Can I use Ionic's ion-nav-view without the arrows at top and bottom of my app? - ionic-framework

I have an application which contains generated code for ion-nav-view. When I remove the code, the entire app disappears. I want to get rid of the arrows generated by ion-nav-view. Is there a way to do this without throwing away the entire app? I just want a view without the extra nav buttons.

The answer is that a button bar child element which was an href styled as a button, i.e.
<a href="/page1" class="button">
was being parsed and displayed into the topmost and bottom most region as part of the ion-nav-bar. The solution, in my case was to remove the anchor styled as a button in another part of the app, and the phantom objects at top of page and bottom of page go away.
I'm not sure what that magic logic was supposed to achieve, but I'm not a fan.

Why doesn't RouterLink take you to the top of the new page but a regular HTML link does when both compile to the same HTML?

I have <router-outlet [routes]="Routes.all"></router-outlet> set in my app component. I have a page with links at the bottom of the page. If a user clicks a link I want them to be taken to the top of the new page.
If I use RouterLink the current scroll position is retained so the user lands in the middle of the new page.
<a [routerLink]="RoutePaths.featurePage.toUrl()">...</a>
If I use a regular HTML link, I get the behavior I want, the user lands at the top of the new page.
...
What I really don't get is how they can respond differently yet compile to the exact same HTML code.
<a class="_ngcontent-zbb-0" href="/feature-page">...</a>
What am I missing here?
I understand regular non-Dart Angular has something called scrollPositionRestoration but it doesn't seem to exist for AngularDart.
The answer is really a hack to return the scroll position by utilizing the
window.scrollTo(x,y) function.
This issue was raised in here in regular angular

Any links or HTML form items like button inside the Bootstrap 4 modal is unusable

I have cart icon, which when clicked loads the cart of the user in a Modal. However, any link or HTML form items like input or buttons that are within this modal are unusable. It can never be brought to focus nor clicked. I tried playing with CSS property z-index with no success.
Check site here.
Add any product to cart and then click bag/cart icon on the top right to see the issue.
Changing the pointer-events value in CSS solved the issue. wrapping the content part in an element with class modal-content is also fixing the issue as suggested in comments.

How to avoid the white space which appears while switching between tabs in ionic?

I am working on a project based on Ionic. I have a page consisting of three tabs.
When I switch between the tabs there is a white blank screen appears for a short period of time, but it looks like the whole page is getting refreshed. What I want to achieve is that the tabs should remain as it is. It should not look like tab gets disappears and then appears.only the content should change.
Any help will be appreciated.
you have to use show hide functionality. in your design three tabs are there right. so in your application create one main div and in that div put your three tab and inside your controller buy-default tab1 data show on load tab2 and tab3 div make hide. and if you click on tab2 then hide data tab1 and tab3. you do not change your whole page only data show hide. its faster and all header footer data as it is. and if you have any confusing then tell me.

Issue when using position: fixed for toolbar in iOS 5 (iPad and iPhone)

There's an issue when accessing my website (http://www.zero11arquitetura.com.br) on iPad or iPhone with iOS 5 that I canĀ“t fix. When window is scrolled thru code every position:fixed elements click event stop working. Can you please help me ?
This site structure uses a top menu div and a header div with position: fixed css. When user clicks on a menu item window scrolls horizontally until it reaches its target.
Clicking in the menu item is done by jQuery click method on each img tag and scrolling is done by jQuery animate method ($("html:not(:animated),body").animate({ scrollLeft: varDestino }, 1500);)
When page is loaded the menu works just as I intended but, after it scrolls thru menu, and I try to click on another menu item nothing happens. The strangest thing is that everything works again when user manually scrolls the window (by finger).
It looks like that by changing window scroll position by code (jQuery calls window.scroll) fixed elements lost its clickable position references.
Is there any workaround for this ?
Thanks,
I've solved this with a trick. I've created invisible divs over the menu items that changes it's position when page scrolls (simulating afixed element over the real position: fixed menu items). When user clicks or hover over those invisble divs the real ones are called

How to achieve slideToggle effect similar to facebook "New Stories" button with jQuery?

As you may know not long time ago facebook added several new features. One of them was a "New Stories" button which when clicked expands (with what I guess is a slideToggle effect) and shows new stories.
Here is the button I am talking about:
I would like to know How to achieve same slide / toggle effect and fade in effect that comes in after this button is clicked, with a help of jQuery.
I tried searching for this on internet, but all effects I found were regular slideToggle effects, I mean they started showing div from top and slided down to it's bottom (here is what I mean by regular content http://jsfiddle.net/TwxB4/), where as one facebook uses starts from the bottom of the hidden div and sort of slides to the top of it. (You will see what I mean if you check it on facebook).
Edit: I am only looking for a slideToggle effect and nothing else, I want to be abble to expand and shrink hidden div when user clicks on the link that lunches the effect.
Edit: Here is an illustration of the effect I'm looking for:
This example works the way you described, showing bottom content first:

Also full screen view here:
http://jsfiddle.net/SBLNn/16/embedded/result/
They may also do it by having the overflow of the feed hidden, and then setting a negative margin on the inner feed wrapper, then when you click they just animate that negative margin down to 0.
Does this works for you

updated version
http://jsfiddle.net/wb7h6/9/ I hope this is what you need
You want slideToggle() I think. See this jsFiddle.
