I am performing a postgres server migration on azure but I keep getting a failure. Every time I migrate it fails on extensions with the following error:
Data migration could not be started for one or more of the DBSets. Error details: PGv2RestoreError: PG Restore failed for database 'DATABASE_NAME' with exit code '1' and error message 'error: could not execute query: ERROR: must be owner of extension hypopg'.
Any ideas? The data appears to be in the tables, but the migration in the Azure portal just says failed. This is happening on two servers.
I am attempting to create and use an oracle DB.
Was able to create the DB using sql plus however when I attempt to connect to it via sqldeveloper I get the following error
Status : Failure -Test failed: IO Error: The Network Adapter could not establish the connection
When I check that all services are running I notice OracleVssWriterORCL is not running.
However upon attempting to start it I get the following error:
Windows could not start OracleVssWriterORCL service on local machine Error 0x80070005: Access is Denied
This is my first time using Oracle for DB so any help is greatly appreciated.
I should also note this is on a windows 10 VM
As stated above my listener was not running and going into cmd using the lsnrctrl start command fixed that issue but now I get a ORA-12505 error. Oh the fun of learning new things
Hi I have one doubt in ssis
I want delete the data in the target server(postgres) tables data using ssis package.
database: postgres server
Table: emp
in execute sql task, script is: delete from emp and connection used odbc
When I run the executesql task in ssis package
if emp table have data then its working fine and I am getting the error when emp table does not have data.
[Execute SQL Task] Error: Executing the query "delete from emp
usin..." failed with the following error: "Error HRESULT E_FAIL has been returned from a call to a COM component.". Possible failure reasons: Problems with the query, "ResultSet" property not set correctly, parameters not set correctly, or connection not established correctly.
suppose if i run same query in pgadmin tool that time it is not getting any error even though emp table does not have data.
could you please tell me how to avoid this issue in ssis package
In Execute SQL Task component , you should type your delete script in transaction block like below ;
BEGIN;
DELETE FROM yourtable;
COMMIT;
I have been trying to resolve this error which was working for so long
out of nowhere we have started facing this issue.
My application, which is a plain Java web application (Jsp/Servlets and couple of utilities and control classes) running on Tomcat 8
One of the functionality is, the user keys in an id which is a key for a DB query to fire up the Database and get the results
In doing so I get this below error, which is more or less a symptom of user not having the privilege to execute the query on the
Db2 Database table.
When I am trying out the same query from any kind of Db2 Client tools or SQL prompt, I don't get this error at all:
" com.ibm.db2.jcc.b.eo: DB2 SQL Error: SQLCODE=-551, SQLSTATE=42501, SQLERRMC=M25044"
SQLCODE -551 means that the User executing the Query does not have the right Privilege. So find out which User is running the Query and grant the Privilege to that User. May be from other SQL Clients you use a different User.
I have been working in SAS connecting to DB2 via ODBC for a while now and this PROC SQL step generally works:
proc sql;
connect to odbc(dsn=DSQ user="UserID" password="Password");
execute (set current degree = 'ANY' ) by ODBC;
create table tempTable as select * from connection to odbc (
select *
from schemaName.tableName
);
quit;
However, occassionally I get the following error, and when I get this error I won't be able to run another ODBC query for quite some time because everytime I try to run the query I get the same error:
ERROR: CLI error trying to establish connection: [IBM][CLI Driver] SQL1042C An unexpected system
error occurred. SQLSTATE=58004
After some time the error either resolves itself or I do something that I am not aware of that fixes the issue. This is a very frustrating issue and since I never know how long this issue is going to persist I would like a more robust solution to this issue. I have checked the db2diag.log file and here is the part that describes this error:
2015-06-03-08.17.34.345000-300 I60888H446 LEVEL: Error

I was trying to find an example to put in this post so I ran this snippet of code in SAS to see if the error would come back, however it seemed to have resolved the error because after running this piece of code, I ran the initial code and it worked. Here is the code that seemed to have resolved the issue.
proc sql;
connect to odbc(dsn=DSQ user="UserID" password="Password");
execute (set current degree = 'ANY' ) by ODBC;
create table column_names as select * from connection to odbc (
select * from sysibm.syscolumns
);
quit;
I have tried googling this issue, but there isn't much help on this particular error. Is there any reason that the second SAS code would have fixed the issue I was having? Is there any way to fix this problem so it won't come back in the future?
Please note, when the error occurs, I am still able to run queries via ODBC in Microsoft Access without any problems. It appears this is an issue with just a particular instance.
System Setup:
Windows 7 64-bit
SAS 9.3 (32)
DB2 v10.5.300.125
Thanks in advance for your help!
Update:
On a few occasions, I was able to go into task manager and delete some processes that were still running and then this issue would resolve itself, however today when this problem occurred, those processes weren't there. Any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated.
The symptom may be depended on the installation order of Db2 connect and a program (sas.exe). If DB2 connect is installed first, it should not be occurred. So it is suggested to remove and re-install both products once then install Db2 connect first.
Hope this helps.
