Import soapui tests to eclipse - eclipse

How do I take imported SoapUI project and tie it to my current Maven Eclipse project, and be able to see this SoapUI project when I am in the Java Perspective view?
I have a SoapUI project that I would like to import into my Eclipse Maven project.
I can import this SoapUI project to eclipse when I go to the soapUI Perspective view and do a 'Import Project.' This works great.
I want to have my maven plugin to execute the projects/testCases/testSuites in my current soapUI project file.
It is probably simple, I am just not seeing how to make this final connection between the soapUI and eclipse projects to run all projects and get reports.

Exception while building Scala-Maven project on IntelliJ

Next I tried to add the compiler options in project like below:
Once added and when I click the RUN button, I get the below error message:

I am using the jdk version: 1.8.0_172 and I have added the Scala plugin directly from the plugins. Hence it is the latest version of the Scala.

It looks like you need to configure Maven and IntelliJ to use network proxy settings, since it looks like you might be behind a corporate firewall.
Maven has the ability to configure a proxy through its settings (in ~/.m2/settings.xml on Unix-like systems, or %HOME%\.m2\settings.xml on Windows), as follows:

Meanwhile, IntelliJ is configured to use proxies through its settings. Refer to this answer for further details. (Note that setting proxy information via the JAVA_OPTS environment variable will work for running any Java/Scala/JVM application that needs to access the Internet via a proxy.)
Alternatively, if your proxy settings are configured correctly or are not required, it might be a temporary network connection issue, so make sure you have an Internet connection and try again. (The exception is a failure by Maven to download the plugin from the Maven central repository.)
BTW, the version of Scala you have specified—2.7.0—is ancient and almost certainly will not work with JDK 8. Either use an older JDK or a more recent version of Scala (the current release is 2.12.6).
Note that if you need to work with the current version of Apache Spark, you must currently use Scala 2.11.x - the most recent release being 2.11.12.

From your comments, it seems there is some confusion about the roles played by Maven, the scala-maven-plugin, IntelliJ and the IntelliJ Scala plugin, so I'll quickly summarize them here. Please bear with me if I cover topics you're already familiar with...
Maven is a system for building and publishing software. (It actually does a lot more than just that, which is why Maven describes itself as project management software.) It allows developers to specify, in a single place, all of their software's dependencies (third-party libraries used by the software), which Maven downloads as required from the Central Maven Repository—mostly open-source—or from other, private repositories, as required. Further settings control how compilers are configured, tests are run, reports generated, etc.
Maven was developed primarily for development of Java-language projects. The scala-maven-plugin provides support for the Scala language and compiler within Maven. It is this plugin that downloads the version of the Scala compiler specified by your project and uses it to compile and build your sources.
If you look at your Maven project's pom.xml file, you will notice the following lines in the build section:

In both cases, there is a line that reads <scalaVersion>${scala.version}</scalaVersion>, which tells Maven which version of Scala you want to use. The plugin then uses this version of the Scala compiler, and has Maven download it to a cached, local repository on your machine (typically, in C:\Users\{your account}\.m2 on a Windows machine). Note that both Maven and the scala-maven-plugin will ignore any versions of Scala you have installed on your machine.
So which version of Scala is the plugin going to download for you? The value ${scala.version} states that the version number is stored as the value of a property named scala.version. Your pom.xml file also has lines, near the top, that create this property:

IntelliJ IDEA is an Integrated Development Environment (IDE), primarily aimed at development with the Java language. It provides syntax highlighting, smart code completion, and other features to simplify the process of writing code. In order to provide those features for the Scala programming language, you need to install its Scala plugin.
You can configure IntelliJ to use any version of Scala that you have installed on your machine. IntelliJ will then know how to compile, build and run your software and can work without using your Maven project object model (POM) file's build definition.
However, one of the reasons for using Maven is to ensure a consistent build environment for developing a project, so that it is not at the whim of whatever each developer may or may not have installed on their machine. For this reason, if a project uses Maven, it's a good idea to tell IntelliJ. That way, IntelliJ can use Maven's pom.xml file to specify the version of the compiler, download dependencies, configure the compiler settings, etc.
So, the above information should help you to get up-and-running with your project, working with your corporation's network proxy and using the latest version of Scala, using Maven and IntelliJ.

JPA Static Metamodel not recognized by IntelliJ

I generated the application with JHipster with Gradle as the build tool.
When I created entity I added filtering support, which generated JPA static metamodel. But IntelliJ doesn't recognize the metamodels.
I have enabled the annotation processor settings on IntelliJ but it doesn't seem to work.
What settings do I have to change for IntelliJ to recognize the JPA static metamodels?
By default, the metamodel classes get generated into the /target/generated-sources/annotations folder. It seems like that folder isn't registered as a source folder.
You can either change that manually in your IDE or if you're using a Maven build, you can do that automatically by adding the following plugin to your build configuration:

For me it wasn't a problem of the configuration files (none of the above mentioned solutions worked), but I simply had to reload all Maven project files.
For this in IntelliJ Idea:
Go to the Maven tab on the right side of the IDE (you might have to make it visible under View -> Tool Windows)
Open the project and compile
On the top left corner of the tab press Reload all Maven Projects
Now, the meta classes (e.g. SampleClass_) should be importable and recognized by IntelliJ

Eclipse oxygen Release 1a + Java 9 + maven project is not working

I tried java 9 with eclipse oxygen 1a Release. As far as Simple java 9 project is concern. It is working. Here is the screen shot of java 9 simple program

If module-info.java file is not present in src/main/java. Then this test case run. By simply mouse-right click and select Run As--> Junit Test. If I select the java file, which is Welcome.java and select Run As --> Java Application. Then I get the following output

Module Name: null
Which is OK. Because now it is considering class path. And no module is present on module path. So module name is null. But as soon as I introduce module-info.java in src/main/java/ folder. Things start getting messy. Here what I tried with module-info.java. First I tried this

Same as my First project without maven. I get error in my AppTest.java. Imports are not resolving. Now if I right click on my Welcome.java and select Run As --> Java Application . It says error exist want to proceed. If I select yes. I get the following output

Now if I delete my module-info.java. And then right mouse click on my project name which is Ch3-02-HelloWorldMaven and select Configure --> Create module-info.java. It asks me for module name. If I enter my module name pk.training.basit and click Finish. Then here is the result

Now if i remove my AppTest.java. And change module-info.java to this

Also you can't have more than one module-info.java file in one project in eclipse. Like if we consider this link Java 9 multi module project. Then for multi module project the structure is you have project root folder. Then in project root folder you have one source folder for one module. And another source folder for another module. Both source folders have their own module-info.java file.
But if I try to do the same in eclipse. Then I get the error. Multiple modules-info.java files found on class path.
Like the idea is you have one maven project. Which manage all your dependencies. Like spring, apache, etc. And in this project you have one source folder like module.web which contains your web modules related java files and its own module-info.java. You have another source folder module.service. which contains its own module-info.java.
But it seems you can't do it in eclipse in single project. I don't know it's valid or not but I tried it and I see you can't do it in eclipse in this way.
Anyways if I am doing something wrong then please let me know.

M2E and having maven generated source folders as eclipse source folders

I have a maven project in eclipse and have maven goals that run annotation processors to generate code. The output folder for this code is target/generated-sources/apt.
In order for Eclipse to see this generated code I need to add target/generated-sources/apt as a source folder to the Eclipse project.
However, this causes there to be an error of type "Maven Configuration Problem" saying
Project configuration is not up-to-date with pom.xml. Run project
configuration update
I think I understand why this is the case as Eclipse has a different set of source folders to Maven's set. But I need this different set, as I need Eclipse to be able to see the generated source folders...
When doing a pure Maven built, these source folders will be included in the build, by Maven.
BTW, I have upgraded to the official Eclipse release of the Maven Eclipse plugin, m2e 1.0 - what used to be m2eclipse. I'd like to see if I can find a work around/solution to this with the m2e plugin before I have to go back to the old m2eclipse version.

To do so click the error in the Overview tab of your pom.xml and select "Discover".
Ensure there are no plugin execution filters for the build-helper-maven-plugin (see https://www.eclipse.org/m2e/documentation/m2e-execution-not-covered.html)
Right-click the Error message:
Project configuration is not up-to-date with pom.xml Run project
configuration update
in the Problems View and select Quick Fix and click Finish to select the default Update project configuration. This fixes it.
After switching to new versions of m2e/maven/apt,... i had builderrors because of the duplicated files, caused by the added buildpath by the buildhelper, so i needed to remove the "apt-generated"-Folders from the buildhelper.
To fix the Problem in Eclipse, not adding the "apt-generated"-folder via Update Maven Configuration in M2E, i've written a M2E Plugin to fix this problem. It adds the outputDirectories configured in the maven-apt-plugin to the buildpath of the Project.

In m2e 1.0 the handling of Maven plugins has changed. You might be lacking a specific m2e extension for your code generating plugin. Here is all the documentation I managed to find.

request on CXF JIRA (see 1) to add lifecycle mappings in the cxf-codegen-plugin itself. This would require m2e 1.1 but I believe it is better approach than having connectors built outside of cxf project, assuming that lifecycle mapping API would change less frequently than cxf-codegen-plugin and cxf.
You can also use the buildhelper m2e connector available in the discovery catalog. I'm using Eclipse 3.7

Just press F5 on project. Fix this problem.
This was what I found that worked good using spring 3.1.1 which does have the 3.0.6 version as well in it. Once I got the plugins setup and put into the correct area of the pom and included the argline and endorseddirs to have the java sources put out into the target/generated-sources/cxf folder then maven generated the sources ok.

In case for some reason you can't use the build helper plugin the easiest way (albeit not as convenient and somewhat tedious) I have found to deal with this is:
Separate the generated source code into its own project or sub module.
You will want to keep this project predominately closed or not imported into Eclipse when you are working on the parent project.
In the parent project that needs the generated code make sure to now depend on the generated source code project via Maven pom dependency.
When you need to update the generated code go to the generated code project and run mvn install. Now refresh the parent project by right clicking and selecting Maven->Update Project...
This generally works well for projects that use a semi static source for code generation such as SOAP WSDLs (Apache CXF) or code generated from a database (jOOQ). For APT and other AspectJ-like-code it doesn't work as well because you are editing the source frequently.

Pick the correct link from the list and add it as an eclipse update site. It should ask you for a bunch (seriously.. a huge bunch ) of eclipse updates . Please accept and you are good to go.
the configuration to the build helper plugin did work for us.
but be aware, that the destination folder always has to be equal to the configuration of the plugin u're using for the annotation processing itself.
for example the maven-processor-plugin uses the target folder ${project.build.directory}/generated-sources/apt as default. if you wish another destination for your generated source files you can set it by the tag as shown below.

Inject Groovy into existing Maven Java Project

I have been maintaining a maven java project for year.
Recently, I learned Ruby and asked why haven't these nice features (of Ruby) existed in Java, and I am so happy to find Groovy the answer. It's already out there for more than 6 years and what a shame I didn't know about it sooner.
Now come to the story:
I have a lot of java code written already, organized in folder structures follow maven default convention (src/main/java for logic & src/test/java for test)
Now, I want to write some new stuff in Groovy, so I guess I should create src/main/groovy for groovy logic and src/test/groovy for test. However, both mvn eclipse:eclipse and the latest m2eclipse only understand and include src/main/groovy as source code folder of the generated eclipse project, and don't not recognize src/test/groovy at all.
Is this the correct behavior? Or am I missed any thing?

You may find that you have better luck with new version of m2eclipse instead of eclipse:eclipse. Either way, once your project is in eclipse, navigate your src/{main,test}/ folder, right-click and choose Build Path and "User as Source Folder".
Using eclipse can be more comfortable :
