run scripts on any browser, let alone IE or Chrome. Here is what Ive done so far:
Installed the latest versions of Eclipse, Selenium standalone server and Selenium IDE
Installed TestNG framework for Eclipse
Installed Selenium web driver and the JAVA libraries
So far all I can do is just run the test scripts Ive created on FF12.
I have created some test scripts on FF12 using Selenium IDE, then exported them to Eclipse with TestNG and when I try to run them I get this error message "Please add the directory containing ''firefox-bin' or 'firefox'' to your PATH environment"
I have a feeling im missing a lot of steps to properly configure Eclipse & Selenium to run scripts on other browsers (ideally IE9 and the latest version of Chrome). And if thats not bad enough, im using a MacBook Pro (Ive been a PC person all my life). Please be gentle and any advice that I can get would be highly appreciated. Thanks
Short answer
Seems like your firefox executable in not in the system path or in the default location. There are multiple ways to fix this
1.Set the firefox binary path in code
You need to set the webdriver.firefox.bin property. In java you can do this by using the following code:
FirefoxProfile profile = new FirefoxProfile();
WebDriver driver = new FirefoxDriver(new FirefoxBinary(new File("path/to/your/firefox.exe")), profile);
2.Find where your firefox is installed and update that path in your path variable
export PATH=/my/firefox/path/bin:$PATH
3.Specify webdriver.firefox.bin as a system property when you start selenium server.
java -jar seleniumserver.jar -D webdriver.firefox.bin = "/path/to/firefox-bin
Once you do one of the above, your issue should be resolved.

Per FirefoxDriver javadoc -

webdriver.firefox.bin - Which firefox binary to use (normally
"firefox" on the PATH).
webdriver.firefox.profile - The name of the
profile to use (normally "WebDriver").
Here, webdriver.firefox.bin determines the path of firefox.exe (in windows) or firefox (in mac).
Usually, when you install firefox in your machine the path to firefox file gets added to the path variable. This will allow the user to call firefox from any place.
Webdriver will look for this firefox executable in the path variable and then in the default location. From selenium code, this default path is defined as given below:

If your firefox file is not available in /Contents/MacOS/firefox-bin then webdriver will not know where to find it. Hence the failure.

New to Mono - help setting search path?

Running Ubuntu Oneric 11.10 with 1 GB RAM and 250 GB HDD Dell Inspiron Laptop.
I got some demo code from a tutorial to read XML. When I compile it, I get this message:
"The type or namespace name '.Xml' does not exist in the namespace 'System'. Are you missing an assembly reference?" (using System.Xml;)
I have the library in this path: /usr/lib/mono/gac/System.Xml/4.0.0.0_b77a5c561934e089/System.Xml.dll
Are you using MonoDevelop to build your application? If so, make sure that there is a reference to System.Xml in your project.
In case you are hardcore enough to "manually" use dmcs to build your application (or you are using a Makefile or some other automated build process), make sure you pass /r:/usr/lib/mono/4.0/System.Xml.dll as one of the arguments to your dmcs build command.
Only for didatic purposes, here is the references editing option in MonoDevelop, in which you should choose to add a reference:
Note: your distro could have installed System.Xml.dll in another path, so please verify.
Your monodoc problem is an entirely different issue and probably means either a directory or file is missing from the installed docs or there is a bug in monodoc entirely
