Installing custom fonts on Scratch - mit-scratch

I for my project require to install a custom font for my program but cannot find the directory to install a new font. Where would I find it?
I have looked everywhere including the recycle bin

Assuming you are referring to Scratch 2, as Scratch 1.4 supports all fonts that are on your computer:
You cannot install a custom font into the Scratch 2 editor. However, you can do the next best thing; import the text. If you need the font in Vector mode (you probably should), you can use an SVG editor such as Inkscape to import the text with 100% quality, as if you had imported the font.
Make the text using the font tool. The positioning doesn't matter, we'll do that later.
Select the text.
Convert it to a path. In Inkscape, click on Path -> Object to Path or use Ctrl+Shift+C to do this. Other vector editors might will be different.
Save as SVG.
In Scratch, import the SVG file as a costume, or into an existing costume.
Move it into position, as you would any other text.
Done.

You cannot install a custom font into the Scratch editor. You'll need to use some graphic software like GIMP to make the words you need, then import the images.

Prettier indentation settings - HTML tree structure is too narrow

im trying to make wider spaces between HTML parent and child elements. I tried with many settings but my tree is still super unreadable. I can't see what exactly each div contains.

You're using a variable-width font. Spaces in variable-width fonts are often much thinner than other glyphs/characters. The image of what you want is using a monospace font (where every glyph/character has the same width). Use the editor.fontFamily setting in the settings.json file. You'll need to consult your OS / Desktop environment to see what fonts you have installed for selection. If there's one you want and don't have, you'll need to install it.

Flutter - Deformed/overflowing custom icons using FlutterIcon.com

I have a few custom icons (11 to be exact) that I added to my project using Flutter Icon. For most of these icons, everything is working as expected:
However, some of them just overflow out of their intended size, or are given a wrong size. No idea what the problem is, but here is how it looks like:
as you can see, the right side of the infinity loop is just hanging outside of its intended container (button). Also, if I try to be hacky and resize only the infinity icon, it appears to be offsetted to the right.
I can be hacky and create a custom size for the couple of troublesome icons, but I would like to know if there is something that I, or my designer (also me) can do to fix this properly.
Already Tried:
Converting to compound path.
Removing unnecessary tags such as <style> tags.
Using flutter_svg package. This works okay, but it seems to be less performant that the Flutter Icon method. My app has quite a few animations running at the same time, and animating a SvgPicture is a little bit janky.
So I haven't been able to find out why the problem is happening, but I found out how to fix it.
After uploading your custom icons' svg's into FlutterIcon you'll download a .zip file. This file contains a bunch of files, including a .ttf file, which is a font file that contains your icons. You will need to manipulate the symbols/icons in that file in order to fix the issue.
To modify the faulty symbols, you will need to download some font editing application. FontForge does the trick. Download it and open the .ttf file you got from FlutterIcon from it. Once you have it open, you'll see a window full of squares with Xs in them. These are the font's glyphs.
You now need to find the glyphs with your icons. To save yourself from a LOT of scrolling, you can go to Encoding -> Compact from the toolbar. This will hide all unused (empty) glyphs. You should now be able to see all your icons. You should have something like this:
Right click the symbol you want to fix, and click Transform.... You will then be prompted with a menu that will let you transform the symbol in anyway you want. Apply transforms on all your faulty icons until you are satisfied. Transform window looks like this:
Once you have finish all your modifications, got to File -> Generate Font.... Select the destination folder and the file name (make sure it has the same name as the .ttf file generated from FlutterIcons). Also make sure you the TrueType file type from the first dropdown menu:
Once you're done, click generate, and voila! Now you have the .ttf file with the correctly-shaped icons. If you still find that something is wrong with the icons, you can rinse and repeat this process until you're satisfied with the result.

Is there any way to change the size of icons (vim-devicons) without changing the font-size?

I've installed NERDTree and vim-devicons plugins for customizing my workspace and I find that size of icons is too small, so I wanted to make them bigger without changing font-size (current font-size comfortable for me).
I've tried to find solution on original documentation, read forums etc. Also I tried to find some special Nerd Font that will have bigger icons size but unfortunately everything was unsuccessful.

I'm using Windows PowerShell as my terminal and neovim as my editor.
I would be grateful if someone could explain to me how to solve my problem or tell another way (or may be another plugins) to add icons and files tree to vim.
Those icons are just text and you can only have one font and font size for the whole terminal emulator's window. Therefore, you can't adjust their size separately from the rest of the text.

Change default font in netbeans?

Is it possible to change the default font in netbeans? The documentation says:
The font Monospaced is maped to different fonts on different systems.
On Windows it is mapped to "Courier ", on Linux it is mapped to
"Lucida Typewriter".

I'm on windows and want to map Monospaced font to 'Consolas' instead of 'Courier'.
P.S. I know that fonts can easily be changed from options, but when I change it in this way, I can no longer use unicode characters. Guess I need to do what they call 'mapping' the monospaced font to other font.
Tools > Options > Fonts and Colors
Set the category "Default", and to the right of that, the font you want to use.
If this does not fix it, try adding:
--laf Nimbus -J-Dswing.aatext=true -J-Dawt.useSystemAAFontSettings=lcd
or
-J-Dswing.aatext=true -J-Dawt.useSystemAAFontSettings=lcd --laf Metal
to the file : netbeans.conf. You can find it in $NETBEANS_HOME/etc/ folder. Make your application font smaller from system preferences.
To change the font size outside of the editor you can configure by editing the Net Beans conf file, you can find it here:
C:\Program Files\NetBeans 8.0.2\etc\netbeans.conf
Then edit this line:
netbeans_default_options="..."
by adding this at the end:
--fontsize 18

Life becomes more easier now. Just from Tools menu choose Options and then follow steps on the following screen shot and take care with step 3 and 4 which they are making the default font for all languages:

also don't not forget to change the font to the one that support Arabic like Arial for example i am not sure of some one mention that i just tried it
As far as I can tell there's no way to do this. jEdit (http://jedit.org) also uses Swing and DOES do font substitution for all fonts - there's a "automatic font substitution" checkbox in Global Options > Text Area, along with a list of preferred fonts. But jEdit is otherwise not as capable as Netbeans.

Change order of images in icon file

Is there an app that can change the order of images inside an icon?

What you'll need to do that is a resource editor. A google search will reveal many free ones out there. The restorator is a great one, but not free and over-priced IMO.
Any decent resource editor will allow you to see icons in the exe or dll and save them or replace them. I don't know of any that will allow you to reorder them, but just about any out there would allow you to save the icons out and then replace them back in the exe/dll in whatever order you'd like.
The only resource editor I know of that will allow you to re-order the embedded icons including png compressed vista icons is Resource Tuner Console.
You can change the image order using Pixelformer (an icon/bitmap editor). Import the icon, reorder the images as you wish, then export it back.
Using a resource editor is not an easy way to do this because you have to edit both ICON and ICON GROUP and I tried to do this with Resource Hacker and could not do it.
I found Easy Icon Maker is able to rearrange the order of the icons properly... it's the only icon editor that I found with this option, and I tried about half a dozen. The editor itself is not nearly as good as IcoFX (http://portableapps.com/apps/graphics_pictures/icofx_portable)
Why would you want to do this? Well there are certain times when Windows will use the first icon file that matches the size, but this may not be the color-depth that you want... for instance if you are on an older machine like Windows 2000 that doesn't support Alpha Channels then putting these at the beginning of your ICO file will cause Windows 2000 to try to render it so it results in black dots all over the image.
