How to change the type of "open file" prompt in Internet Explorer - ms-word

I have a .Net web application that allows the user the open a Word document which is a macro-based report. This has worked well for years until recently. And now we are starting to have some issues with the opening of the Word doc.
I've determined that I currently have some PCs that work well, and some that don't. Here are the main differences:
Working:
When clicking on the file link, the IE11 browser shows a prompt on the center of the screen asking the user to "open, save or cancel". Similar to this:
When the user selects "Open", the word file is opened with a yellow message saying "Enable content".
When the user clicks on "Enable content", the macro executes and the data is filled correctly.
Not working:
When clicking on the file link, the IE11 browser shows a prompt on the bottom of the screen asking the user to "open, save or cancel". Like this:
When the user selects "Open", the word file is opened with a yellow message saying "Enable edit".
When the user selects "Enable edit", there is a new yellow message saying "Enable content".
When the user clicks on "Enable content", the macro does not execute and/or has no data.
So my questions are, What's the difference in the IE11 setup and how do I change it?
Oh... company policy forces me to use IE, I have no other choice.

Why get "Permission Needed" everytime for my word plugin?

I am builing Word Plugin, I follow the tutorial to set up SSO by adding
<WebApplicationInfo>
<Id>{application GUID here}</Id>
<Resource>api://localhost:44355/{application_GUID here}</Resource>
<Scopes>
<Scope>openid</Scope>
<Scope>offline_access</Scope>
<Scope>profile</Scope>
<Scope>files.read.all</Scope>
</Scopes>
</WebApplicationInfo>
into my manifest file, however, everytime I refresh the page, when I click my plugin icon, it pops "Permission Needed" dialog box to ask above permissions, even I already gave the consent before, I thought it will remember my consent for the app. It shouldn't bother me again and again, this behavior happens before "Office.initialize" event, therefore not my code cause that.
My question, any way to let the "permission needed" only popup at first time, and after I gave the consent no matter how many times I refresh the page, when I click my plugin icon, it will not popup again?
Thanks
* More info appended *
I use my "Work or School" account login to office365, the URL is https://word.office.com
choose any word file, and click my plugin.
Then give the consent for app.
Then, If I reload the current Word page (by pressing Ctrl+F5) and click my plugin icon again, it repeat the above steps which I already give the consent.
That not make sense, or it only happens when I am developing, then it will be ok when published to Microsoft AppSource?

mail merge and outlook causes an error dialogue pop up

Dialog Box comes up in MS-Word that says: "A program is trying to access e-mail address information stored in Outlook....." when I try to send.
I followed these instructions:
In Outlook, go to File > Options > Trust Center > Trust Center settings.
Click on Programmatic Access from the left pane.
Select Never warn me about suspicious activity and click OK.
BUT it won't let me click anything. It's all in light grey ie: no clickable.
These properties can only be set by an Exchange Admin. See http://www.outlookcode.com/article.aspx?id=52 for the list of your options.

Choosing Fax Attachment during DocuSign Embedded Signing results in "cancel" event

I am making API calls to create an embedded signing URL token that enables our end user to see a DocuSign document. One of the tabs on the document is a file attachment. The file attachment appears when the user clicks on the tab, giving the option to "Choose File" or "Send By Fax".
If the user clicks on "Send By Fax", he/she gets a message saying that a cover sheet will be printed at the end of the signing process. The user can click on "OK".
After all of the tabs are validated a "FINISH" button appears. The user clicks on "FINISH" and then a "Send Attachment By Fax" message appears. The user clicks on "Print Cover Page" which downloads the cover page PDF. The user prints the PDF.
Then the user clicks on DONE, to close the dialog. Control is returned to the ReturnURL along with the parameter "event=cancel".
According to the documentation (https://www.docusign.com/p/RESTAPIGuide/RESTAPIGuide.htm#REST%20API%20References/Post%20Recipient%20View.htm?Highlight=fax_pending), the event parameter should be "event=fax_pending".
Is there any way to get the correct event parameter ("event=fax_pending" rather than "event=cancel") when awaiting a fax? Without the correct parameter, when we parse the response parameters we are lead to believe that the user canceled when in fact he/she is just planning to fax the attachment.
I just tried to repro this and was not able to repro. It is possible that you are on the older signing experience and experiencing a bug.
My experience:
1) Send envelope from a template
2) Create recipient view with respective information
3) access recipient view
4) Click Continue
5) Click "Other Actions" dropdown
6) Select "Print & Sign"
7) Click "Fax"
8) Click Download to download the PDF
9) Click "Finish"
10) Get result: default URL &?event=fax_pending appended
My result was:
https://www....com/?event=fax_pending
I did post a support request to support#docusign.com, and after a few days got a definitive answer. This event result is a known bug. However support told me of a work-around that is satisfactory for our purposes, which is to suppress the fax option during the attachment process. Here are the steps I followed:
log in to demo.docusign.net (na2.docusign.net for production)
click on preferences (drop-down in upper right)
click on branding (at left)
click on edit (to edit the brand)
click on resources
under signing resource click on Download Master
That downloads an XML file.
Add the following element as the last sub-element of : false
Save the file.
Click on Upload Captive Resource and upload the changed file

typo3: how could i see the contents that certain user edit in the backend?

I am using TYPO3 4.5.23, when i login /typo3 admin site, over one page, it shows The BE-USER Tom began to edit content on this page 4 min ago, So my question is: is there a way that I can see what Tom edit on this page?
You see this message per record base. So if you get this message, you usually should see it on the page-record, or on some tt_content elements etc. In list-view the icon is shown on each record which has been edited.
If you edit an record, there will be a notice.
This message disappears after two hours. If an user log out, the message is not removed (missing feature;)! But if an editor close (or save & close) an record, this message will disapear. Teach your editors to close records.
If you want to see exactly what Tom edited (not just which content element, but which content he changed), use the "History/Undo" tool. Right-click the page in the tree and click "History/Undo". There you see all the changes that have been made in a diff-like view and also the user that made the change.
If you would like to see a system-wide log for all changes that have been made by this user, just log in as admin and click on "Admin Tools" and then on "Log" in the menu on the left. Then you will get a dropdown-box for all users in your Typo3-backend and you can choose the desired user and see all the changes that he has ever made.

Facebook Connect settings for popup dialog

I'm in the process of implementing Facebook Connect for my site, everything seems to be working fine so far except that the look of my popup dialog upon clicking on "Login with Facebook" is totally different from what I see on other sites like say Posterous.
I'm only getting a popup with the msg "Do you want to log in to with your Facebook account?" followed by the 2 login fields whereas Posterous has a more detailed dialog box with 2 images and more descriptive text.
Am i missing out on some configuration settings here or?
Thanks
The text you're seeing is due to the new Facebook data permissions and permissions dialog changes that will go into effect on June 1st. The new settings also has different text for the dialog when you're logged into Facebook but not yet connected to the site:
[SITE_NAME] is requesting permission
to do the following:
Access my public information
Includes name, profile picture, list
of friends and all other public parts
of my profile
You can switch your app to the old / current Connect dialogs to see the difference by going to the Migrations tab when editing your application and setting "New Data Permissions" to Disabled. But on June 1st, you'll be automatically switched to the new version if you haven't already enabled it.
The new dialogs' text is definitely scarier to the user - I'm a little surprised Facebook is changing the text to this since they always say they want to make connecting as appealing as possible for the user. But we don't have a choice.
