In the account module, I needed to create two relationships "many-to-many" with the same module "Opportunities",
When I access the account module I find that one of the subpanels of oppotunities doesn't contain the arrow icon
to allow me to select the opportunities. Is this normal ?
I am using suiteCRM 7.7.4 (Sugar Version 6.5.24)
Thank you for your help !
Best regards !
No it is not normal , Normally opportunities subpanel have button to select data, So solutions for that is following ,
1. If you installation is new re install it .
2. If it is preexisting than check the code of subpanel-list.php in your opportunities module , i think button will be hide, or find panel-top.php you will get the solution there.
Thank you again for your quick reply Amitesh.
I checked the file modules/Accounts/metadata/subpaneldefs.php,
and I find that there is no array('widget_class' => 'SubPanelTopSelectButton', 'mode' => 'MultiSelect')
in the declaration of $layout_defs['Accounts']['subpanel_setup']['opportunities'] array, so I add it manually and it works now.
There is also another alternative, this one consists of deleting the subpanel
and creating a new one.

I have been researching about this term for so many hours, but I found anything useful yet.
Hope you can help us building this redmine plugin, or provide us some research links to help us find the correct key.
What we want to build
The thing is we want to update one custom field in redmine (let's name it 'Target_CF') whenever another one is created or updated.
We are looking for incrementing possible values of Target_CF, so we can have all custom field's names available to select.
Of course, we want to achieve this without directly editing Redmine's Core, so we thought developing a plugin would be the best approach.
Our plugin also creates and configures a new custom field (the one mentioned above), but I will let this out of the question, because I think it is not relevant for this.
Where we are right now
We have identified some hooks that could be useful for us, as the following:
:controller_custom_fields_new_after_save
:controller_custom_fields_edit_after_save
We have the following directories/files structure so far:
plugins/
custom_plugin/
init.rb
lib/
hooks.rb
The code we have written
init.rb
require_dependency 'hooks'
Redmine::Plugin.register :custom_plugin do
name 'custom_plugin'
author 'author name'
description 'description text'
version '1.0.0'
end
hooks.rb
class Hooks < Redmine::Hook::ViewListener
def controller_custom_fields_edit_after_save(context={ })
#target_custom_field_name = "Target_CF"
CustomField.find_by_name(#target_custom_field_name).possible_values.push(context[:custom_field].name)
end
end
The result of this code is none. I mean, no erros, no updates, nothing at all. There is no change in our possible values after editing/creating another custom field. We are sure there is something we don't know, some concept or workflow, and due to this we are doing something so badly.
Please, help us understeand what we are missing.
Previously we have succesfully developed another plugin that overwrites certain views. So we have kind of little skills in views related plugins, but zero experience at all at controllers ones.
We are using a Redmine 3.2.0 stack by Bitnami and a mysql database.
Well, finally we found out how to extend base controller's methods. I will post it here so hopefully this can be useful to anyone who finds the same doubts we had.
After some more researching, we conclude that it is mandatory to extend base controllers, in order to not directly modify core methods.
This is our final directories/files structures:
plugins/
custom_plugin/
init.rb
lib/
custom_plugin/
issue_custom_field_patch.rb
We previously stated that we could use some hooks to inject our desired functionality, but it seems not to work that way with controllers. On the other hand, we built a patch which will extend target class functionality.
Our final working code
Init.rb
require 'redmine'
ActionDispatch::Callbacks.to_prepare do
require_dependency 'issue_custom_field'
unless IssueCustomField.included_modules.include? CustomPlugin::IssueCustomFieldPatch
IssueCustomField.send(:include, CustomPlugin::IssueCustomFieldPatch)
end
end
Redmine::Plugin.register :custom_plugin do
name 'custom_plugin'
author 'author name'
description 'description text'
version '1.0.0'
end
issue_custom_field_patch.rb
module CustomPlugin
module IssueCustomFieldPatch
def self.included(base) # :nodoc:
base.extend(ClassMethods)
base.send(:include, InstanceMethods)
base.class_eval do
unloadable
after_save :update_possible_values
end
end
end
module ClassMethods
end
module InstanceMethods
def update_possible_values
self.reload
updatedPossibleValues unless self.name == "Target_CF"
end
private
def updatedPossibleValues
#safe_attrs = ['project', 'description', 'due_date', 'category', 'status', 'assigned_to', 'priority', 'fixed_version', 'author', 'lock_version', 'created_on', 'updated_on', 'start_date', 'done_ratio', 'estimated_hours', 'is_private', 'closed_on']
#custom_fields = IssueCustomField.all.select {|cf| !cf[:position].nil?}.collect {|cf| cf.name}
#possible_values = #safe_attrs + #custom_fields
CustomField.find_by_name("Target_CF").update possible_values: #possible_values
end
end
CustomField.send(:include, IssueCustomFieldPatch)
end
Functionality explained
As we stated in the question, we needed to update Target_CF possible values each time the users create/modify/removes a custom field from Redmine.
We extended IssueCustomField's class's instance methods, triggering our new function 'updatedPossibleValues' after each save. This includes creating new custom fields, and of course, updating existing ones and removing them. Because we reload our list of possible values each time, we had to control if its position were nil. If it is, this means that custom field has been removed.
Because of the ultimate action of this patch, which is the updating of another custom field, this also triggered our function, causing an infinite loop. To prevent this, we linked our functionality to every other custom field which name was not 'Target_CF'. A bit rusty fix, but we couldn't find a better approach.
I hope this can be useful to somebody in the future, as they could invest a fraction of time that we spent on this.
Comments, fixes and improvements are very welcome.
Based on: https://www.redmine.org/projects/redmine/wiki/Plugin_Internals which is a bit outdated, but finally could complete the code with help of another resources and forums.
I am using moodle version 2.8, I have added chat activity in course. I wants to remove participants profile link on participants name which display right side of chat window.
So how can I display only name of participants without any link on its name?
Thanks in advance..!
The file you're looking for is /mod/chat/lib.php
I've not tested this but I think the line you're looking for is line 1037 (By GitHub count). You can find that and then change it from
$item['url'] = $CFG->wwwroot.'/user/view.php?id='.$user->id.'&course='.$course->id;
to
$item['url'] = '#';
and then if you want to remove the URL from the list of users as well, go to line 1257 and change it from
$userlink = new moodle_url('/user/view.php', array('id' => $chatuser->id, 'course' => $course->id));
to
$userlink = '#';
There are more references to the profile page peppered around this file (seven reference in total). There's also another reference at the bottom of view.php for the module.
Please note that modifying those files means you'll be creating a
branch from the module's core and is not advised.
Does anybody know how to use the "Conditions" feature in the "Mapping Details" option of the Model.
I have tried adding Conditions like "IsDeleted = False" or "IsDeleted = 0" and nothing works. Just get errors.
Many thanks.
It seems that one cannot use a mapped property. Once I removed this, the condition worked. However this means that one cannot update this property via EF, and instead one has to use raw DDL via ExecuteStoreCommand.
Hope this helps someone. It got me scratching my head !!
This is my 1st question on this forum... So, please, be indulgent !
I'm using TYPO3 4.7.11 (PHP 5.3.3) with extension direct_mail 3.1.1 for the intranet site of a non-profit firm.
My problem (maybe connected to Bug #51583 : http://forge.typo3.org/issues/51583) is that, after numerous tests and attempts, it seems impossible to have an updated version of a page saved as draft for newsletter in an automatic scheduler driven way : the same newsletter is produced with the same informations that were already there on the day it was first created and saved.
The specific page used for newsletter includes a content element 'Menu/Sitemap' with 'Recently updated pages' as 'Menu type'. It has been saved as 'draft (for recurring sendings)' in Direct Mail.
The scheduler contains these 2 tasks with recurring type :
- Direct Mail: Create Mail from Draft (direct_mail)
- Direct Mail: Mailing Queue (direct_mail)
Note : the manual way is fully functional and the newsletter produced is really updated. Same with option "Testmail - Simple" !
So, my problem seems to be linked to the automatic scheduled mailing ! It looks as if the newsletter draft has turned into a freezed snapshot of a specific moment and that Typo3 is unable to update/recalculate this page when invoked in scheduler mode.
On the web, I saw reported problems that could be related like "When mails get sent via the scheduler the same subject is used for all sendings ( https://review.typo3.org/21313 )" and "Adding hooks when sending direct mails via scheduler ( forge.typo3.org/issues/48994 )", but these issues seem to be fixed with direct_mail 3.1.1 version.
I made these observations and, in my opinion, there is some relevancy :
1.There is no domain proposed in the 'Domain of internal links' drop-down list in 'Set default values for mail content fetching options' in Direct Mailer, and yet I have a single record in sys_domain table with a domain name (with no protocol and no final slash). Is there a reason why this record is not considered good, or isn't it the right table ? (uid=3, pid, tstamp, crdate, cruser_id, hidden, sorting, prepend_params and forced=0, redirectHttpStatusCode=301, domain_name=site.subdomain.domain, redirectTo=)
2.In the Typo 3 Log, I get this systematic error message for user _cli_scheduler#LIVE :
Core: Error handler (BE): PHP Warning: Invalid argument supplied for
foreach() in
...typo3conf/ext/direct_mail/Classes/Scheduler/MailFromDraft.php line
125.
The concerned part of MailFromDraft.php is this function : initializeHookObjects
...
/*
* Initializes hook objects for this class
*
* #return void
*/
function initializeHookObjects() {
foreach ($GLOBALS['TYPO3_CONF_VARS']['SC_OPTIONS']['direct_mail']['mailFromDraft'] as $hookObj) {
$hookObjectInstance = t3lib_div::getUserObj($hookObj);
if (is_object($hookObjectInstance) && ($hookObjectInstance instanceof x_directmail_Scheduler_MailFromDraftHook)) {
$this->hookObjects[] = $hookObjectInstance;
}
}
}
...
I'm not sure of understanding very clearly the origin and the use of the hook Object... (in spite of this interesting article by Robert Lemke : typo3.org/documentation/article/how-to-use-existing-hooks-in-your-own-extension/ )
3.Nothing like the apparently requested GLOBALS['TYPO3_CONF_VARS']['SC_OPTIONS']['direct_mail']['mailFromDraft'] seems to exist in TYPO3_CONF_VARS (Global configuration).
Can anybody give me an advice or a clue about what's going on and why I can't get a weekly updated newsletter with the scheduler ? I feel a bit confused !
Thanks in advance for any suggestion or solution (if a miracle is possible).
Greetings.
P-H SILLIAU
I've read about this issue before, but couldn't remember where.
Googling "direct_mail draft (for recurring sendings)" helped.
Try this bug: http://forge.typo3.org/issues/4421
User Markus says:
Things work fine, when you set a domain-record in your system and
select it in the direct_mail settings!
If you don't have a domain-record and specify it in the direct_mail
setup you're able to send normal newsletters, but if you try the
draft-functionality it won't work because the getUrlBase function in
class.tx_directmail_static.php returns an unsuable URL to the System
so it can't use the fetchHTML($file) and quits - therefore not
replacing the old draft contents created when starting the first time.
I don't really get why this works the first time you set up the draft
though....
So setting up the domain-record is a work-around that works.
I hope it does!
Probably, you will find more related topics.
Else, workarounds would be
re-considering the task. As it's a NPO intranet, maybe requirements are not that required suddenly, if asked again :-)
setting up a custom notification tool that only does that precise job.
To put an end to this problem, after many attempts (and informations gleaned from the internet), here is the solution we finally used in our specific case to make the newsletter work :
1st. We created a record in table sys_domain. This was a recurrent instruction in the manual and the forums, and it was IMHO legitimate.
Important : note that the redirectTo field had to remain empty, due to global malfunction of the site if filled (whatever we put in it like /, /var/www/sitename, ...)
2nd. All images, CSS, JS included in template had to be hardcoded (i.e. http ://site/fileamin/images/xxx.png for instance). If we didn't do that, the result would have been an abort in the production of the newletter : Not Found... Maybe, by digging a bit deeper, should we be able to find a parameter we forgot or neglected in some way to solve this issue...
3rd. In the newsletter template TS setup, we added these 2 parameters :
mod.web_modules.dmail.use_domain=[uid of sys-domain]
config.absRefPrefix = / (in order to get rid of PHP DOCUMENT_ROOT (or TYPO3_DOCUMENT_ROOT ?) otherwise wrongly present in all generated links.)
The result is now a well dynamically-generated newsletter, the date is OK, all links are correct and realUrl-compliant (no ../index.php?id=nnn) .... and you know what ?... We're happy ! :-)
Hope it will help !
Many thanks to everybody who answered (Markus, Urs...) or even thought of a possible solution...

For a variety of reasons too convoluted to explain here, I find myself in a position where I need to be able to remove custom code workflows, while leaving the solution there.
I essentially have the same code as the plugin registration tool
Namely
service.Delete("plugintype", new Guid(info));
where info is the workflow id [running on a foreach loop but that's beside the point]
However, while the tool removes the workflows without any issues, my code complains about dependencies.
EM:
Additional information: The PluginType(a0b2dcf7-cf2a-111e-7da9-003021880a42) component cannot be deleted because it is referenced by 1 other components. For a list of referenced components, use the RetrieveDependenciesForDeleteRequest.
which I duly did
RetrieveDependenciesForDeleteRequest req = new RetrieveDependenciesForDeleteRequest();
req.ComponentType = 90; //plugintype
req.ObjectId = new Guid(info);
RetrieveDependenciesForDeleteResponse resp = (RetrieveDependenciesForDeleteResponse)OrgService.Execute(req);
This retrieves an optionvalueset, but there is little I can do with it as I cannot remove it from the solution as the solution is managed.
The only difference I can see is the way the OrganizationServiceProxy gets instantiated. The plugin registration tool includes a way to refresh the securitytoken, but as far as I can tell it's not doing much (I've stepped through the code, but it's possible I missed something)
Are you sure that it is an OptionSetValue that is the dependency? It's much easier to use GUI to determine what the dependencies are. Fire up your solution in CRM 2011, click 'plug-in assemblies', select the relevant assembly then go through each custom workflow/plugin item and click 'Show Dependences'.
In my case I had another workflow (created within CRM) that was referencing a custom workflow preventing removal of the assembly.
You won't be able to remove components from a Managed solution... Are you the author of the solution originally?
As an aside, does your workflow fire on change of the OptionSet that is showing as a dependency?
