This is the first time I've encounter this error.
Already re-install the crystal report, open in other machine but still I can't open the file.
Currently using Crystal Reports 10.

I use Crystal Reports XI (11.5.12.1838) and windows 7 ;
I can open all the crystal report files except 1 report,I get error message
Crystal Report has stopped working
A problem caused the program to stop working correctly.
Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available"
I tried to
Reboot my PC .
Checked the Datasource and ODBC connection, all work fine.
3.in Crystal Report properties set the compatiblity mode to XP.
Unchecked the save the report with data in crystal report properties
but it still didn't help.
My other colleague can open the report on which I get error and they are using XP
If he is on XP and it works for him while it crashes for you on Windows 7, I would suspect that you need to update your CR XI to the latest service pack from SAP. But since it's only a single report that is giving you grief it may not have anything to do with that. If it is not a very complex report, try recreating it or create a test report that is using the same data connection.
If it works for him and not for you, check to make sure you have the drivers for the right version.
Someone might have put the 32 bit drivers on a 64 bit version on windows 7.
I have a couple reports I inherited that needed updating to our new database structure. I have those changes done, but when I try to preview two of the reports using SQL Server Report Builder 3.0 it gives me the following error message:
Failed to preview report

The other reports that I have already fixed work perfectly fine when previewing. This same error also shows up when I try to upload it to the Report Server. All of this is running off my Windows 7 x64 machine.
I'm thinking that this report is corrupted, but I don't want to have to rebuild it from scratch if that isn't the case. Any help would be much appreciated.
I believe the problem is with the header (and thus the namespace). Create or look at a working report, then compare the header (which indicates the XML version). If they are different, replace the header from the report that doesn't work with the one that works.
I have had this error a few times and it's so annoying but I am going to say I spent hours searching the web because I didn't want to recreate the report.
But in the end found nothing and had to recreate the report anyway.
Don't waste your time looking for a fix it is corrupt.
We have developed reports using jasper and all was ok when we developed it.
On my laptop I am able to print the report just fine this is where I ran the server and tested it.
However when I uploaded it to my ubuntu server and users try to access the same report we get an error.
"2
No such file or directory
(<type 'exceptions.OSError'>, OSError(2, 'No such file or directory'), <traceback object
at 0x7f63b8485ab8>) "
Its been two days and we are stuck. Please advice what must be wrong.
I am not sure what is wrong here.
Thank you
Vishal
So the way I solved it was by installing open jdk. As jasper is a java file it needs the compiler and the server did not have this.
We have an application written in VB.NET 2003 which has built in Crystal reports. When we install the application on Windows 2008 server
we get the following error while trying to open crystal report in excel format
Error is : Error in File :"....rpt" Error detected by export DLL.
The report opens up fine in PDF on server
Opeing report in Excel works fine on my local(development) machine...But this error is thrown on server...
Kindly help me resolve this issue and how to fix it?..
You have to download the patch crnet11win from businessobjects.com
I'm using Crystal Reports 9.0. It has a subreport which is shared by 2 master reports. I modified the subreport as a result of fixing one of the master reports. When I try to re-import that subreport into my 2nd Master report I'm getting the error: Access denied then Re-importing the subreport failed.
Does anyone know what the problem might be? The 2 master reports and subreport are all "checked" out so it's not a ready only issue. Also when I first say re-import it tells me the file could not be found (pointing to a long dead file path) and I'm required to select it.
Do you have both the master reports open at the same time?
If so maybe closing the one you already refreshed, and trying it again. It seems like it has a lock on it for some reason.
