Visual Studio Team Services (was VS Online) not showing GitHub repository type - github

I'm trying to setup an integration between my GitHub and VSTS account.
I'm creating a build definition to build and deploy my code to my azure web app. From all the things I've read online (I've been trying to make this work for at least some 3h now) this should be so simple I'm reconsidering calling myself a developer... =/
I've added the Service Endpoint:
But it doesn't show up at the build definition:
The other service endpoints for azure work fine, I'm able to set them at the build definition, but the GitHub just won't work! I've tried signing out, using chrome's private window, removing and re-adding the endpoint, using IE, nothing makes that damn thing show up as an option in the dropdown.
Does anyone have any ideas?
EDIT - ScreenCast
http://screencast-o-matic.com/watch/cDif6XiUSZ
After 3 days and no answer from MS I kept trying to figure it out and it seems this account is running on an old version.(?)
I have another account that's working fine and I started to compare both, here's why I think that:
Different versions
no online column and different header (Account profile vs Account/acc_name)

Perhaps you are right that your account is running in an old server.
I created one in India South and experienced the same behavior.
Then I deleted it and created one in South US and I can see my GitHub repository.

Can't connect to Azure Devops using Eclipse plugin

I'm using eclipse 2019, and I'm trying to integrate it with my company's Azure DevOps, or rather one specific project/repo in that.
After some quick googling, I found a tutorial (which I followed) that involved installing some software through eclipse for Team Explorer Everywhere, a plugin that supposedly performs this automation. However, after installing said plugin and attempting to connect to my company's Devops project, I get stuck in an authentication loop. More specifically, once I point it to the project's url from Azure Devops and give it the correct credentials, Eclipse asks me to click a link and paste a code it gives me into a field in that link once I sign in on the web. I do this, and the website tells me that authentication has been successful and that I should close the browser window. So, I do that. Then I hit "OK" in Eclipse, and the popup I've been in closes.
Now, this is where one might THINK that I would be connected to the Azure repo, but instead when the popup closes it just brings me back to the part where it asks me for a project url, with no changes having been made. I can complete these steps ad infinitum with no difference.
I've tried reinstalling the plugin, using a few different versions of eclipse (like Neon), and several different source urls.
I'd love to share any error messages, but I get nothing. It just blankly returns to the start of the process. The end result I'm looking for is for my Azure repo and and an Eclipse project to be synced.

VS-OnLine - Build/Release Error: Config is missing for service

I'm trying to create a build and release to a actors service in Visual Studio Online. I already created build and release to anothers services fabric without problem. But with this specific service I getting the error below:
The BuildLayout of the application in E:\SFabric\SP\SP2DS\Fabric\work\ImageBuilderProxy\AppType\SchedulerServiceAppType is invalid. Config is missing for service SchedulerServicePkg.
The first time the release works fine, but after the first version is released, the others releases I got this error.
The others services are Stateless, I dont know why this problem happens and just with this service that is Stateful.
New Information
I'm trying to change advantages setting and I got successful sometimes.
Even that, I want to know how I do correctly
# Novac - Just noticed a duplicate post on Github addressing this specific issue. More importantly, a member of Azure's Service Fabric Dev team is actively engaged and waiting for your response to his followup questions - ref snip below:

OPS Hub - unable to migrate project

I am trying to migrate one project from tfs on prem to VSTSO . I am getting the following error
Ops Hub error
I have successfully migrated couple of projects before but this one wont go . I did notice one thing when i was migrating . It gave different name to the default collection as you see in the screen shot . I have deleted the account and recreated the account and still getting the same. Please advise.
thanks
The issue seems to be a recent change in VSTS as Nicolas pointed out. Currently, the OVSMU tool will not be usable directly. We would be releasing a patched version early next week which will solve this issue.
[Update]: This change is part of the following change annoncement: https://www.visualstudio.com/news/2016-apr-13-vso
I've been able to solve this "page not found" exception by using fiddler and the following rule: oSession.url = oSession.url.Replace("/NameOfTheCollection/Services/v3.0/","/defaultcollection/Services/v3.0/"); But I face another issue on HubOps.
Finally, I used TFS migration tools + fiddler rule described above and I'm able to move forward on this migration.
Another option is to contact microsoft in order to ask for early acces of TFS - VSO migration tool: https://visualstudio.uservoice.com/forums/330519-team-services/suggestions/2264946-import-data-from-tfs-on-prem-into-vs-team-services

How can I achieve this website project deployment strategy?

I have a small team working on web site project using Visual Studio 2010 and with Team Foundation server 2012.
In order to have proper control on deployment, I would like to implement my dream deployment strategy as shown in the figure ( https://www.dropbox.com/sc/foy5fh7pntreiha/AAB4L4hhbpjcm1zHi6VBLSa6a )
There is no problem for my team to perform the check in/out between their development pc with the TFS server. But I have problem to deploy code from TFS server to targeted web server.
I read many articles talking about build deploy, but for me I don't think I need to do build because mine is not a web application and we basically have all the codes in the targeted web server. We don't need to build the project into dll and then only upload to web server.
I tried using "copy website" feature in Visual Studio 2010, but on the copy website panel, it is always local programmer pc code at the left hand side and the targeted web server on the right hand side.
I wanted this deployment flow because I think this is the safest flow so that no one will accidentally upload the wrong version of code into the web server. Everyone would have no choice but to check in their code(s) into the TFS server before he/she can upload into the web server.
Please kindly help me.
Thanks
Dont do that.
Instead use Stage / Production server, Stage and Master git branches,
Tell them to exclusively work out of stage, you control the merge to master,
use deployhq or similar service to hook into git(github) and trigger automatic deployments.
Much better than VS, much safer. Should a deploy not work due to file error, DHQ will prevent the entire deployment and revert to old state.

Publish-AzureServiceProject is not updating files on the cloud

I have a PHP Azure project which I have to manage with Powershell cmdlets. One of these, Publish-AzureServiceProject doesn't seem to be detecting file changes so these are not updated on the cloud (even though no errors are displayed).
I have remote desktop'd into the machines and the code is definitely not updated from weeks ago.
If I deploy to the local emulator, it is fine but this is much more obvious because it displays "removing old package" and "creating local package". The cloud package definitely contains the latest files, so the packaging is working fine.
Can anyone tell me how to force the publish to update the files on the cloud and more importantly, why this is not happening? Also, if I force the update, will it deploy to a new box and get a new IP Address?
Thanks.
It seems to work now.
I have removed and reinstalled azure libraries from my machine and created a new project from scratch and copied the original files over into it. I have not included diagnostics (not sure if that's an issue) and I have modified the Publish-AzureServiceProject script to select the subscription each time before it publishes.
It is possible that the subscription confusion was not helping (I have two Azure subscriptions and it might have used the wrong one at some point and done something weird) and also it was possible there was some conflict with various versions of the Azure SDK since I have been using it for over 6 months but at the moment, all is good.
