I am new to bluemix part. I followed link https://mobilefirstplatform.ibmcloud.com/tutorials/en/foundation/7.1/ibm-containers/run/ which is great. Got in all steps.
I have copied my project war file in usr/projects directory as per documents and steps in link. But after completing all steps i can not able to open mobilefirst console. But container is created which I can see on bluemix. Also created public IP. still can not able to open.
So I can not deploy external war file or what on trial version of bluemix? Can someone help me in that.

"I have copied my project war file in usr/projects directory as per documents" - Where does it written that you should copy the .war file? Instead you should set the PROJECT_LOC property to point to the root directory of your MobileFirst project. Also you can't put any IP, you need to assign one. Read the "Step 3: Using the configuration files" section for more details.

Where are the deployed war files located on the server file system?
How do I download them? I tried using the JBoss CLI as well as the Web Interface.
Found the war files to be located here. In this directory I found several subdirectories. The war files were all named content and did not have an extension. I could figure out what they were based on file size and timestamp.
wildfly location\standalone\data\content
You want the files 'after' they have been deployed? This generally isn't a good idea as it isn't guaranteed to be exactly the same as the source archive.
The standard location for the deployment archives is ./standalone/deployments/ although this can be changed in the configuration.
After an archive is deployed you can see the exact location of there the deployed archive came from in the configuration, it will be written to the bottom of the xml file.
There is a download button to download the .war
in the management console localhost:9990
click the view button near your war
on top you will find a download icon
I found it in the %WILDFLY_HOME%\standalone\temp\ directory. If it is not present there then you can perform a search in all the subdirectories of the wildfly.
I'm trying to use Openshift to host my java webapps. The problem I am running into is every time I go to my application "http://omniticketmvc-leviliester.rhcloud.com/" it takes me to a "Welcome to your JBossEWS (Apache/Tomcat) application on OpenShift".
I thought maybe it was because my project had some sort of default .war that was being deployed instead of the one I wanted. To try to confirm that I followed this guide made by to deploy a pre-compiled War file. https://www.openshift.com/kb/kb-e1088-how-to-deploy-pre-compiled-java-applications-war-and-ear-files-onto-your-openshift-gear .
As you can imagine that did not work. The guide implies that I should be able to find my webapp running at app-domain.rhcloud.com/mywebsite with "mywebsite" being the name of the war file my project created. In this scenario my Application war file is name "OmniTicket". I can find that war file on the server using ssh but the directory hierarchy is confusing to me.
I also tried looking in logs on the server but I don't see any errors to indicate a malfunction in spring or database connections. Any help would be appreciated. Specifically when I deploy my application to the Jboss Server without any obvious errors, why can't I get to the application root?
I should also mention it is a SpringMVC restful service application that works locally.
Try following steps:
Rename your war name to ROOT.war
Delete the src and pom.xml. If pom.xml is present then OpenShift would try to build the maven project
Place the war in deployments folder under your application root folder
Commit the war and push changes to application Git repository.
Check the logs using rhc tail command
I am trying to deploy a war file in a WildFly gear through a SFTP client.
I have followed the directions described here:
https://www.openshift.com/kb/kb-e1088-how-to-deploy-pre-compiled-java-applications-war-and-ear-files-onto-your-openshift-gear but can't find anything about WildFly.
More specifically I was hoping to find app-root/dependencies/wildfly/deployments but as fas as I can tell there is no such directory.
Is there something I am missing or should I only use the git way for wildfly war deployement?
Thank you in advance
If you just want to easily deploy a war file, I would suggest using rhc port-forward (as shown here in the README https://github.com/openshift-cartridges/openshift-wildfly-cartridge/blob/master/README.md) and use the web interface to deploy it. I wrote that article and it does need to have WildFly added, I'll try to get it updated this week. From what I can see right off, you should put your war file into ~/wildfly/standalone/deployments to deploy it via SFTP. If you run this command find . -name "*deployed" when you ssh into your gear, you will see the ROOT.war.deployed in that directory.
I want to deploy an Azure deployment project.
I am using eclipse version kepler, and i already installed the azure SDK and the plugin for eclipse.
The problem is, that there is no samples folder in my project after i create it.
So i can not copy the tomcat-sample-script into my startup file. I have no idea why this is not created. I made a tutorial step by step but it did not create this folder.
Here is the tutorials i tried to do:
http://dotnetslackers.com/articles/net/Developing-a-Hello-World-Java-Application-and-Deploying-it-in-Windows-Azure1.aspx
http://dotnetslackers.com/articles/net/Developing-a-Hello-World-Java-Application-and-Deploying-it-in-Windows-Azure2.aspx
Does anybody know why the folder was not created or where i can get these sample-scripts from?
I hope you can help me!
I am a new user in GWT and I want to deploy one of existed samples in my localhost. I could run the example by eclipse and get the result. But I need to deploy that example in my localhost (IIS). How can I do this?
Copy the contents of your project's war directory to your server's document root. You could create a folder there, mproject for example. Then load your project on a web browser: localhost/mproject to view.
Go into your project's war directory For EX:
C:\workspace\HelloWorld\war
Select all the files & folders available inside war directory.
Zip all the selected files & folders in a file called HelloWorld.zip.
Rename HelloWorld.zip to HelloWorld.war.
Deploy it to the server
