I am using tableau for visualization. In one of my dashboard, i am creating a bubble chart for displaying no of population growth on Y-o-Y, based on the data from the extracts.
This dashboard shows different bubbles calculated based on each year. On clicking each bubble, it will display the additional data information inside the bubble for the year. The other bubbles in the dashboard will be grayed-out.
Everything is working good. But i could see that, when i click one bubble, the top and bottom position in bubble is getting cropped off. The other bubbles are getting grayed-off as normal.
Note: I need to display 4 dashboards in one visualization as per guidelines. Maybe the height and width used for dashboards could be an issue.
All i want to know is, whether this is default behavior since tableau takes height and width automatically in my visualizations?
Thanks,

I think there is a bug in Row and Column in flutter as you can see from the image attached below. I was creating a custom calendar and noticed that there is a small space between some items that varies with the screen resolution. So i tested it on the Web with the built in layout editor and i found the same bug.
If i change my page zoom the space comes and goes according to my zoom percentage as you can see the picture.
I need the solution to this problem as i am stuck on this last problem.
My problem is very difficult to describe, so hopefully (with the pictures I provide) someone can help me figure this out. If you are confident you can fix it, I'm willing to pay if I have to. I need this fixed.
I cannot for the life of me figure out how to work with the Unity canvas/layout groups. I have a series of canvases that only show one at a time (think of them as screens). Inside each canvas are components (the first one is a graph and timer, and then a data panel and some buttons.
Here is an image of what I'd like each of the panels to look like (only one of these will be open at a time):
Essentially, I just want each sub-canvas (the dark gray boxes) to inhabit ~50% x 50% of the screen, and when the orientation is horizontal/vertical, tile them accordingly.
Each Child panel (the dark gray) only needs to change. The children inside of the panel can stay and scale relative to the parent canvas.
I have tried EVERYTHING, dug through the documentation, and have run out of options.
Have you tried adding a Layout Element to all of those gray panels with a Flexible Width or Height setting? The screenshot below shows how to have two panels that are side by side, both occupying half the width of their container. (Both have a Flexible Width setting of 1.)
The two Panels are children of the Canvas that has a Horizontal Layout group like this:
I wanted to know how the below functionalities can be achieved on tableau:
1. Resize the dashboard on the tableau server based on the screen size and
2. Maintain the % area occupied by each visual (worksheets on the dashboard) on the tableau server to be constant.
Ex, a visual should occupy 30% of the total width and 40% of the total height of the dashboard such that, regardless of the screen size, if this kind of height and width % are defined for every dashboard then the visuals will all be proportional to the screen size.
Situation:
I've built a dashboard with a lot of visuals (3 x 3 matrix of visuals) and each of different sizes. When I fix the size of the dashboard, it all looks good but when published on the server there's an obvious issue of scroll appearing on the web page depending on the screen size of the desktop it is being opened in.
I know tableau has an automatic resizing feature. But the issue is - I have almost 9 images on my dashboard and if I allow tableau to resize based on the screen, the height and width are out of control and some of the alignments are out of place as well.
Current settings:
I've made sure the worksheets on the dashboards are all within containers and I also know that i should not be fixing the height or width given we want the automatic resizing to work based on screen size.
Currently I'm showing a single chart on my website in a responsive div, therefore it gets smaller as the screen width is decreased. My problem is: I'm saving an image of this chart but I need it to be always 700x400 even if my screen is 320x___.
lineChart.toBase64Image();
Is it possible?
I have a line chart as it is showed bellow.
How can I make the x-axis showing off all the data (I need the chart to be in small size), for example as it is appear in the preview bar (I mean by preview bar the scrolling bar under the chart to explore the x-axis value, which I highlighted in red in the second photo). In other words, I want to see somehow the whole data of the x-axis in the chart at once without the preview bar.
I hope someone have an idea to help me out, and much thanks in advance.
I think the answer is that this is a feature, not a bug - as Sense is built to re-size and tailor the view for any screen size you lose control over the minutiae such as what parts of the chart to show.
Sense will always format itself to fit as per predetermined rules in the background.
That being said, the slider at the bottom of the chart displays the entire chart and users can expand the chart to fill the screen. So it might be an idea to instead of trying to fit Sense to your requirements to readjust your users expectations to what Sense can offer.
If you were able to see all the data in such a small chart, it would be unintelligible.
