We would like to use iTextSharp DLL in one of our project to extract PDF text but I'm having 2nd thought to release it to production because I read somewhere that we need to purchase a commercial license for us to be able to use iTexttSharp. Is this true? We will just consumed the DLL and we will not change anything, do we still need to buy a license?
Thanks in Advance!
iText is free software released under the AGPL. This means that it can be used for free on condition that you also release the source code of your project for free under the same license. As soon as you start offering the code or the project (e.g. in the context of a SaaS offering) under a different license, then you should purchase a commercial license. That is explained in a one-minute video and it's the subject of my JavaOne talk on October 28th: IANAL: what developers should know about IP and legal. You'll notice that we have successfully went to court to make sure that the open source license was honored.

Recently, I am learning MAUI and I wanna use the UI from Syncfusion.
I tried to get the community license of it, and I followed the steps from the Syncfusion site. But there was no responding after I login with my LinkedIn account.
Guys, if you know something about this, could you please give me some suggestions or tell me if the community license is not available for applying?
Or maybe you can recommend some else good and free UI library for MAUI to me. Much thanks!
Go to Syncfusion.com
Sign in top right corner
Select PRICING - and the Communitylicense. Then click Claim your free license.
Get License or Unlock Key , or download them (best option) so you cannot lose it .
Don't forget to set the key in App.xaml.cs

I am planning to use Visual Studio Code in school. And I am worried if there is any payment for schools to download Visual Studio Code. Since I want to get VS code for free. Because sometimes there are some programs which allows private account to download the program for free but has to pay when organization like school wants to download the program.
It's not a good question. The answer can be easily found by Google.
Check Visual Studio Code Official Website Q&A,
there's dirct answer to your question.
Is VS Code free?
Yes, VS Code is free for private or commercial use. See the product license for details.

Is there a website or tutorial to have a "Hello World" and more for demandware?
Where can I find the demand ware api documentation
Is there someway to have free server access, for training purpose ?
I already installed Eclipse and UX plugin..
Thanks
The main resources for such queries would be
https://xchange.demandware.com/community/developer
https://documentation.demandware.com
Both require that you have a valid Demandware XChange account.
It should be possible to request such by Demandware support.
There is no free server access as far as I am aware. To get a sandbox, you need to have an active subscription for Demandware SaaS.
It may be the case that your employer/client already has one, so it may be good to check with them.
It's a pay-to-play kind of model, so you can't really learn it without having an enterprise account with DW. If you do have one, you can get access to xchange where there are lots of training videos and documents....but basically it's just like NodeJS with some DW-specific calls and some, optional, funky flow chart things.

I just want to use adobe's omniture for my IOS app so do i need to make an account on Digital Marketing Suite in omniture. Can any one provide me any sample source code in which omniture has been used.
If you or your organization are an existing Digital Marketing Suite customer, you can obtain all the measurement libraries by navigating to the Code Manager in the Admin Console. You can also obtain implementation code examples in their help interface here:
http://microsite.omniture.com/t2/help/en_US/home/index.html#Developer
If you are not an existing user, there's not much reason or use to implement code because you wouldn't be able to access any reports that result from it.

I have an Eclipse plugin and want to release it. I want to add a license facility that limits the feature set depending on trial periods and annual renewals. The only solutions that I have found are EasyLicenser, flexlm and JProductivity. Each of these cost a few thousand $ per year, this is well out of my price range. I am only asking 10's of $ per license and only expect 10's of customers. These license managers will cost more than I expect to make.
Are there any simple / cheaper solutions to the licensing of Eclipse plugins?
I found Padlock and am currently evaluating it using the trial download. The website states that there is a one off purchase price of $700 ... and an extended support if desired. I am sure it does not have all the features that the big boys offer ... but its more in my price range and without any heavy cracking, it locked me out without a valid license!

Could you just have a separate trial version and commercial version? If people want to buy the full version they then just install the new plug-in rather get a licence key or whatever.
If you're only talking about 10s of customers I wouldn't worry about stopping people copying the full version.
