I have a folder structure:
/mama-mia
/framework
/classses
FrameworkClass1.py - contains FrameworkClass1
/projects
/project1
Project1Class.py - contains Project1Class
inside Project1Class.py
from framework.classses import FrameworkClass1
Eclipse shows error in this line "Unresolved inmport". How to fix this error - in Eclipse only. For runtime it is worknig as paths are added dynamically.
You need to set the /framework parent folder as a source folder (i.e.: that's the folder that's added to the PYTHONPATH).
See: http://www.pydev.org/manual_101_project_conf2.html for more details.

I'm trying to get started with what should be a very simple Solidity contract but VSCode is giving me a hard time.
I'm using Juan Blancos solidity plugin but VSCode cannot find openzepplin imports
import "#openzeppelin/contracts/token/ERC20/ERC20.sol";
The error is:
Source "#openzeppelin/contracts/token/ERC20/ERC20.sol" not found: File import callback not supported
Even though vscode shows red squigglies I can compile successfully via hardhat compile.
If I change the path to
import "../node_modules/#openzeppelin/contracts/token/ERC20/ERC20.sol";
VScode stops complaining but then I cannot compile via hardhard, with the error being:
Source "node_modules/#openzeppelin/contracts/security/Pausable.sol" not found: File outside of allowed directories.
My VSCode settings for Solidity extension for both User and Workspace are:
"solidity.packageDefaultDependenciesContractsDirectory": "contracts",
"solidity.packageDefaultDependenciesDirectory": "node_modules"
Which corresponds to my project structure
root
|_ contracts
|_ MyToken.sol
|_ node_modules
|_ #openzepplin
I followed the instructions here and have done extensive researching but unfortunately can't get it to working.
Source "#openzeppelin/contracts/token/ERC20/ERC20.sol" not found: File import callback not supported
I had same issue. I had multiple folders added in the unnamed workspace. After removing all other folders and keeping only one project folder resolved issue for me.
Linting issues
If you see something along the lines of:
ParserError: Source "OpenZeppelin/openzeppelin-contracts#3.4.0/contracts/access/Ownable.sol" not found: File not found.
import "#openzeppelin/contracts/access/Ownable.sol";
In your vscode, these and be safely ignored. However you can also add to your settings to ignore these.
Create a .vscode folder at the root of your project.
Create a file called settings.json
Add the following code:
{
"solidity.remappings": [
"#chainlink/=/Users/patrick/.brownie/packages/smartcontractkit/chainlink-brownie-contracts#0.2.2",
"#openzeppelin/=/Users/patrick/.brownie/packages/OpenZeppelin/openzeppelin-contracts#4.3.2"
]
}
Or whatever version your #chainlink and #openzeppelin contracts need. For example:
For more information see here
Use single quotes instead of doubles.
Instead of:
import "#openzeppelin/contracts/token/ERC20/ERC20.sol";
use this:
import '#openzeppelin/contracts/token/ERC20/ERC20.sol';
I use PyCharm and Eclipse with PyDev.
To be specific, I am using Odoo and setting up project.
https://github.com/odoo/odoo
Here is the folder structure.
odoo-12
|-addons
| '-web
| '-...
|-odoo
'-addons
'-...
In source code for example:
addons/purchase/controllers/portal.py
# Unresolved yet this is the official source code
from odoo.addons.web.controllers.main import Binary
# Resolved perfectly
from addons.web.controllers.main import Binary
I understand the reason why this one works
from addons.web.controllers.main import Binary
but how can I make this works instead?
from odoo.addons.web.controllers.main import Binary
I cannot and should not modify any Odoo source code to make IDE resolving path correctly
In Eclipse/PyDev you should be able to set your source folder to the folder containing odoo and it should work...
I downloaded the OfBiz Java application and the following line throws an MissingResourceException:
ResourceBundle res = ResourceBundle.getBundle(settingsResourceName);
The value of settingsResourceName is "cache", but I cannot find any file called cache.properties or cache_en.properties.
Where should I be looking? I'm new to Java. All my research on SO says there should be such a file.
I imported OfBiz in Eclipse using the Import menu option and selecting Existing Project from File System (I'm not in front of my dev machine so I don't remember the exact wording). But I chose the root folder of the downloaded OfBiz.
I then added the appropriate VM Arguments in the Run Configuration to get it to run properly at least. And that's it, on the first Run I got the above error. I think it has to do with a missing class path but I don't know what to add to class path.

UPDATE:
My mistake, I found two files both called cache.properties in the following folders:
ofbiz-trunk/build/resources/main
ofbiz-trunk/framework/base/config
But these are folders, not packages. I tried putting them in the .classpath but that did not work, I still kept getting the same error.
As suspected, I knew it was because of a missing reference to a class path. After looking at a section on this page: http://www.opensourcestrategies.com/ofbiz/ofbiz_eclipse.php, I learned that I was supposed to go to the Java Build Path and in the Libraries tab, click on Add Class Folder, then point that to ofbiz-trunk/framework/base/config. Which is where I have one of the cache.properties files.
I'm trying to import an existing project into Eclipse. I did the following steps:
- I downloaded the source from a repository.
- I ran ./autogen.sh
- I ran ./configure
- I selected Makefile Project with Existing Code from Eclipse File menu
The class files are now grouped by type (.h and .cpp) and I can reach .cpp from .h by pressing ctrl+Tab and vice versa.
When I press Build, the building starts and works fine. If I put syntax errors inside a file the make returns an error.
However Eclipse's intellisense reports many error like "Function snprintf could not be resolved", and "Symbol 'NULL' could not be resolved".
How can I hide/resolve these errors? Was my import procedure incomplete?
You should add /usr/include to the path (see http://help.eclipse.org/juno/topic/org.eclipse.cdt.doc.user/tasks/cdt_t_proj_paths.htm) or tune the Discovery options (http://help.eclipse.org/juno/topic/org.eclipse.cdt.doc.user/reference/cdt_u_newproj_discovery_options.htm?cp=11_4_6_8_2_2)
I am tryin to develop a game in j2m using eclipse. To handle floating point I have downloaded the MathFp class. I did the following steps
i placed the mathFP.class file in net/jscience/math/kvm/ directory
1> Ziped the folder containig the downloaded class.
2> java build path->libraries->ADD jar->selected my zipped folder.
3> in the source code of my project i wrote import net.jscience.math.kvm.MathFP;
But when i compile it it shows NoClassDefFoundError
Ensure the relevant jar is checked in the "Java Build Path" -> "Order and Export" window.
