I am trying to use Wildfly/JBoss to deploy a war of a program I made, but I keep receiving the following errors when I try to connect:

What I did were the following steps
1)Went to the Wildfly site
2)Downloaded the latest version of the standalone
3)Unpacked from the archive
4)Run on Windows the file jboss-cli.bat by double clicking on it
5)Typed what you can see above (and before that I also typed only "connect", without anything else. Still didn't work, same error for localhost:9990)
I must specify this is a clean download with no configuration changed, no file deleted, nothing modified at all. Not even the war was deployed. I also tried to add a rule to the Windows firewall to unlock the port 9990, still the same error. On port 9990 nothing is listening, I already checked in cmd. And I also restarted my PC before trying the connect commands, so nothing would be opened by me on that port.
I have the latest versions of JDK and JRE installed on my PC if that helps.
What is going on with this error, I am really lost.
In the end I fixed the problem, and the solution was pretty straightforward. I forgot to open standalone.sh so wildfly can run, this being the reason jboss didn't connect.
I have Wildfly 10 running on a docker swarm cluster. All HTTP requests go to a Load Balancer (traefik). In traefik (btw. labels in docker stack yml, it works perfectly) app.wildfly.my.swarm on port 80 redirects to the Wildfly container's 8080 port and admin.wildfly.my.swarm on port 80 redirects to port 9990. In my browser everything is working fine.
But if I try to use the maven wildfly plugin for remote deployment it fails with:
[ERROR] Failed to execute goal org.wildfly.plugins:wildfly-maven-plugin:1.2.1.Final:deploy (default-cli) on project automat: Failed to execute goal deploy. java.net.ConnectException: WFLYPRT0053: Could not connect to remote+http://admin.wildfly.my.swarm:80. The connection failed: XNIO000816: Redirect encountered establishing connection -> [Help 1]
Only if I open the management port directly it works.
Is there anywhere configuration needed to be able to deploy remotely with maven wildfly plugin to wildfly which is behind a proxy?
EDIT:
If trying to connect with CLI:
./bin/jboss-cli.sh
You are disconnected at the moment. Type 'connect' to connect to the server or 'help' for the list of supported commands.

I'm attempting to connect to a locally deployed JBoss 7.2.0 on osx, but I get the following error message when trying to connect with the CLI:
$ bin/jboss-cli.sh
You are disconnected at the moment. Type 'connect' to connect to the server or 'help' for the list of supported commands.

Netstat shows:
tcp4 0 0 127.0.0.1.9999 *.* LISTEN
and the server log states:
16:24:37,118 INFO [org.jboss.as.remoting] (MSC service thread 1-3) JBAS017100: Listening on 127.0.0.1:9999
In addition to which, I can telnet to 127.0.0.1:9999 (though the connection dies due to incorrect packet size, which I presume is as intended).
I've verified that standalone.xml states 127.0.0.1 as the correct binding address and 9999 as the correct port for management-native.
Is there anything I've missed, or any other way to trouble shoot?
Yeah, a bug in OpenJDK turned out to be it.
I am having the same problem as indicated by this thread.
How do I debug GlassFish 3 using Eclipse Helios?
I did use the "debug" instead "run" on the glassfish 3.1.1 server. Eclipse is Indigo. OEPE 11.1.1.8. I have a customized domain in which I changed all the port numbers, for server debug port, I used 10009. I am able to start the server, but the debugger is not working and shows "Failed to connect to remote VM. Connection refused." Eclipses log shows:
!ENTRY org.eclipse.jdt.launching 4 113 2011-12-01 10:29:42.602
!MESSAGE Failed to connect to remote VM. Connection refused.

I am using jdk1.7 (OEPE declares it supports up to 1.6, but I don't a simple socket connection for debugger won't work due to this).
Found out that glassfish eclipse plugin does not support customized domain port. The debug port is fixed to be 9009 as of the current version.
