I have a source connection reading and constructing my output all in javascript in the channel source.
I need to pass this along to access it from the destination.
So I use
globalChannelMap.put('fullMessage', fullMessage);
Inside the destination in the template window for File Writer I have
${fullMessage}
But it writes exactly that to the file. I want everything inside that variable to be written to the file.
Try this. Use intermediate variables, like:
var data = ${fullMessage};
var fullMessage = DateUtil.convertDate('dd/MM/yyyy', 'yyyyMMdd', $('data'));
globalChannelMap.put('${fullMessage}',fullMessage);

Octokit allows me to easily retrieve the list of files in a given folder like so:
var directoryContent = await _githubClient.Repository.Content.GetAllContents("MyUsername", "MyProject", "TheFolderName").ConfigureAwait(false);
Unfortunately, the Content property for each file is null which means that I have to loop through the list of files and retrieve each one separately like so:
foreach (var file in directoryContent)
{
var fileWithContent = await _githubClient.Repository.Content.GetAllContents("MyUsername", "MyProject", file.Path).ConfigureAwait(false);
... do something with the content ...
}
Is there a more efficient way to get the content of all files in a given folder?
Just for reference: This is on purpose. If you read a whole directory and load all the content in one step it's huge load. So, the first call skips the content (Content property is null). The second step requests just this file and then the content is present.
Only thing I'm still missing is a method that can return just one result instead of a list if I pull a single file.
Using WinJS, while looping through a directory, how to retrieve only images in that particular directory and ignoring any other file extension, including the DoubleDots .. and the SingleDot . etc?
Something like:

Instead of trying to process pathnames, it will work much better to use a file query, which lets the file system do the search/filtering for you. A query also allows you to listen for the query's contentschanged event if you want to dynamically track the folder contents rather than explicitly enumerating again.
A query is created via StorageFolder.createFileQuery, createFolderQuery, or other variants. In your particular case, where you want to filter by file types, you can use createFileQueryWithOptions. This function takes a QueryOptions object which you can initialize with an array of file types. For example:

When you want to display the image files, be sure to use thumbnails instead of loading the whole image (images are typically much larger than a display). That is, for each StorageFile, call its getThumbnailAsync or getScaledImageAsThumbnailAsync method. Pass the resulting thumbnail (blob) to URL.createObjectURL which returns a URL you can assign to an img.src attribute. Or you can use a WinJS.UI.ListView control, but that's another topic altogether (see Chapter 7 of my book).
I have been attempting to figure out how to make the EF Power Tools - Reverse Engineer Code First use a different name for the generated Context-file, than what it uses now.
Example
I have a database called My_Awesome_Dev_Database. When I run Reverse-engineer against that, the file that is generated will be called:
My_Awesome_Dev_DatabaseContext.cs
What it would like to do is specify what the file is to be called, for instance:
MyAwesomeDatabaseContext.cs
Attempts so far
I have tried looking through the EF.Utilities.CS.ttinclude file, to figure out how the filename is generated - but I have been unsuccessful so far.
Does anyone know ?

Currently the generated context file naming convention is hard-coded and non configurable.
All the logic is inside the ReverseEngineerCodeFirstHandler class (the source is on CodePlex).
It sets the context file name and path with

So the file name is coming from modelGenerator.EntityContainer.Name which gets created upper in the method with:

.Replace(".", string.Empty) + "Context";
var modelGenerator =
new EntityModelSchemaGenerator(storeGenerator.EntityContainer,
"DefaultNamespace", contextName);
So as you can see the tool just takes the db name removes the spaces and dots and use it as the context name which will end up as the generated file name.
You can open an issue or - because Entity Framework is open source - take the code, add this configuration option, and send back a pull request.
I need to customize other's code,
so I found they used
Mage::getSingleton('core/session')->getMyCustomBlockInfo();
in Order.php file for custom order email
so I can't find this function getMyCustomBlockInfo();
Can anyone tell me where this function reside?

those are magic functions get() and set() and you are asking a session variable there that is set as
Mage::getSingleton('core/session')->setMyCustomBlockInfo();
somewhere in your code. If you use terminal you can easily find by making a following grep:
grep '>setMyCustomBlockInfo(' . -rsni
and it will list the files where your variable is set to session.
example :
Mage::getModel('catalog/product'); //or
Mage::getSingleton('catalog/product');
the code must be in '../app/core/Mage/Catalog/Model/Product.php' file
then
Mage::getSingleton('core/session');
the code must be in '../app/core/Mage/Core/Model/Session.php' file
because the class Mage_Core_Model_Session's parent::parent is Varien_Object, then you can do all magic functions and you can ->getData() to see the Data inside.
Mage::getSingleton('core/session')->getData();
on your problem when go call ->getData() you can see data : [my_custom_block_info]
you can set it with call
Mage::getSingleton('core/session')->setMyCustomBlockInfo('what');

I have a file reader channel picking up an xml document. By default, a file reader channel populates the 'originalFilename' in the channel map, which ony gives me the name of the file, not the full path. Is there any way to get the full path, withouth having to hard code something?
You can get any of the Source reader properties like this:

You could put the directory in a channel deploy script:
globalChannelMap.put("pickupDirectory", "/Mirth/inbox");
then use that map in both your source connector:
${pickupDirectory}
and in another channel script:

Unfortunately, there is no variable or method for retrieving the file's full path. Of course, you probably already know the path, since you would have had to provide it in the Directory field. I experimented with using the preprocessor to store the path in a channel variable, but the Directory field is unable to reference variables. Thus, you're stuck having to hard code the full path everywhere you need it.
