JavaFX Using Netbeans Template Javfx FML Application - netbeans

I thing it is a very silly question but I don't manage to to this. If you made a FXML-Template Project with Java, you got automatically three files. The view in XML, the controller and the start file in java.
I want to use the scene in the controller class but I don't know how to make a reference to do this.
Here is my example:
public class CatchTheScene extends Application {
private Scene scene;
private Parent root;
#Override
public void start(Stage stage) throws Exception {
root = FXMLLoader.load(getClass().getResource("FXMLDocument.fxml"));
FXMLDocumentController controller = new FXMLDocumentController(this);
scene = new Scene(root);
stage.setScene(scene);
stage.show();
}
/**
* #param args the command line arguments
*/
public static void main(String[] args) {
launch(args);
}
/**
* #return the scene
*/
public Scene getScene() {
return scene;
}
/**
* #param scene the scene to set
*/
public void setScene(Scene scene) {
this.scene = scene;
}
}
public class FXMLDocumentController implements Initializable {
private CatchTheScene c;
#FXML
private Label label;
#FXML
private Button button;
#FXML
private AnchorPane root;
#FXML
private void handleButtonAction(ActionEvent event) {
System.out.println("You clicked me!");
label.setText("Hello World!");
}
public FXMLDocumentController(CatchTheScene c)
{
this.c = c;
}
#Override
public void initialize(URL url, ResourceBundle rb) {
// TODO
c.getScene().addEventHandler(MouseEvent.MOUSE_CLICKED, new EventHandler<MouseEvent>(){
#Override
public void handle(MouseEvent event) {
System.out.println("I am the scene and have been clicked");
}
});
}
}

I solved it now. First I gave in the Scene Builder a Code FX:ID named root to the root pane.
root is in the controller an object and I registered on root an EventListener.`
#FXML
private Canvas canvas;
#FXML
private AnchorPane root;
root.setOnKeyPressed(new EventHandler<KeyEvent>() {
#Override
public void handle(KeyEvent e) {
if (e.getCode() == KeyCode.LEFT) {
clownfish.setDx(-10);
clownfish.moveLeft();
}
if (e.getCode() == KeyCode.RIGHT) {
clownfish.setDx(-10);
clownfish.moveRight();
}
if (e.getCode() == KeyCode.UP) {
clownfish.setDy(-10);
clownfish.moveUp();
}
if (e.getCode() == KeyCode.DOWN) {
clownfish.setDy(-10);
clownfish.moveDown();
}
}
});

How to convert Firebase child name into date and time

I have a basic app that has RecyclerView for getting data from a Firebase database, which looks like this:
I would like to have the 20170108_100 converted into data and time format (08/01/2017 10:00), which can then be compared to the actual date.
I'm planning to have some IF conditions in order to sort the database by date&time and I need to have something like this:
if (20170108_100 < CurrentDate&Time) then doSomething else doSomethingElse
Is there any way one can do that?
So far, I have this code that reads that database:
public class Hotarari extends Fragment {
View v;
ProgressDialog progress;
private FirebaseRecyclerAdapter < Variabile_primarie, ContactViewHolder > cc;
private RecyclerView mContactRV;
private DatabaseReference mPostRef;
#Nullable
#Override
public View onCreateView(LayoutInflater inflater, #Nullable ViewGroup container, Bundle savedInstanceState) {
v = inflater.inflate(R.layout.fragment_hotarari, container, false);
return v;
}
#Override
public void onViewCreated(View view, #Nullable Bundle savedInstanceState) {
super.onViewCreated(view, savedInstanceState);
this.v = view;
initialiseScreen();
}
private void initialiseScreen() {
mContactRV = (RecyclerView) v.findViewById(R.id.contact_recyclerview);
mContactRV.setLayoutManager(new LinearLayoutManager(getContext()));
mPostRef = FirebaseDatabase.getInstance().getReference("-DeciziiPrimari");
setupAdaptater();
mContactRV.setAdapter(cc);
}
private void setupAdaptater() {
cc = new FirebaseRecyclerAdapter < Variabile_primarie, ContactViewHolder > (
Variabile_primarie.class,
R.layout.item_hotarari,
ContactViewHolder.class,
mPostRef
) {
#Override
protected void populateViewHolder(ContactViewHolder viewHolder, final Variabile_primarie model, int position) {
viewHolder.setData(model.getData());
viewHolder.setNumar(model.getNumar());
viewHolder.setHotarare(model.getHotarare());
}
};
}
public static class ContactViewHolder extends RecyclerView.ViewHolder {
private TextView tv_hotarare;
private TextView tv_data;
private TextView tv_numar;
public ContactViewHolder(View itemView) {
super(itemView);
tv_hotarare = (TextView) itemView.findViewById(R.id.continut_hotarare);
tv_data = (TextView) itemView.findViewById(R.id.data_hotarare);
tv_numar = (TextView) itemView.findViewById(R.id.numar_hotarare);
}
void setHotarare(String hotarare) {
tv_hotarare.setText(String.valueOf(hotarare));
}
public void setData(String data) {
tv_data.setText(String.valueOf(data));
}
void setNumar(String numar) {
tv_numar.setText(String.valueOf(numar));
}
}
}

Launch JavaFX application from another class

I need to start a javafx Application from another "container" class and call functions on the Application, but there doesn't seem to be any way of getting hold of a reference to the Application started using the Application.launch() method. Is this possible?
Thanks
Suppose this is our JavaFX class:
import javafx.application.Application;
import javafx.scene.Scene;
import javafx.scene.control.Button;
import javafx.stage.Stage;
public class OKButton extends Application {
#Override
public void start(Stage stage) {
Button btn = new Button("OK");
Scene scene = new Scene(btn, 200, 250);
stage.setTitle("OK");
stage.setScene(scene);
stage.show();
}
}
Then we may launch it from another class like this:
import javafx.application.Application;
public class Main {
public static void main(String[] args) {
Application.launch(OKButton.class, args);
}
}
I had the same problem as this and got round it using this hack:
import javafx.application.Application;
import javafx.scene.Scene;
import javafx.scene.control.Label;
import javafx.scene.layout.BorderPane;
import javafx.stage.Stage;
import java.util.concurrent.CountDownLatch;
public class StartUpTest extends Application {
public static final CountDownLatch latch = new CountDownLatch(1);
public static StartUpTest startUpTest = null;
public static StartUpTest waitForStartUpTest() {
try {
latch.await();
} catch (InterruptedException e) {
e.printStackTrace();
}
return startUpTest;
}
public static void setStartUpTest(StartUpTest startUpTest0) {
startUpTest = startUpTest0;
latch.countDown();
}
public StartUpTest() {
setStartUpTest(this);
}
public void printSomething() {
System.out.println("You called a method on the application");
}
#Override
public void start(Stage stage) throws Exception {
BorderPane pane = new BorderPane();
Scene scene = new Scene(pane, 500, 500);
stage.setScene(scene);
Label label = new Label("Hello");
pane.setCenter(label);
stage.show();
}
public static void main(String[] args) {
Application.launch(args);
}
}
and then the class you are launching the application from:
public class StartUpStartUpTest {
public static void main(String[] args) {
new Thread() {
#Override
public void run() {
javafx.application.Application.launch(StartUpTest.class);
}
}.start();
StartUpTest startUpTest = StartUpTest.waitForStartUpTest();
startUpTest.printSomething();
}
}
Hope that helps you.
Launch JavaFX in other Class using Button:
class Main extends Application{
public void start(Stage s)throws Exception{
event();
s.show();
}
public void event(){
btn.setOnAction(new EventHandler<ActionEvent>(){
public void handle(ActionEvent ae){
Stage s = new Stage();
new SubClassName().start(s);
}
});
}
public static void main(String[] args) {
launch(args);
}
}
class SubClassName{
public void start(Stage s){
Pane pane = new Pane();
Scene addFrame = new Scene(pane,280,450);
s.setScene(addFrame);
s.show();
}
}
I'm not sure what you're trying to achieve, but note that you can e.g call from another class Application.launch to start the JavaFX Application thread and Platform.exit to stop it.
The above ways of invoking other javafx class from another sometimes work. Struggling to find an ultimate way to do this brought me to the following walk around:
Suppose this is the javafx class that exteds Application we wish to show from a different class, then we should add the following lines
class ClassToCall extends Application{
//Create a class field of type Shape preferably static...
static Stage classStage = new Stage();
#Override
public void start(Stage primaryStage){
// Assign the class's stage object to
// the method's local Stage object:
classStage = primaryStage ;
// Here comes some more code that creates a nice GUI.....
// ......
}
}
And now from the other place in the project, in order to open the window
that the above class creates do the following:
// Suppose we want to do it with a button clicked:
btn1.setOnAction(new EventHandler<ActionEvent>() {
#Override
public void handle(ActionEvent event) {
//create an object of the class you wish to invoke its
//start() method:
ClassToCall ctc = new ClassToCall();
// Then call its start() method in the following way:
ctc.start(ClassToCall.classStage);
}// End handle(ActionEvent event)
});// End anonymous class

refresh listView by clicking outside of it

I have a viewpager with an adapter that extends FragmentStatePagerAdapter, this has to show some fragment that always repeats the same layout (in whic there is a listView) for every page ... now the problem is how can I update the listView that is currently visible by clicking on a button that is outside of the Fragment? I can refresh only the ones that are in the not visible pages,but not the ones that are displayed or adjacent...
One possible solution is to reset the adapter, but it doesn't seems to be right one, because it' s slow... could you please help me?
public class MainActivity extends FragmentActivity implements OnClickListener{
#Override
protected void onCreate(Bundle arg0) {
// TODO Auto-generated method stub
super.onCreate(arg0);
setContentView(R.layout.layout1);
pagerAdapter = new AdapterPager(getSupportFragmentManager());
ctx=this;
mViewPager = (ViewPager) findViewById(R.id.pager);
mViewPager.setAdapter(pagerAdapter);
pagerTab=(PagerTabStrip) findViewById(R.id.pager_tab_strip);
mViewPager.setCurrentItem(paginaCentrale);
modifica=(ImageView)findViewById(R.id.modifica);
modifica.setOnClickListener(this);
}
#Override
public void onClick(View arg0) {
// TODO onClick
switch (arg0.getId()){
case R.id.modifica:
//here I would like to call the method caricaLista() of the fragment
break;
}
}
public static class AdapterPager extends FragmentStatePagerAdapter {
public AdapterPager(FragmentManager fm) {
super(fm);
}
#Override
public int getItemPosition(Object object) {
// TODO Auto-generated method stub
return super.getItemPosition(object);
}
#Override
public Fragment getItem(int i) {
Fragment fragment;
Bundle args = new Bundle();
args.putInt("position", i);
fragment=new Fragment1();
fragment.setArguments(args);
return fragment;
}
#Override
public int getCount() {
return 1000;}
#Override
public CharSequence getPageTitle(int i) {
String title=String.valueOf(i);
return title;
}
}
public static class Fragment1 extends Fragment implements OnItemClickListener{
int fragmentPosition;
ListView lv;
List<Lista> lista= new ArrayList<Lista>();
public Fragment1(){
}
public static Fragment1 newInstance(){
return new Fragment1();
}
#Override
public void onResume() {
// TODO Auto-generated method stub
super.onResume();
caricaLista("")}
}
#Override
public View onCreateView(LayoutInflater inflater, ViewGroup container,Bundle
savedInstanceState) {
View rootView = inflater.inflate(R.layout.fragment1, container, false);
lv=(ListView) rootView.findViewById(R.id.listViewCompiti);
Bundle args = getArguments();
int position= args.getInt("position");
fragmentPosition=position;
lv.setOnItemClickListener(this);
homeListAdapter= new HomeListAdapterWithCache(ctx,R.layout.list_item_home,lista);
lv.setAdapter(homeListAdapter);
return rootView;
}
You have to store the Current Fragment into your MainActivity , and change every time the page changes.
So you call the method of the current fragments.
Check out how your MainActivity should look like:
public class MainActivity extends FragmentActivity implements OnClickListener{
&Fragment mCurrentFragment;*
protected void onCreate(Bundle arg0) {
super.onCreate(arg0);
setContentView(R.layout.layout1);
pagerAdapter = new AdapterPager(getSupportFragmentManager());
ctx=this;
mViewPager = (ViewPager) findViewById(R.id.pager);
mViewPager.setAdapter(pagerAdapter);
pagerTab=(PagerTabStrip) findViewById(R.id.pager_tab_strip);
mViewPager.setCurrentItem(paginaCentrale);
modifica=(ImageView)findViewById(R.id.modifica);
modifica.setOnClickListener(this);
*mViewPager.setOnPageChangeListener(new ViewPager.SimpleOnPageChangeListener() {
#Override
public void onPageSelected(int position) {
mCurrentFragment = pagerAdapter.getItem(position);
}*
});
#Override
public void onClick(View arg0) {
// TODO onClick
switch (arg0.getId()){
case R.id.modifica:
*mCurrentFragment.caricaLista();*
break;
}
}
}

How to use same servlet for RPC and upload File in GWT.

i created a web application where i have to use fileUpload.
i have to send the file and their properties to server . For sending a file i used FormPanel and for properties i used RPC .
public void onModuleLoad() {
final FileServiceEndPoint serviceEndPoint = new FileServiceEndPoint();
new AddDocument();
Button b = new Button("addDocument");
b.addClickHandler(new ClickHandler() {
private Map<String, String> docProperty;
public void onClick(ClickEvent event) {
docProperty =getProperties();
AsyncCallback<String> callback = new AsyncCallback<String>() {
public void onSuccess(String result) {
System.out.println("he ha" +result);
}
public void onFailure(Throwable caught) {
}
};
serviceEndPoint.uploadAttachement(docProperty, callback);
}
});
RootPanel.get().add(b);
}
this new AddDocument(); contains code for uploading a file (formPanel code)
private FormPanel getFormPanel() {
if (uploadForm == null) {
uploadForm = new FormPanel();
uploadForm.setAction(GWT.getHostPageBaseURL() +"TestUploadFileServlet");
uploadForm.setEncoding(FormPanel.ENCODING_MULTIPART);
uploadForm.setMethod(FormPanel.METHOD_POST);
uploadForm.setWidget(getFileUpload());
System.out.println(GWT.getHostPageBaseURL() +"TestUploadFileServlet");
uploadForm.addFormHandler(new FormHandler() {
public void onSubmitComplete(FormSubmitCompleteEvent event) {
AddDocument.this.hide(true);
}
public void onSubmit(FormSubmitEvent event) {
}
});
}
return uploadForm;
}
private Button getAddButton() {
if (addButton == null) {
addButton = new Button("ADD");
addButton.addClickHandler(new ClickHandler() {
public void onClick(ClickEvent event) {
uploadForm.submit();
}
});
addButton.setText("Add");
}
Interface is created for Sending property.
EndPoints:
public class FileServiceEndPoint implements FileServiceAsync{
FileServiceAsync service = (FileServiceAsync)GWT.create(FileService.class);
ServiceDefTarget endpoint = (ServiceDefTarget) service;
public FileServiceEndPoint() {
endpoint.setServiceEntryPoint(GWT.getHostPageBaseURL() + “TestUploadFileServlet”);
}
public void uploadAttachement(Map docProperty,
AsyncCallback callback) {
service.uploadAttachement(docProperty, callback);
}
}
On Server:
public class FileUploadImpl extends RemoteServiceServlet implements FileService {
private static final long serialVersionUID = 1L;
private static final Logger log = Logger.getLogger(FileUploadImpl.class
.getName());
String a;
protected void service(final HttpServletRequest request,HttpServletResponse response)
throws ServletException,IOException {
a=”5″;
System.out.println(“ServletWorking Fine “);
}
public String uploadAttachement(Map docProperty) {
// TODO Auto-generated method stub
return “Checked”;
}
}
When I debug formPanel.submit : the debugger goes in Server and print ServletWorking Fine(this is perfect)
and when i debug the addProperties button it goes to server and print ServletWorking Fine. but It should not go in service method.
the debugger should go in UploadAttachement.
Plz tell how to pass hashMap using same servlet.

I think ai doing something wrong...
thanks in advance.
From what I understood in the wiki, a popup can't be a place, and it needs a parent presenter.
I see two obvious problems here :
Your second presenter (the popup) should implement PresenterWidget, not Presenter
You can't display a popup by calling placeManager.revealPlace(), because a popup is not a place. Instead, you have to apply one of the two methods explained in the wiki (addToPopupSlot() or RevealRootPopupContentEvent.fire(), both called from the parent).
