mbsync error: UID is beyond highest assigned UID - emacs

I'm using emacs 24.5.1 on OSX with mu4e and mbsync. I'm synchronising with my imac and laptop so maybe it's the same error as mentioned here, but no one has posted a solution.
My specific error is that during the sync I'm receiving the following:
mbsync error: UID is 3 beyond highest assigned UID 1
mbsync error: UID is 7 beyond highest assigned UID 6
Any ideas on what's causing this and how to solve it?

I was able to fix this by editing the .uidvalidity file in the folder(s) in question; the second line is the maximum value U= filename. So I just changed this to match and it synced perfectly.

In yourMaildir/INBOX/cur folder (or Maildir/otherfolder/cur), there'll be a file named something like 1568901502.26338_1.hostname,U=3:2,S. You can strip off everything from the ,U= from that filename and resync and it should be fine, e.g.
mv '1568901502.26338_1.hostname,U=3:2,S' '1568901502.26338_1.hostname'
This also solves the duplicate UID error. See http://tiborsimko.org/mbsync-duplicate-uid.html for more info.
This has worked for me – but since mbsync doesn't do it automatically there may be some good reason, so take a backup before you try :)

Try this:
(setq mu4e-change-filenames-when-moving t)
If that doesn't work, you can do what I did and start over by creating a new mu4e Mail folder and resyncing everything. Your messages will just download to the new folder with new UID's.

I had a similar issue with a quite big inbox with lots of nested folders. I wanted to go for the solution #unhammer provided but I had a hard time finding the problematic message. (grepping UID didn't help because I had tons of e-mails with the same UID). What I did was to note the number of the problematic box.
C: 0/1 B: 133/162 M: +0/0 *0/0 #0/0 S: +0/0 *0/0 #0/0
Maildir error: UID 22 is beyond highest assigned
Then I ran with verbose option mbsync -V mymailchannel. The verbose option outputs so much information quite quickly. But I knew where to stop, so I stopped when we passed the number 133. (Of course, you can write it to a file and just grep it with the few lines above).
And there was my problematic folder:
C: 0/1 B: 133/262 M: +0/0 *0/0 #0/0 S: +0/0 *0/0 #0/0
Opening master box INBOX/my_folder/2020/my_other_folder...
Opening slave box INBOX/my_folder/2020/my_other_folder...
Loading master...
Loading slave...
Maildir error: UID 22 is beyond highest assigned UID 21.
And stipped off everything from ,U=22 in my problematic file as #unhammer suggested and my problem was fixed.

error in process sentinel: Could not start nREPL server: java.lang.NumberFormatException: Invalid number

I've looked at all of the similar questions on stack overflow. This one is different enough to warrant a separate question. Basically, I can't start a repl server because I get the error below. It's been pointed out that this is typically a dependency issue, but I'm updated, to my knowledge. What am I getting wrong here? Here's the full error:

EDIT:
So I've gotten farther on this problem and I think I'm down to the last little issue or two. The file that is being pulled that causes the java.lang.NumberFormatException is cider.el which you can finder in your emacs.emacs.d\elpa\cider-[VERSION NUMBER, in my case 20210104.915]. You open your cider.el file and on line 392/393, in this version, you'll find:
(cider-add-to-alist 'cider-jack-in-dependencies
"nrepl/nrepl" "0.8.3")
So changing this line, recompiling it, and reloading emacs gets the number throwing the java.lang.NumberFormatException to change to whatever I changed it to (recompile by using byte-compile-file, hitting enter, then passing it the address of the document). Adding another set of double quotes gets a null value error of sorts (obviously) and doing any type of backslashing for exceptions and sort doesn't seem to solve the issue. So, since the few related posts (though with much less detail) seem to hint at changing the version number, I'm going to have to assume that I have to do that. What version number would work best here?
TEMP SOLUTION SO FAR:
start a repl with "lein repl" in command line and connect to it manually using the connect command "cider-connect" and specifying the localhost (I started the repl in same directory as project and it detected it easily). This is not good enough for me as a permanent solution but gets me up and going temporarily until a better solution is found.
PERMANENT SOLUTION:
see below
Look at your dependencies. I had an issue where my java jdk was basically broken (java's fault, not mine, in so far as the code is concerned). I ended up using the latest OpenJDK (number 15). That worked. If you get lots of java specific type errors and those errors change with the versions that you're using, then consider updating your java jdk. I was using LTE versions before and the latest fixed it.

Unable to load easyPrint into Rstudio

I am very new to R and Leaflet so this may be an easy fix. I am able to create fully functioning maps but people are requesting that they are also able to print the maps without having to use print screen. It appears that easyPrint would be the best solution but I am unable to get it loaded into Rstudio.
I have tried to load it in multiple ways and encounter different errors along the way
install.packages("easyPrint")
Warning in install.packages :
package ‘easyPrint’ is not available (for R version 3.5.2)
(For this I saved it in my documents like it appeared to want me to)

Thanks for any help!
Looking at the package, there is indeed no "master" : branches are called "v2", "gh-pages", ...
You may thus try:
devtools::install_github("rowanwins/leaflet-easyPrint", ref="v2")

Why would LayoutObjectNames return an empty string in FileMaker 14?

I'm seeing some very strange behavior with FileMaker 14. I'm using LayoutObjectNames for some required functionality. On the development system it's working fine. It returns the list of named objects on the layout.
I close the file, zip it up and send it to the client, and that required functionality isn't working. He sends the file back and I open it and get a data viewer up. The function returns nothing. I go into layout mode and confirm that there are named objects on the layout.
The first time this happened and I tried recovering the file. In the recovered file it worked, so I assumed some corruption had happened on his end. I told him to trash the file I had given him and work with a new version I supplied. The problem came up again.
This morning he sent me the oldest version that the problem manifested in. I confirmed the problem, tried recovering it again, but this time it didn't fix the problem.
I'm at a loss. It works in the version I send him, doesn't on his system. We're both using FileMaker 14, although I'm using Advanced. My next step will be to work from a served file instead of a local one, but I have never seen this type of behavior in FileMaker. Has anyone seen anything similar? Any ideas on a fix? I'm almost ready to just scrap the file and build it again from scratch since we're not too far into the project.
Thanks, Chuck
There is a known issue with the Get (FileName) function when the file name contains dots (other that the one before the extension). I will amend my answer later with more details and a possible solution (I have to look it up).
Here's a quote from 2008:
This is a known issue. It affects not only the ValueListItems()
function, but any function that requires the file name. The solution
is to include the file extension explicitly in the file name. This
works even if you use Get (FileName) to return the file name
dynamically:
ValueListItems ( Get ( FileName ) & ".fp7" ; "MyValueList" )
Of course, this is not required if you take care not to use period
when naming your files.
http://fmforums.com/forums/topic/60368-fm-bug-with-valuelistitems-function/?do=findComment&comment=285448
Apparently the issue is still with us - I wonder if the solution is still the same (I cannot test this at the moment).

What do I do when MorphX won't let me check in?

When I go to check something into MorphX VCS right now, I get the following message:
Cannot create a record in SysVersionControlMorphXRevisionTable (SysVersionControlMorphXRevisionTable).
The record already exists.
With things that have already been checked out once, I've been able to resolve this with a get latest and then a new checkout/check in. However, when it comes to doing an Add, I'm completely stuck. Is there a resolution to this or have we completely borked our VCS?
Note: this error is only given when we try to check in from a development project. Checking in directly on the AOT does not give this issue.
Just look at the table SysVersionControlMorphXRevisionTable (in SQL if you can't access) and see what the duplicate record could be. The unique index is ItemPath and Version. I doubt you'll see anything here though.
It's most likely an issue with the call in this method \Data Dictionary\Tables\SysVersionControlMorphXRevisionTable\Methods\latestVersionNumber where it's trying to get the current highest revision and is being called by \Data Dictionary\Tables\SysVersionControlMorphXRevisionTable\Methods\create.
Put a breakpoint in the create method line #48 and see what revision.Version is, and before the insert, check in SQL if the ItemPath/Version already exists in SQL.
I'd guess it's probably a server/client-caching issue. To resolve, refresh all of your client caches under Tools>Caches. If this doesn't resolve, and it's a good idea to do anyway, copy these menu items:
\Menu Items\Action\SysFlushAOD
\Menu Items\Action\SysFlushData
\Menu Items\Action\SysFlushDictionary
\Menu Items\Action\SysFlushReportServer
To a new menu item and change the property RunOn = Server. Then run these and it'll flush your server caches. If this still doesn't work, try restarting the AOS.
If this doesn't work, your users application user cache files might be corrupt. Close your client and delete the *.auc and *.kti files in %LocalAppData% folder (Typically C:\Users\[user]\AppData\Local) and reopen your client.
In the environment you are using, have you restored a copy of another database somewhat recently?
Edit: Now knowing that you did a DB restore, there is a good chance your GLOBALGUID was reused and/or is causing caching issues. See here for more info about how/why this happens.
You should probably stop your AOS and run these SQL commands:
UPDATE SYSSQMSETTINGS SET GLOBALGUID = '00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000'
DELETE FROM SYSCLIENTSESSIONS
DELETE FROM SYSSERVERSESSIONS
Are/were you also having issues with batches running? (Somewhat related, but I'm mainly just curious on this question)

Entity framework 6 + network

I have the following DB Model
At home I work with Visual Studio and SQL-Server on my PC. Now I took the PC at work and tried to create an EFModel using a SQL-Server in our network.
Creating the Model at work I get 44 Errors.
First curious thing (for me) is i get a msgbox with "Running this text template can potentially harm your computer.Do not run it , if u obtained it from an untrusted source..." i confirmed with ok (two times for 2 pop ups). Afterwards I see 44 Errors. After a few minutes I get the same msgbox as above again. After pressing OK a few errors are deleted (now I have 32 Errors).
Since I have the german express version I try to translate the remaining errors by structure:
"Public Property WindesName as String" has many definitions with identical signatures.
variable "_WindowsName" creates a conflict with a property "WindowsName" that is an implicitly declared member of class "Name"
I have this kind of errors for every field.
What I tried: I actually wanted to create the Model into a program, that doesnt work. Then i used a blank application, doesent work too. I reinstalled EF from nuget with no effect.
Maybe it has something to do with the model or with the network. Any help is welcome.
Ok, I was able to fix it. I changed Code Generation Strategy to Standard, deleted the two .tt files and rebuild the project. Now it is working.
