How to Check node existence in dell boomi, Like I have name element in source and sometime name is blank then I do not want to map that data on the target.
You can use Decision Shape component for this purpose.
From the configuration window in the First Value parameter Choose Profile Element -> select your profile and then your element(on the basis you want to add conditon) From the configuration window in the Second Value parmeter Choose Static and blank value. Now the Decision shape will behave as per your requirement. If the element has a value it will go to True branch else it will go to False branch. Find more option and information:Decision Shape example Boomi I hope it answers your question.
The mapping behavior you'll see is that the document that comes out of the map will not have any data profile fields that weren't set.
The destination data profile in the map can have a default value set to guard against the source data missing the desired field contents.
If I understand your question, if the name element/field is blank for a given mapped document, the document that emerges will "not map" that field, it will emerge with that mapped field missing.
Dell's doc on this doesn't cover your question, but does have some helpful detail: http://help.boomi.com/atomsphere/GUID-CA9E44A0-5621-46AE-8419-C334B374D7E3.html

I'm working with a windows application and at a certain point I should select an edit field to be filled with some text. The problem is that next to the field it's a button and next to the button it's another field that (in the UI Automation helper) has the same name as the first one. Blue Prism is throwing an error: More than one element matched the query terms. How can I select just the first field? If I can't do that, is any option to change the name of the second field?
The easiest solution would be to check the "Match" checkbox for the "Match Index" property for each of the two entries in the Application Modeler and test to see which responds to a value of 1, and which responds to a value of 2.
It's important to note that this will more often than not make your solution more sensitive to interface changes within the target application.
How can we notify a user to select a value to a drop-down field in Azure DevOps work item without making it a required field.
The reason of not making it mandatory is because it is not a compulsory information.
But the reason for this 'way to notify' is to make sure that this value is to be filled when it is relevant (which is most of the time - but not all the time).
There is no option to add a notification on a field without making it mandatory, but there is a workaround to force the user to think about the value of the field.
You can add an additional boolean field who is enabled by default. This field can be used to create a rule for your original field, to indicate if it is required or not.
So to set this up you have to add the following fields/rules to your work item type:
2 fields:
originalFieldName (the field with extra attention)
booleanFieldName (Boolean, default value: true)
2 Rules:
When a work item is created
Then set the value of booleanFieldName to 1
When the value of booleanFieldName Equals 1
Then make originalFieldName required
With this solution the user always have to fill in the field or make the field is optional by deselecting the boolean field.
If you just want a message to be displayed in the work item to notify user to select a value. There is a workaround that you can create a customized process. You can customize the fields and pages in the your custom process.
For testing, i create a custom process and add a notification text to a group name to indicate use to select a value for a field. Please refer to below step.
1, Go to the Process section in the Organization Settings, and select the process that you want your custom process inherit from.
2, Then choose the work item type you want to edit. You can edit or add a fields or group to the work item type. For below example, i edit the title for Planning group to add a notification message.
For more information about custom process please refer the official documents.
If you already choose a process to your project. You can refer the detailed steps here to change your project process to the customized process.
Hope you find above helpful.
I am new to CR, and I think this is a complicated question. When a user runs the report, I want the user to input either nothing - which will get everything, or to input the values for that field - to get those specific values. Let me know if I am approaching this right.
I am trying to use a formula in the record selection formula editor. This formula references a parameter. I am trying to use WrkOrder.Center field - which is a number - in my selection criteria.
I am getting the error "a number is required here" in the record selection formula editor. I need to do a totext or cstr ? It just seems to still be incorrect.
if the center is blank then get all centers, else get the selected center input in the parameters by the users running the report.
if {?Center}="" then true else {?Center}=cstr({WRKORDER.CENTERNBR})
if {?Center} = "" then true else {?Center}={WRKORDER.CENTERNBR}
parameters to get what is either input or get all centers
First thing to check is the data type of your parameter and the data type of database field to ensure they match.
If you edit your parameter the first three controls on the form at the top are Name, Type, and List of Values. The Drop Down Box for Type will identify the data type of your parameter.
To identify the data type of your database field, find the field in the Field Explorer and if you don't already see a data type listed next to the column names for each table, right click on any field name and click "Show Field Type" and this will toggle the display of the field data type on and/or off. Its usually off by default I believe.
In order to use a comparison with the = operator, these two objects must have matching data types. You aren't able to change the data type of a database field, but you can change the data type of your parameter to match it.
Hopefully this will fix your error. The most common cause of the error message you are receiving is when one field is a Number type and the other is a Text type. Functions that convert the data will work in formula fields, but usually will continue to throw errors when used in selection expert formulas.
I am creating an org chart from an excel spreadsheet. Each row has Employee Name and Job Title, but also Employee ID and Supervisor Employee ID (both number data types).
I am using the Organization Chart Wizard to automatically create an org chart as a starting point (its pretty big). In doing so, I use the two numeric fields in the "name" and "reports to" fields because we have employees with the same name. However, I do not want these numerical fields displayed in the org chart shapes. You can see in the second picture I cannot remove the three default fields from the chosen "Shape Data Fields."
Here's what the shapes look like, I want to remove the number field altogether. Regardless of the shape stencil I select, I get the same behavior.
If I try to delete the shape, I get the error "shape protection, container and/or layer properties prevent complete execution." Even when I go to Developer -> Protection -> Unlock, the issue persists. Thus, it must be an issue with the container or layer properties.
Lastly, this page has a "To Delete a data field" section at the bottom. I tried exactly this, and the fields were removed from the Define Shape Data box, but the shapes remained unchanged, still showing all fields:

Tweak the master you want to use by decorticating its structure.
In the drawing explorer check whether the shape (the master) is group or a single shape. Find out where the ID (the 3rd field) is used for display, adjust accordingly by correcting the shapesheet.
Sorry for such a generic explanation. If we could exchange files, I would have had a look at your master and could have corrected it.
HTH, Y.
I had the same issue, and eventually found that I could prevent the ID field (used in Name) from displaying, using Display Options - on the Org Chart tab, using the dialog box launcher button (bottom-right) in the Shapes section.
The ID field is shown as 'Name' under Block 2 - you can use the drop-down to set this to 'None' (so that it doesn't display at all), or pick one of the other fields that you chose to display in its place.
I am trying to store metadata (basically a unique id) along with each cell of a table in a Word document. Currently, for the add-in I'm developing, I am querying the database, and building a table inside the Word document using the data that is retrieved.
I want to be able to save any of the user's edits to the document, and persist it back to the database. My initial thought was to store a unique id along with each cell in the table so that I would be able to tell which records to update. I would also like to store some sort of "isChanged" flag within each cell so that I could tell which cells were changed. I found that I could add the needed information into the "ID" property of the cell - however, that information was not retained if the user saved the document, closed it, and re-opened it. I then tried storing the data by adding a data to the "Fields" collection - but that did not work and threw a runtime error. Here is the code that I tried:
object t1 = Word.WdFieldType.wdFieldEmpty;
object val = "myValue: " + counter;
object preserveFormatting = true;
tbl.Cell(i, j).Range.Fields.Add(tbl.Cell(i, j).Range, ref t1, ref val, ref preserveFormatting);
This compiles fine, but throws this runtime error "This command is not available".
So, is this possible at all? Or am I headed in the wrong direction?
Thanks in advance.
Wound up using "ContentControls" to store the information I needed. I used the "Title" field to store the unique id, and the "tag" field to track whether the field had been changed or not. See this link for more info: http://blogs.technet.com/gray_knowlton/archive/2010/01/15/associating-data-with-content-controls.aspx
Since a "Word 2007 Document" is XML, you can add a namespace to the document then adore the elements with attributes from your namespace. Word should ignore your namespace when loading and saving. Moreover, you can add new elments to store any information (metadata) needed.
With that said, I have not used this technique with Word, but I have done it successfully using Excel 2003.
First thing to try, is create a bare "Word 2007 Document". In your case, add a simple two by two table. Open it with a text or XML editor and add your namespace, and adore an attribute and add an element. Open with Word make a change then save it. Open with editor and make sure your namespace attribute and element have not been changed.
