I'm working on Laravel 5 and I have a view where I displayed some graphs of Charts, the thing is that I want to offer to the user, the posibility of download this report in PDF, I'm currently generating reports with DomPDF, but as I was reading, DomPDF doesn't support this kind of graph, so, How can I do it? I was thinking in generate a printing view, but then how I dowload it automatically?
Also, I was thinking to send the generated images through a post petition and then attach it to the generated PDF, can I do that?

I was wondering if it is possible to print/down large PDF large report from a dashboard that requires many pages with a company logo. I tried view and it is only what is on my screen and the specific sheets from this dashboard does not include the logo which I need.
Not big text tables like that :( Essentially Tableau is a dashboarding tool and what you have created is a massive spreadsheet - that you now want to turn into a PDF? (yikes!!)
I'd revisit your requirements. Is it easier to pull the data directly from the database as a CSV? and then do some formatting? A PDF will be a nightmare for any user.
Tableau has (in my own opinion) limited features about exporting data in different formats, and it is because it is not a reporting tool (like SAP BusinessObjects for example).
The best way to add a company logo is to add an "Image" block inside your dashboard with the logo. The following image shows how to add in Tableau Online, I can't understand if you're using Tableau Online or Tableau Server, you mention Tableau Web that does not exist :-) .
Now I think that your problem is if you want to repeat the logo on every single page that you export, is this your case?
Is there any reporting tool from which I can automate the output as Power Point. I have access to Crystal and Tableau. From Crystal I can only download report as PDF and then paste in the PPT. Tableau I can download as PPT but some formatting issues and I need to manually download as PPT. Please advise. Thank you.
I think you may want to take a look at DOMO which can:
render a dashboard as a slideshow on the fly (https://domohelp.domo.com/hc/en-us/articles/360043437793-Sharing-Content-Using-Slideshows)
download a PPT for your dashboard
allow you to create refreshable ppt based on your own template (https://domohelp.domo.com/hc/en-us/articles/360043437953-Using-the-Domo-PowerPoint-Plugin)
Do you simply need to convert the report pages to a brand new PowerPoint file with one slide per each report page?
Any extra needs such as using a PowerPoint template?
Or using an existing "hosting" PowerPoint file and a target page for insertion?
Do you need any resizing or cropping of content before it gets inserted into the PowerPoint file?
What is the frequency at which this is needed?
I am using zing chart to display various charts on client side. Now there is a requirement to download all the charts in one pdf. For pdf generation I am using itextsharp. Is there any way by which I can integrate zing charts so that itextsharp can render and create pdf containing all charts?
No, there isnt'.
I think the best way to solve your usecase would be:
1. to send a call to the server (containing information about what charts the user wants to have)
2. at the server side, handle incoming requests by producing the graph (as an image), adding all images in a pdf, pushing the bytes of the pdf back into an HTTP message
For generating charts at the server side, have a look at http://nugetmusthaves.com/Tag/Chart
I have a form with some comboboxes, a datagrid and an image. My ultimate goal here is: When the user clicks the save button on a menustrip, it will send this data to a printer (preferably to a PDF one) and print the file ready to be mailed to our clients. I tried the code provided by:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa287529%28VS.71%29.aspx
But it sent me to OneNote which then showed me an empty file. I also tried Printform and PrintDialog which didn't bring me much luck either. Any suggestions?
edit: I configured it to print to pdf although it now prints only half the form (cuts it in half of width), and if the datagrid is Scrollable it only prints the data that is showing on the screen. Like this:
You cannot print scrolled data using graphics object. even you cannot create your own design using graphics object. Also, you will get some problem in creating PDF and managing multiple pages. So, don't make it more complicated just use reporting library. You have two choices to print form data into pdf file.
Microsoft Reporinting
Crystal Report
But, I would like to prefer to use Crystal Report to Print any document. It is more flexible than Microsoft Reporting. You can export that document into PDF, WORD, EXCEL or Direct to Printer.
I want to create a tutorial inside a form showing how to use my database. I created it in PowerPoint and saved it as a PDF. I was wondering if it was possible to attach this PDF in my form. I also saved these slides as images on my computer, tried to attached them to a form and it exceeded 22 inches in lenght. is there any way around this any suggestions perhaps?
You could use javascript and other tools to show the pdf as a slideshow, I recommend that you use this tool its free and you can integrate your slides in a very easy way with javascript.
