i don't know what is the problem i have good internet connection and and alot sbt packages are downloaded
note: im using a clean project with activator new basic scala program

well i looked in maven repo and found that these plugins only available for scala 2.10 while i was working with 2.11.7
so i changed it to 2.10.6 and it worked fine

Unresolved dependency with xgboost library in scala [duplicate]

This question already has answers here:
sbt build failed for spark scala with xgboost
(2 answers)
Closed 5 years ago.
I've added my xgboost jar files in the library and modules in my project structure. (I built the jar files from source successfully as mentioned in the documentation). I can't seem to be able to resolve the dependency for it. I've tried to run it with the dependency included in the build sbt file and with it taken out (since the jars are already included in the library and dependencies via the project structure). Both seem to be failing. Is this some sort of a compatibility issue? I am running scala 2.11.8 and spark 2.1.0. My dependencies are included in a sequence as follows:
"ml.dmlc" %% "xgboost4j" % "0.7", "ml.dmlc" %% "xgboost4j-spark" % "0.7"
I seem to be missing something but I am not sure what. Any ideas?
I tried to publish the jar as suggested but I get the following error:
sbt.ResolveException: unresolved dependency: ml.dmlc#xgboost4j_2.11;0.7: not found
unresolved dependency: ml.dmlc#xgboost4j-spark_2.11;0.7: not found

How to Build a Spray Project Created from Official Template

I've created a new Spray project starting from official template:
git clone git://github.com/spray/spray-template.git my-project
Then, from the project's root, I started sbt:
cd my-project
sbt
The problem is that the project never compiles and I always get the following errors:

Cannot resolve flyway-sbt with handshake_failure on CentOS7

I got problem on my scala project with flyway-sbt plugin.
On project/plugins.sbt file, we have like following
addSbtPlugin("org.flywaydb" % "flyway-sbt" % "4.0.3")
resolvers += "Flyway" at "https://flywaydb.org/repo"
Then, I run following command to run
$ sbt -Dhttp.proxyHost=<proxy IP> -Dhttp.proxyPort=<proxy Port> run

I think that is from ssl issue, but I could not figured out..
It is used under proxy, so the proxy relates to this problem?
If anyone knows the settings related to this issue, please let me know that.

SBT cannot resolve dependency on AWS EC2 instance to 3rd party repository over HTTPS

I installed SBT on my EC2 instance.
In my last commit I added new dependency - Flyway. It uses 3rd party repository - https://flywaydb.org/repo
When I run sbt run on EC2 I get ssl error:
[error] Server access Error: Received fatal alert: handshake_failure url=https://flywaydb.org/repo/org/flywaydb/flyway-sbt_2.10_0.13/4.0/flyway-sbt-4.0.pom
It works on my dev PC.
I tried:
exporting cert from flywaydb.org site and adding it to my keystore on EC2. No luck
updating java from 1.7 to 1.8
upgrading packages of Amazon Linux
I ran out of ideas. Why it might not work on EC2?

In the end I created new EC2 instance with Ubuntu AMI, installed newest scala, newest sbt and it just worked.

Cannot work with scala sbt behind corporate firewall

I am a newbie for scala, trying to work with play framework. After creating a simple scala play app using activator (1.3.6), I am trying to run it. I have tried both activator and sbt (0.13.9, downloaded separately).
For activator, I get this error:

Now, my environment is windows, and sbt is installed (extracted zipped contents) at: C:\sbt-0.13.9
It seems, sbt is trying to resolve a non-existing resource! I tried to visit the url (https://repo.typesafe.com/typesafe/ivy-releases/com.typesafe.play/sbt-plugin/scala_2.10/sbt_0.13/2.4.4/ivys/ivy.xml). So, I created repositories file in 'C:\sbt-0.13.9.sbt', hoping that it will override the existing repositories. Nothing changed. Content of the repositories file:
[repositories]
my-ivy-proxy-releases: http://repo.typesafe.com/typesafe/ivy-releases/, http://repo.scala-sbt.org/scalasbt/sbt-plugin-releases/
my-maven-proxy-releases: http://repo1.maven.org/
I tried with non https paths, because I do not know what my proxy server settings are for https (if that is different). But, I know the http details and updated sbtconfig.txt accordingly (with the same proxy settings, my other projects with maven work else where):
-Dhttp.proxyHost=my.corporate.proxyadd -Dhttp.proxyPort=80 -Dhttp.proxySet=true
-Dsbt.repository.config=C:\sbt-0.13.9\.sbt\repositories
Nothing works. Always the same error. Any clue?
Thanks in advance
