I am trying to set up the Faceted search (ke_search) in TYPO3 7.6.4.
I followed all the steps of the quick installation in the documentation but then doing a test search doesn't seem to do anything.
I am inexperienced in this area so it's possible I have missed some obvious part that the documentation didn't feel the need to state... or is there some trick to get this working?

I'm currently tracking the visitors of the website. I've added a new facet and the information is being added to MongoDB.
I thought that the experience profile would pick this new info but apparently not. I tried to find a way of showing this facet but what I've found so far seems way too complex. https://jonathanrobbins.co.uk/2016/03/15/extending-sitecore-experience-profile-experienceprofilecontactviews/
Anyone found any good documentation on how to do this?
Thanks
Should be pretty simple. I am trying to find what theme is being loaded in Magento to create my own custom theme. The problem is the mine (ver. 1.7.0.2) has no files in the frontend->default->default folder so I can't put any print statements there or see which template Magento is loading to learn more about it. Print statements in base->default don't seem to work either.
And where is the home page template located?
I don't know why Magento makes this so hard or maybe I'm just looking at old info that's not applicable anymore.
Turn on template path hints. Also disable the cache from System > Cache Management while you are doing any theme work.
+1 for other answer suggesting you turn on template path hints. That is a great way to figure out the structure of how things work in Magento.
I would also recommend the user guide. It's been updated to apply to 1.7. You used to have to pay for the guide but they make it available for free now.

As well as the latest designers guide that has info specific for templates etc.

I've been trying struggling over the last 2 weeks to find a viable way to configure a Wordpress installation as a membership directory that pulls information from user profiles (custom and default) and displays it in a presentable (possibly sortable) format.
Initially, something along the lines of the Sobi2 plugin for Joomla! was searched for, but to no avail. I stumbled on to a fairly straightforward blog entry on the subject, but it just seemed to list plugins without instructions on how to use them. see below.

Any suggestions on decent plugins that can achieve what I'm looking for?
I'd like to avoid shelling out $175 for an enterprise plugin like aMember if possible.

You must go with DirectoryPress if cost is not barrier. This is excellent Directory Plugin. Check below link...

If you're looking for Free Plugins then here are few of them...

I have a basic java-maven-wicket project and need a persistence layer. I want to start with something fairly simple and low maintenance so I can concentrate on the business logic. I've been using db4o directly but have been having some issues and would like to move to using datanucleus as it supports both db4o or regular rdbms. Unfortunately the docs are a bit of a mess and none really show you how to set up a project from scratch - at least not with maven.
Does anyone know of a good tutorial? Are there any books on Datanucleus?
No idea what "a bit of a mess" is since you don't define what is not understandable to you.
Obviously if you just clicked on "Guides" in the docs (top level navigation) then you could just see "Use with Maven2".
Or then you could go to the docs and just type in "Maven" in the search box, and use the first link on the page to find the exact same doc.
I looked on CKEditor's website and I noticed that there's no plugins documentation yet.
But I'm wondering if there is any anywhere else?
I'd like to make a little plugin to add youtube video from CKEditor. Pretty simple plugin but still I'd like to know how to make it.
Documentation is sparse at the moment, but not completely non-existent.
Check out my CKEDitor link survival pack from a previous question.
As a starting point, you may want to copy and use one of the existing plugins (the unpacked ones from the _source directory, of course).
The symbols plugin is extremely simple but shows the basic points of inserting HTML into the editor
The links plugin may be a good starting point for how to add input fields, tabs, and make them interact (If you want to go the road of understanding CKEditor's highly sophisticated dialog layout system, that is. My cup of tea, it wasn't. You may want to just set up an Iframe dialog, and do everything by yourself).
Since this question was first posted, CK has added documentation for creating plugins - http://docs.cksource.com/CKEditor_3.x/Tutorials/Abbr_Plugin_Part_1
